    2 Two-Cheese Pizza Pie

Stopped in one night craving a pizza and Barfly's did not disappoint. Although service was a bit slow the pizza came out hot and fresh. The fluffy crust gets me everytime. The bar was packed but there were a few open tables on a Wednesday night.

I used to live in Baltimore a few years ago and never even knew Baltimore pizza was a thing- but I absolutely loved the Baltimore style pizza pie at barfly's! This place is a cute and cosy neighborhood bar and the service was fast! I had an espresso martini which was great and then tried the hot and spicy pizza pie which was delicious. It seems like a deep dish but is still airy and not too heavy. Will definitely be back!

I am so happy I found this place! Super cute neighborhood bar with delicious pizzas! We had a nice bartender who was very patient with us as we waited on another person to arrive. We had the wings while we waited and I really enjoyed them. They were grilled instead of fried which is a winner for me. The star of the show was the pizza! I had the hot and spicy and it was delicious! They also serve food late on the weekends so this will def be added to my list as a late night food spot!!

Cute walk-in bar in fed hill! My guy and I were on a walk around this neighborhood and stumbled across this bar. We only grabbed a beer but the food looked good! I'll be back!

Shrimp and chicken custom pizza, fantastic!

This place definitely has one of the best and most unique pizzas in the Baltimore area. It's a smaller bar/restaurant, but it's cozy. I got a round of their wings and a custom chicken/shrimp pizza. The wings were phenomenal, fall off the bone! The pizza was unique. The crust is crunchy on the outside and a little on the bottom, but the inside of the dough is soft and fluffy. They don't skimp on the cheese, which is always great. Bartenders were busy, but always helpful if you need to order or refill. Overall, add this to your list of great Baltimore pizza places!

I love it here. The pizza is amazing. My drink was tasty and they have the most bourbons to choose from in the area . The owner was our bartender and he is everything. We had great conversation and he taught us a lot about bourbon and rye ... the different companies. Nice sized bar and I found a parking spot in front. I will be returning for a cocktail and wings and pizza.

Great pizza and espresso martinis!! The martinis weren't too strong, the pizza was crispy yet still light. Good service, pretty quick. Dim lighting, nice ambiance. I will say it was a bit warm in there but it might've been heat from the kitchen.

Big Mac pizza, Carajillo drink, and Cheese pizza

I hadn't been to Barfly's in a while, and when my friend suggested it I was excited to return. I was even more excited when they told me that the specialty pizza was the Big Mac pizza. I had this several years ago and really enjoyed it, and was happy to get it again as it is not always on the menu. It was just a delicious as I remember, and it's my favorite pizza here. I also had a Carajillo cocktail and it was very good. I am not able to find many places that offer a Carajillo, so when I saw it on the menu I knew I had to try it. I was very happy with the drink and the pizza, and will definitely go back to get both again sometime!

I had been wanting to try Barfly's for quite some time. The pizza was as good as advertised. There is also an extensive whiskey menu, featuring many of the world's best beverages. The staff is great here. It is street parking only, which we found nearby with ease. We did not like the mandatory credit card fee when paying by card. There are a lot of fees nowadays I have noticed when dining out.

Disappointed is all I got to say. My friends and I were thinking of a place to order pizza from. Being the pizza connoisseur I am, I've already tried all the pizza spots in Baltimore. I suggested Matthew's Pizza, but it was closed. As my previous review, this is the perfect dupe for it and to our luck Barfly's was open for about 30 more minutes. I called around 9:30 PM on a Friday night. Their kitchen closes at 10PM. I stated my order and the man on the phone said, "ok 5 pizzas!" I corrected him and said "no only 4 pizzas!" But then I counted again, and he was correct. 5 pizzas. We also wanted fries, but they ran out. He said the order would be ready in 25 minutes. Got to Barfly's in exactly 25-30 minutes and the food was all ready. I left, got gas nearby and realized that I was a pizza short! Considering I was so close, I decided to hop back on over and see if I can get the pizza they missed. Nope. The kitchen was closed and the chef had left. Apparently they only charged me for 4 pizzas. But still,~$60 for 4 pizzas?! Damn. A bit confused because the man on the phone corrected me and said it was 5 pizzas, when I thought it was 4. Got home and had a slice. The dough was chewy and definitely not crispy. The slice seemed slightly undercooked. Me and my friend (who has been here before) both thought it wasn't good this time around. Not sure because it was take-out or what. Not completely downgrading my review, because I did enjoy my first time here. Hopefully next time will be a better experience than this time.

For food, I started with the crudo, which was super fresh and beautifully done -- light, bright, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. Then I had the scallops, and this is where they really won me over. Perfectly cooked, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth... just one of those dishes you don't want to end. We immediately asked the hostess for a different table. She told as that the three booths and the six other two-tops were all reserved. She left us with no attempt at an apology and promptly put reserved signs on all the open tables. When we left an hour later, one booth and 4 two-tops had never been used. Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. We will not be back.

I came as part of a large group dinner. I appreciate that they took large reservations and sat us in a nice spot in the middle of the restaurant. The server was nice and patient, but I did notice his jacket smelled like cigaret smoke. I asked what to get, since the menu is *huge* and overwhelming (I'm not sure why sushi, steak and pad Thai are on the same menu?). He recommended sushi, so I got a flaming dragon roll (I forget the exact name). Anyways, everyone else also ordered and the food came relatively quickly. Now...when I tell you this is the worst sushi I've ever had. Again, I hate being negative but I have to tell it like it is! When they first presented the dish, it was cool because they serve it on fire. I knew that they had sake in the dish (probably so the flame can keep going after they take it out of the kitchen). However, when I bit into it, the sake was *extremely* overpowering. I couldn't taste anything else except the sake. It was extremely alcohol-heavy and I could not finish the dish. I asked others to try it, and they all agreed that it was too heavy. The prices were also very high for what we got. The only food I enjoyed were the appetizers, but they were still unremarkable. Overall, I regrettably cannot recommend this place. None of the dishes stood out, and the sushi was shocking.

What a fabulous find! This place is a must try. It is connected to a comedy club (Magooby's Joke…read moreHouse). There's plenty of parking. If you park on the upper side there are extremely steep steps. Park on the same side as the post office/entrance to the comedy club and there are no steps. There is an outside seating area as well. The inside has moody vibes and says speakeasy but out in the open. The inside isn't large, but comfortable with seating at the bar and several high tops. There are a gazillion bourbons and they even have flights. There's also a fully stocked bar for any drink you want. They have 2 beers on tap and tons of bottle/can options. However, I strongly encourage you to try the cocktails. These are elevated cocktails in the sense that the combination of liquors and mixers really make great pairings. The side car was great. We also tried the Naughty and Nice (perfect blend of spice and sweet), Port of Manhattan (the addition of the port takes this classic to the next level), and the Corpse Reviver #2 which was our absolute surprisingly favorite. The glass is washed with absinthe (see photo). Not only was it super cool to see, but the after taste after each sip was amazing with this addition to the drink. We are not gin drinkers but this was delicious! Venture off of your normal order and explore these incredible crafty and well thought out cocktails that you will thoroughly enjoy and appreciate for the art that they are. The menu was very good as well. The chorizo queso was delicious and the German Sausage Platter was tasty. The portions were good. People around us ordered burgers that were generously portioned with all the fixings. They have lots of specials like burger of the month, Wednesdays are burger night (half price) and the drinks are so reasonably priced! The service was immediate and constant throughout our entire visit. Very friendly and eager to make your experience enjoyable.
