I was more than happy to run to Yelp to provide an update to my previous review. Me and a group of friends and I stayed at one of Raileys newer properties, Wispering Rapids. This property was honestly one of the most amazing Deep Creek properties I have ever stayed in. The house was So new and so clean. You could just smell the newness and cleanliness of the property upon exiting. Definitely a breath of fresh air, as most of the other home in the area are in need of some updates. The house had a total of six bedrooms and all of the rooms had their own bathrooms! That's a rare find for these vacation homes. The living room, dining room and kitchen areas were massive, allowing everyone to engage with one another while we cooked our meals. The deck held a large hot tub, with a fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating which provided another large location for myself and my guests to socialize. My one gripe, I wish the team had did a better job with shoveling after the recent snowfall. The driveway, walkways and the porch had quite an accumulation of fallen snow, making it both difficult and scary to walk on. Other than that, this was a much better experience than the last.

That bag stayed on the front porch for the duration of our stay. Then, right after we arrive, a man comes to the door and said he was expecting the owner as he was here to fix a few things. We were in the middle of unloading so we let him in. He was in the house about 30 minutes. We don't know what he repaired... We arrived New Years Eve and didn't try the hot tub that night as we celebrated New Years. The next morning we awakened to six inches of fresh snow and no snow shovel. We had to borrow a neighbors! After shoveling the path to the hot tub and clearing the front porch and some back deck space, another gentleman knocked on the door. This gentleman informed us he was there to drain, clean, and refill the hot tub. He said no one had cleaned it in a month and the water was green. So no hot tub that day or evening.... We then discover that two burners on the stove were malfunction and the garbage disposal didn't work. We tried to call the Property Management company, but they were closed because it is New Years Day. My stepson spent about an hour repairing the garbage disposal and found someone had put a screw in there. The next morning, we try to call the Property Management company again but after being on hold for a while, it pushed us to voicemail. We left a message and it took two hours to call us back. When we received the callback, we reported all the problems we encountered. She offered to send someone to repair the burners on the stove and we declined, choosing not to have a third service call in three days. She told us their company meets once a week to discuss renter issue and to determine if any compensation was appropriate. A week later, we were notified that we were not entitled to any recourse because we didn't open any work orders. There were two work orders processed while we were there and we self rescued the rest because we didn't want more strangers interrupting our family holiday. We will be back in Deep Creek next New Uears but will go back to AirBNB. By the way, I posted this same review a few days ago on the Raileys site and it disappeared. my review disappeared. I wonder how many other less than favorable reviews they have removed...on the Raileys site, this house only had five star reviews.

The details and design of the cabins are truly charming. Amenities such as coffee and soap are locally sourced. Customer service was apologetic, but offered little solution for this huge (and disgusting) inconvenience. After many calls back and forth we did get an air mattress that we place in the dining room for the rest of the stay and offered a partial refund. The house also seemed like it had not been cleaned properly. The bedding and bathrooms had hair all over and some were stained. No paperwork has been received, so at this point, who knows if they will honor their word with the refund. Bed bugs aside, the house was in a quiet neighborhood and close to the lake.

Our stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We arrived needing to use the restroom,…read moreonly to find that the water was completely shut off. After calling the office, maintenance was sent and we were initially told it was due to an electrical outage--but later, after multiple complaints, we were told the water had actually been shut off for the winter. Once the water was turned back on, we realized there was no toilet paper provided, even though the listing stated that a few rolls would be supplied. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of the issues. The hot tub barely functioned, with only two jets working. The grill was filthy, covered in old food, and wouldn't even light to be cleaned. A replacement grill was brought out, but it didn't work either. Inside, the cleanliness was unacceptable--there was trash on the floors between furniture, the bottom of the fridge looked like it had never been cleaned, and the entire place had an unpleasant smell. There were also several safety concerns. The porch was covered in a slippery slime, and I ended up twisting my back after stepping on it. The air fryer was broken and fell apart while I was removing hot food, nearly causing a serious burn. Appliances throughout the home were either ineffective or unusable. The dishwasher made dishes smell worse, and the kitchen sink didn't get hot enough to properly hand wash them. The washer/dryer combo took at least five hours per load. None of the downstairs games worked properly. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the bathrooms was completely unacceptable. When my husband lifted a toilet seat in the basement, there appeared to be dried feces or blood on it. When I reported this, I was told that housekeeping "always ensures the bathrooms are clean," which clearly was not the case. I spent the majority of the first two days on the phone trying to resolve these issues, which completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. After we left, I spoke with someone in the office (Aiden or Hayden), who told me we would not receive any reimbursement. I requested to speak with a manager and was told I would receive a call on Tuesday, 04/07/2026--but no one ever followed up. Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Instead of a relaxing getaway, it turned into a stressful and unpleasant trip. I would not recommend staying here

Our water pump lost power one night and Long and Foster sent out a repair person bright and early the next morning. I highly recommend Long and Foster and Mountain Merlot. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub and sauna were in good working order and the wifi worked well, especially for being on top of the mountain.

The cabin has a Fire place, Grill, Flat screen TV's, beautiful fully stocked Kitchen, Hot Tub, Wifi, Ceiling Fans, 3Bed Rooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, Nice living room, upstairs, basement, Washer and Dryer, big deck/porch, fire pit outside. The cabin has plenty of linens. Pet Friendly too, (pets considered) we brought our 2 Huskies. And the Fall season we are in, it's a great time to rent.

Pictures are attached. This is clear evidence that the cleaning crews don't wash the sheets/ linens. I am SO happy I used my own pillow during my stay there. Who knows how long the hot dog was there for. All I can say is, ew. I will most likely not use this company again.
