Celidan Creations has been an amazing resource to my family for the last 8 years. We live in California but we've been sending a Christmas arrangement to my uncle's grave every year. My father found Celidan, gave them a call, and they were able to locate my uncle's plot and delivered the flowers in 2010. I hired Celidan to do the floral arrangements for my May 2017 wedding. All of the employees were really friendly, and I worked with Regina who was a great listener and really made an effort to design something in line with what I had described. She was really helpful and she never tried to upsell me on anything. I never felt taken advantage of by them or that the "wedding tax" was being applied. They were very easy to make appointments with and they were also on time for the day of our wedding. We looked at other florists prior to selecting Celidan, and ultimately chose them because of price and their customer service. They were the only florist we spoke to in the Naperville area that quoted us under $2500 for 5 bouquets, 7 boutonnieres, table arrangements, and an altar. Everything turned out amazing and my floral arrangements are one of the more memorable parts of our wedding decor. We decided to order some flowers for a special occasion at work- a HUGE promotion. I ordered a 50$ arrangement- specifically asking that the money went into the flowers, not the vase. I requested fall colors. I was NOT disappointed. I worked a florist during high school, so I do know my flowers. Celidan put the money into the flowers. They used Gerber daisys, and a selection of brightly colored autumn flowers, berries finished with a gorgeous bow. The arrangement was a huge discussion piece around the office. Not only was the recipient thrilled, as well as myself and the others who sent it, I had no less than 7 people ask where it came from. The service was impeccable. i requested that it be delivered around 11:00- to coincide with the announcement during a meeting. The flowers came right on time. The ordering process was painless, quick and professional. I will certainly use them again. Choosing a florist can be difficult- especially in a suburb filled with chains. While on the hunt for a florist for my wedding, I narrowed my choices down to three possibilities. My first appointment was with Celidan, and needless to say, I knew from the start they'd be my florist. I met with Jeanine early on a Saturday morning with my step-mother (she wanted to pay for my flowers). I showed Jeanine a picture of what I liked, which coincidentally matched the colors of my wedding. She was able to pin-point the flowers used in the photo, and suggested less pricier alternatives, as we're on a budget. I knew right away I wanted a cascading bouquet/waterfall. Jeanine suggested which flowers I should use and where, which one would be the focal point, and how the other's would be positioned so they wouldn't overshadow the main flower. The end result I can only imagine will be stunning and unique. One of my ultimate reasons for choosing Celidan Creations was the comfort. From the moment I met Jeanine, her energy was evident. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions with ease. It was like talking about flowers with a friend or relative (one who's a flower expert, anyway!) She made the experience fun and exciting, which says a lot because I am NOT a flower chicky. Seriously. I can name about 5 different kinds of flowers, but that's it. I am not opting for ceremony or reception flowers, so the price quote for corsages, boutineers, my matron of honor's bouquet, and my bouquet was reasonable, and just came in under budget. They will deliver everything for us, for a $10 charge. I certainly didn't get the pricey and snooty impression here, but I suppose things have changed in the seven years since that review was written. My step-mother and I were welcomed warmly and were treated with respect, despite the fact that we are not ordering a full fledged arrangement for a ceremony and reception. I didn't sense any judgment being passed on us for our desire to keep things simple and inexpensive. I'm excited to see how everything turns out, and will update my review accordingly. read more

Called for same day delivery.... the shop agreed to drop arrangement off at end of day. They charged for arrangement ( on the high side for the size and variety in the arrangement) but left a note instead of leaving arrangement as discussed when order was placed. Thanks to positive reviews on Yelp, I contacted Celidan Creations to receive a quote on flowers for my stepdaughter's wedding. We worked with Jeanine on our initial visit. She understood my stepdaughter's vision and showed us a variety of flowers as some possibilities we could use for our wedding flower needs. After receiving all quotes, we decided to go with this florist based on their comparable pricing and proximity to the wedding venue. Jeanine worked with us from that point on and was always quick to respond to our emails and questions. The best part is she was getting married at the same place as we were holding the wedding and understood the venue and space. Jeanine did a trial run of the flowers for the guest tables which would be similar in color and style of the bridal party and the bride's bouquet weeks before the wedding and we saw the vision come to life. Jeanine was great to work with, so friendly and really listened to what we wanted and translated it into a beautiful trial bouquet. My stepdaughter's wedding was last Saturday and when the flowers were delivered to my home, they exceeded our expectations. The same feeling occurred when we walked into the venue and saw the guest tables, the place card table, and the alcove floral arrangements. The color and the greenery was just beautiful. The only negative was the ledge greenery we wanted. I felt it was underwhelming as it was not full and laid flat. Other than that, we were so happy with the beautiful floral creations provided. Celidan is located down the street from where I grew up, so even though my wedding was a bit further away (in Lake Villa, IL) from their customary venues, the team was totally flexible and gracious about doing floral design for our event. They literally and figuratively went the extra mile for us! My mom, sister and I met with Jeanine early on in the process. Even though I wasn't terribly "into" the florals, I had enough of an idea of preferred style and color to get her started. Jeanine understood right away and had great suggestions! I ended up loving everything -- the bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and other decorative arrangements. Unfortunately Jeanine had to deal with rain which began only about 45 minutes before the outdoor ceremony, ultimately forcing us inside for Plan B. That said, the fact that I had no idea what was going on (and therefore no worries) says a lot about Celidan's professionalism -- they were able to adapt the outdoor arrangements and bring them inside. I have been a long time customer of Celidan Florist and they were my first choice when it came to choosing a florist to do the flower arrangements for our wedding. We worked with Karin on the details of our centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and other floral needs. Karin was receptive to our ideas and had examples from her past work to share with us. We were able to email Karin pictures of additional ideas as we found them. As a bride on a budget, I was thrilled with how honest and patient Karin was with us throughout the planning process. I stressed how important it was to me that guests be able to take the centerpieces with them after the wedding (which meant no vases) and we had some special floral requests that tend to be more expensive. (Orchids and gardenias). She would regularly update the invoice so that we could see how much the floral arrangements would be depending on the design chosen. She adjusted it every time we changed our mind about something - and she never made us feel bad about changing our minds. Karin gave us everything we asked for and they looked spectacular. This florist did the flowers for my wedding this summer and I was very pleased. I was trying to keep cost down and thus fully expected to not end up with all the types of flowers I ideally wanted in the bouquets. When we sat down to decide what flowers we would be ordering, the florist asked what I liked. When I said "Well that will probably be too expensive but I do like such and such...", she insisted "Well you're consistent, that's what you like and keep pointing out. No, you need those." Then she went on to work out numbers of the flowers and fillers to make the bouquets exceed my highest hopes and makes sure they were what I wanted and more. They all turned out beautifully with all of my favorite flowers, colors/shades and the bouquets were very full as I had hoped. My only negative comment is the florist dropped off my bridal bouquet around 11am at the church and by the time we did pictures around 5pm, my bouquet was becoming very wilted and somewhat brown (they were light pink flowers). The florist put together the bridal bouquet; the rest for the bridal party had been arranged by myself. I ordered all the flowers through this florist but arranged them the day before for bridesmaids' to keep cost down. I had fully expected my bouquet to last longer since it was professionally arranged, and the bridesmaids' to not, but it was quite the opposite. I can't complain too much, as my flowers made it through pictures (although barely) and that was great; I just wish my bouquet could have held up a big longer than 6 hours. read more
