I had a Miele dishwasher that needed repair. The person who answered the phone was knowledgeable and friendly. They sent a wonderful tech and the tech knew this line and ordered the part I needed. He followed up so well until it was repaired because the parts took some Time to arrive but he kept in touch telling me he had not forgotten me. All during COVID and this company was just great. While there I showed the technician another issue I was having with a wine cooler and he was able to order parts and fix that as well. ABC replied shortly after We had requested a quote late that evening. We spoke the first thing the next morning and set up a time. I had a 25 year old Kenmore fridge/freezer that was not cooling and the freezer was making snow on everything inside. ABC came on time and diagnosed the problem immediately, the defrosting unit. The tech had one available and fixed it within an hour and that included him defrosting the freezer with a hair dryer. He told me that I could have saved some money if I wanted to defrost it myself but I needed to get it done quick so I had him do it. I received a bad experience using this service. The guy was rude and got offended when I offered a suggestion because he flat out told me my appliance was broken. My trash compactor was JAMMED, but he insisted on telling something was wrong with my motor (which was running fine and I disclosed to him). However, he also FORGOT to UNPLUG the compactor resulting in the wires splicing causing a loud pop to occur. He literally forgot to unplug the compactor which now WILL NOT TURN ON. The motor was running so it was hot, but it was never inoperable, now my compactor that I've had since October, which just needed to be un-jammed is now broken. Avoid them at all cost. I now have to shell out 1,300 dollars for a misstep by their technician. I'm beyond pissed right now at the poor level of service I received. read more

Our 'middle-aged Whirlpool 'fridge started developing 'powder snow' frost in it's freezer;5 weeks ago. Thinking a bad door gasket was letting-in humidity, I cleaned the sealing surfaces & brushed-out the freezer in the morning - but it'd be frosty again that evening. Then hard ice formed in the ducts between the freezer & refrig compartments - and the fridge temp rose to 50-deg F by dinner prep - so time to call a Pro. We hired a serviceman (Danny) to come and repair our washer. In the process of fixing it, he broke the bracket that holds the front piece. He taped the front panel and explained he didn't have the part with him and would have to order it. Now, they want to charge us another $60 for a service call to fix the bracket they broke. This is a racket. We called and spoke with "Jana" who would not listen, and would speak over us. She raised her voice immediately and said she was aware of the situation prior to our call and that it was due to wear and tear of the appliance. She agreed she was happy with this logic and that it served her well. I bet it does...what a way to make a living...break people's property and then charge them to fix it. When I said we would escalate this, she said, "Do what you need to do." So, we Yelped. ***************** Okay - I'm updating this from a 1 star to a 2 star, because within 20 minutes after we posted our "Yelp," Jana called back and said they would fix what they broke at no charge. I thanked her for the change in her status, and asked her what happened. She stated she called her supervisor "Steve" and got the approval. I'm guessing that Steve is connected to Yelp and called her. Danny informed us it would take 4 business days to order the part. We called at 5 business days, and Jana was still negative, stated no one told us 4 days, and that it would be end of week or beginning of next. The next day or two went by and Danny came over and fixed the bracket. I'm moving from 1 star to 2 because someone there cares about doing the right thing. I am reluctant to move the rating any higher because it was not a pleasant experience, and I am unsure of the kind of service we would receive in the future unless teeth were pulled and management was involved. He was efficient, diagnosed the problem with my front load washer, corrected it but not before he checked everything else in my 10 year old washer. I feel secure that I can get a lot more years out of my washer & the fee was significantly less than I was quoted by other appliance repair places. Have a Maytag Dryer (stack washer/dryer) that was making a loud racket and did not dry. Went to the ABC website and set up an appointment. Heard back right away. The repair man came 5 min early, wasted no time in fixing the air pump. The dryer works/sounds like new! They cover a good area of LA. I would use them again. read more

Since it is an older model, he even gave us some tips and tricks to keep it in service longer. (The line to the in-door water dispenser was freezing and he gave us some recommendations on how to prevent this in the the future!) He also gave us some options for the hinky ice maker. I gave this place a shot and called them after reading the decent reviews on here. My usual appliance guy was out of town so i didn't really have too many choices. My oven broke right before thanksgiving so i was pretty desperate to get it fixed in time. Gene came to fix it and was quick to figure out the problem. He changed some type of part and my oven was good to go in about an hour. Luckily i didn't have to cancel my thanksgiving plans. Gene is definitely a character and such a funny guy. By the time he was leaving he told me we were family and i should come to his son's BBQ. At first he thought it was the control panel but then later that day he called me and told me to reset some thing on screen and it might work, guess what!? It worked! Had an ok experience with this company for having them look at an ice maker that was not working. Communication was good, I left a message and got a return call quickly and was able to to set up an appointment easily. They actually came a day early which was a little awkward because it was at a property with a tenant, so I got a call from the tenant saying 'they're here now and need payment.' It seems that they were able to do the work quickly, but it was more expensive than I was expecting based on my initial conversation with them and the information I had given them about the unit. I would recommend getting a written quote ahead of time, as the amount that I referenced from my initial conversation when setting the appointment didn't matter to the tech. The unit ended up not working for a couple days which was a little annoying because again this was at a property with a tenant so he was calling me letting me know it wasn't fixed. ABC came out quickly and did get it working, so to their credit they took care of the problem but ideally it would have worked the first time. read more

I like to give credit where credit is due. My subzero refrigerator needed a new replacement part, and they did it quickly, nicely, and professionally. Worked with the two managers (paul and daniel), and my technician tony got the job done to my complete satisfaction. Their estimate cost is only $35, and they are very punctual and take pride in their work. If getting estimate, this place is the way to go. And if the estimate is within the range of other estimates, suggest taking this company versus another. For my job, they offered 90 day warranty on labor, and 1 year on parts. They also left the work area spotless, and was considerate with my time and concerns. Hence, the 5 stars! read more

They "repaired" my Maytag Washer/Dryer, and replaced two small parts, a rubber seal (Maytag price to me $26.70), and a Bearing (Maytag price to me $14.44). These guys saved my butt! I had an important client in Beverly Hills who needed her vent hood repaired. Problem was the name of the vent hood couldn't be found on it anywhere! I called 8 different appliance co's and no one would help w/o appliance name, model #, or serial #, ugh! My customer got sick so we had to postpone but Denny totally worked w/ us and came the next day on time as promised!
