Hi Yelpers! I've always wanted to go downtown to eat and the perfect time came around. My friends…read moreand I decided to make a quick stop at Theo's Rolls and Bowls and I was very impressed. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. There was a self serve machine where you could place your order. The bowls start at $10 and you just pick your toppings. I got the lemon grass chicken & rice with greens and an egg. I choose the bang, bang sauce. I watched the lady make the food and could not wait to taste it. My food came in a bowl and the portion was good. The food was sooo delicious. I could taste ever fresh herb in this dish. It was hot and delicious. I would most definitely recommend this spot to everyone. It wasn't a busy Friday when we went so the service was very fast. When you go I hope you enjoy the food as much as my friends and I did.

When I first walked up, I had a question, and they just pointed me toward the kiosk to order. The same thing happened to the customer after me too lol, so I guess that's just how they operate here. Despite that, my drink came out really fast...probably within five minutes. Since then, I've tried several other boba spots, and honestly, this one has had the best flavor so far. The drink wasn't overly sweet even at 100% sweetness, and the tapioca pearls were the perfect consistency. I hate that this place is so far from me because I would absolutely go back again today.

Everyone has told me that Ekiben is a must-try in Baltimore and now I understand why. My mom and I…read moregot to Ekiben a little after 5pm on Saturday and it was packed. While we waited for our food, many continuously piled in to order or pick up their food. I'd recommend calling in your order a head of time because they get pretty backed up, but the food is well worth the wait. I got the Tofu Brah bun and my mom got the chili noodles with pork and a side of rice and beans. All of the food was so flavorful and the portions were generous. The bun itself was so light and fluffy, and the tofu was crispy. They didn't skimp on the pork in the chili noodles - about half the dish was really tender pork. The rice and beans were nice and spicy too and my mom loved them! This is more of a grab and go kind of place, but there are two outdoor benches and some countertop seating inside

Flavors were all there and I appreciated the bao bun to some extent. Though it took me a while to figure out how I was supposed to eat it. Eventually figured it out but wasn't keen on getting the top and bottom in my mouth at the same time. I ended up mostly just having the thin bottom half with the sauce and pickle. That on its own was plenty filling. Having lived many years in Japan, I found it difficult to wrap my head around the name which translates as the bento one buys at train stations ahead of long trips. Nothing on the menu resembles anything remotely similar.
