I do not often write yelp reviews but since Slava went out of his way so brilliantly to take care of my appliance(s) repair, I am going out of my way to recommend him. In fact, I could not recommend him more highly indeed! After running my dishwasher about six different times and not seeing anything wrong with it, except that the dishes would still be dirty at the end of the cycle, I resolved to use yelp for the first time to find an appliance repair professional in my area. I called a couple, left messages, and within minutes Slava called me back. He was very kind, took all his time on the phone with me, made an appointment to show up promptly within a few hours, and he was even a few minutes early, which was great! Once he arrived he tested my dishwasher and everything seemed to be running properly, but, since my sink had clogged up the night before, he referred me to one of his colleagues (plumber) to be able to take care of the sink first. Slave personally called the plumber, and made sure that my sink would be taking care of in the next hour or so... So that then he could come back to my house and retest the dishwasher to be sure. He was about to leave and not charge me for that diagnostic visit, and said he's simply come back later to complete the diagnostic; I remembered that my washer/dryer unit had been making a funny noise, so right before Slava left, he gave me an estimate for the part that needed repair. While the plumber came over and took care of the sink, (extremely professional referral, thanks!), Slava was handling ordering the parts for my washer/dryer unit. He then came back a couple of hours later, ran the dishwasher, adjusted one minor thing and everything was working beautifully. Since he said there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher, he did not charge me anything for the check up/service!! He simply charged me a minimal fee to repair the washer/dryer piece that was broken, and my only regret was that I didn't have any additional broken things for him to repair :) Slava was extremely professional, courteous, and took all his time to explain to me what the issues were, how he was going to fix them, and made sure that I fully understood before moving forward with the repair. As he was leaving, I asked him how long he has been in business, and he said just since the Jan 2013, which struck me as unusual because he seemed so skilled and experienced, and then he explained that he had been in the appliance-repair/servicing business for over 15 years, but just started his solo venture. Truly I could not recommend him enough and I can see that, with his skills, professionalism, and brilliant attitude, not only will his clients be in great hands, but his business will grow exponentially, I am certain. His referral to the plumber was a great extra added bonus, and a great example of his work ethics and how Slava goes above and beyond for his clients!!! In more than 60 years, Slava is best appliance repair person I have ever used. Far superior to anyone including named appliance companies. Whirlpool's appliance person, Appliance Doctor (the absolute worst), recently told me #1 not enough access to the washer and (2) needed motor/motor pins. Slava came out and reprogramed the washer and 15 minutes later, that was it. Slava also came out for my Samsung french door refrigerator. I apologize for the long review from a year ago but I just had to provide an update. The washing machine is functioning perfectly. This time I needed to have my range hood repaired. It may have been just a coincidence but immediately after an electrician installed a new ceiling fan we noticed the range hood wouldn't work. Is it just a coincidence the fan and the range good are on the same circuit? At any rate, Slava came to the rescue and diagnosed the circuit board that failed and we now have our functioning range hood again. I have had a persistant issue with my washer for almost 5 years. I take good care of my appliances with regular maintence from qualified indiviuals and maintaining a home care regimen. I called about this issue, had regular inspections and repairs performed but the slow water leak to the front right remained a problem. I was blamed for the leak with"too much soap, wrong kind of soap, too big/toosmall a load"etc. I called Slava,who arrived promptpy and courteously. We called Slava about our dead Samsung dryer and he showed up later that day. He took the unit apart in a neat and efficient manner and quickly diagnosed a blown thermal fuse. He later discovered this was a result of overheating caused by a clogged vent hose--Pacific Sales installed the unit originally and used a really cheap and flimsy hose. Slava was able to procure the replacement part the next day, finish the repair, upgrade the hose and even vacuumed the inside of the unit. At all times, he was courteous, informative and took great care not to do damage or lose parts. Now our dryer is better than new! We highly recommend Slava. He is a true professional. read more
