I was sent a surprise flower delivery from this place. It was exciting to get a surprise flower delivery. The flowers were so beautiful and the bouquet was so well done. The colors really went well together. I just so happen to love roses, and orange roses. You can't go wrong with roses, and orange flowers and orange roses are just so beautiful. And, I happen to love dandelions which this bouquet included. Those are also one of my favorite flowers and the symbolism of dandelions is beautiful. I called Vacha on a Friday looking for a Blackhawks themed funeral spray for wake on Sunday. The staff along with the owner sent me a picture of the spray. They stated I would have to let them know that afternoon for ordering purposes. The one I received was better than the picture sent. The price was great too. I called around to another local florist and their option for a Blackhawks themed item was over $1,000 more expensive. I was having a difficult time coming up with something to write on the card. Ordered a arrangement to be delivered to a funeral service, never delivered, called to see what happened at 5:30 they were closed, checked my receipt all information correct so will have to see what are they going to do about this. I was unable to attend this service personally and these flowers were very important that they arrive! I even checked with the funeral home but they said nothing was delivered! I am very disappointed in Vachas floral in Oak Forest and depending on how they handle this huge mess up on thier end I will not recommend or use in the future!!! read more

Selected floral arrangements for my Sister's funeral. They had 6 different books to select an arrangement from, something for any taste. We chose a classic red rose spray for the casket, and two pink round sprays for each side. When they arrived at the service they were absolutely beautiful! There was 4 dozen big red roses tastefullly displayed for the casket. The pink arrangements in stands were stunning! Vacha's was able to find the soft pink lilies to complete the spray. It had roses, carnations, lilies, etc. soft, pale, pink flowers. The owner, Pat, was very patient with us as we scoured the books multiple times to select the perfect arrangements. I want to start this review out by saying that my husband has been sending me beautiful flowers from this florist for years now! We even used them last year for my mom's wedding and had no complaints. So naturally, when I got married I decided to go with them! The flowers for my WEDDING were to be delivered at 2pm that day. When it was 2:30 & we had no flowers, my mom called to see what time we could expect them. The lady on the phone, who said she was the manager, was extremely rude and said, "First of all we don't guarantee a time". My mom says no problem, but when can we expect our delivery? The lady goes on to claim that we never ordered any flowers from them. She had NO CLUE about our order, even though we are fairly positive that the lady on the phone was the person who had taken our order. They had literally no record of our order, even though they took our money! My mom had to text a picture of our receipt(that said PAID!) before the lady on the phone finally believed us! Since it was already so close to my ceremony time, I had to have them deliver the flowers to the chapel instead of to me directly. The whole way to the chapel I was sick to my stomach because they never called to tell us if they were delivered or not. I was driving to the chapel with no idea if I would even have flowers. The one positive I will say is that for the extremely short amount of time they had to put things together, the flowers did turn out beautiful. I have supported this business for YEARS, but never again! We did not even receive an apology or explanation as to why they didn't have our information. read more
