Cute little Bibingka's. 1 for me please.

Vallerio's has been known in my family to be the place to get fresh Pandesal bread. My favorites from here are the Cheese Pimento bread, Cheese Ensamada and the Pastillas. Unfortunately, the Bibinka tasted undercooked. The ladies who were working were very friendly. One lady mentioned that she was the owner and, she introduced us to her new offerings. They do not sell drinks here, but there's a Goldilocks next door if you need a compliment to your pastry. :) There is also no place to sit so, enjoy eating in your car. Yes, I eat in my car.

Small Filipino bakery located in the same plaza as Jollibee, Red Ribbon, and Seafood City in Carson. It's a no frills bakery with nice ladies working the busy counter. Walked in on an early Sunday morning to pick up some goodies for my mom's caretakers. So many good looking Filipino pastries to choose from so I got something fairly simple- the ube bread. I've been here other times before and have chosen bread and various pastries with different ranges of sweetness. The parking lot is nuts. I have parked right in front and sometimes to all the way in the back. The peak times in this plaza are after 5pm during the week and weekends after the late morning. If you get here on an early morning weekend day, parking is fine. Will be back for sure! 4 stars.

V Tropical Bake Shop This is a review for my experience buying desserts and pastries at V Tropical Bake Shop. LOCATION: V Tropical Bake Shop is a Filipino bakery specializing in sweet treats located in Carson. Their bakery is in a Filipino plaza next to Seafood City and Jollibee. Parking can be a nightmare because there are so many shops, but be patient or park in the back. FOOD: Right when you walk in you see a premade collection of all of your Filipino party dessert needs. The aroma just tickles your nose and you are drawn to all corners of the store. To describe Filipino dessert, you'll hear the common phrase, "Not too sweet," which is actually a praise! The main ingredients are usually coconut, glutinous rice, and condensed milk. Filipino Desserts are colorful and have a variety of textures. For the creamy and chewy treat, I would recommend the party tray dish where there are steamed rice cakes with coconut shavings on top. On the tray is usually: puto, purple ube,sapin-sapin, kutsinta, and pitsi pitsi kanin. This dish is your wow factor for color and presentation! Yum! For the golden brown, buttery, and sweet dessert I recommend pandesal, turon, cheese rolls, or bicho bicho. All of their items are flavorful and delicious. You can't go wrong with any selection! SERVICE: They remodeled and the store looks very modern and elegant. All of the aunties that are working, are singing, laughing, and happy. They accept card and cash. Transactions were quick and efficient. My family and I have been coming to V Tropical Bake Shop for years! They make exceptional Filipino desserts that bring feelings of home, comfort, and happiness when you eat their food. If you are in charge of getting dessert for your party, come to V Tropical Bake Shop! Sarap, Sarap!

We were heading to Seafood City when my husband noticed this bakery, so we decided to visit after we went shopping. I was so excited because I love seeing Filipino bakeries, stores, restaurants and other establishments. I always want to check it out to support my people and to get a taste of our culture. When you walk in, it definitely reminds me of one of the bakeries I grew up going to in Delano. It's a small bakery with tons of goodies behind the glass case, there's also some on the floor that you can also grab. I ended up getting a little of almost everything. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. I would love to come back and restock on freshly made bread. I wish I lived a little closer so I can visit more, but I will be back. If you haven't been here, please check it out, you can never go wrong with puto.

Saturday - April 26, 2025 Our go to place for HOT PANDESAL! It reminds us of the Philippines and tastes just like it! We've also ordered other desserts behind their glass container. And those also taste very fresh and delicious! Carioca and Turon are our favorites! The packaged food are a hit or miss for us because we've encountered packaged food that has mold in it. We call and they've exchange them without a problem but having to drive back is very inconvenient. From this last visit the lady at the counter was nice and patient.

So definitely worth taking the best breads home. I love shopping for breads here on Sundays. Being Filipino American in California means you can have the best of two homelands. Nom nom nom.

Very fond childhood memories here! My dad used to take me to a salon across the street for haircuts, and we would come here after for fresh, hot pandesal. It's one of the softest, fluffiest bread rolls imaginable! I remember the lines always went out the door when they baked a new batch. The staff was super efficient bagging all the pandesal, getting orders fulfilled, and keeping the line moving. We'd eat a few before heading to the car, it's that good! Come by around 7AM when they first open if you want the freshest batch possible. They used to do another fresh batch in the afternoon but I don't know if they still do that. Recently I visited around noon, so the pandesal was already packaged and sitting out for a couple of hours. But it's not a big deal because you can reheat the bread at home and it tastes just as good! Ten seconds in the microwave is enough. The pandesal also freezes well, just in case you purchase too many or you can't visit too often. I've tried their other baked goods/pastries over the years like ensaymadas, empanadas, turon, etc. which were also tasty but I don't love them as much. You'll find them in the Seafood City plaza! Right between Jollibee and Red Ribbon Bakery.

Ube Bochi Bochi = sooooo delicious!

I have not tried everything, but..... from what I have tried, I LOVE IT! lol First, the customer service is awesome. They are so nice and just friendly to chat with. The staff and customers do don't rush me when I keep adding more items to my bill when I am at the counter lol. Just overall super nice peeps. There is so much to choose from. Especially, when you have hot items where you are going to call ahead and place them on hold for you or else they will be out, aka the Ube Bochi Bochi. The Ube Bochi Bochi is soooo good! It definitely hit the ube craving that most places don't satisfy. It is filled with Ube paste and covered with sweet rice flour in the shape of a ball. it has a slight crunch on the exterior as it is deep fried and it tastes bomb! I love their Buko Pandan, just make sure you add some ice to your cup. I could eat the Filipino style Tamales all the time. It is sweet and savory packed into a banana leaf. There is chicken and coconut milk with it, and it is bomb, especially when you are on the go. The Ube Baskets are delicious! Another must have item. Thank you Tropical V Bake Shop for the delicious Filipino desserts!

The best traditional Filipino bakery around. I drive pretty far to get some bags of fresh pan de sal. So worth it!

My partner and I stopped by Cafe 86 in Carson hoping we had found our next go-to halo-halo spot…read more Unfortunately, authenticity and customer service were both missing from the recipe. Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
