I've been thinking about getting a bagged/high-end vacuum for a while due to allergies but didn't want to buy one directly off Amazon or online only to not like it, so I searched for the nearest dealers around me to try them out in person first. There was a few options but I ended up going Vacuum Depot in Anaheim because I had a great feeling about the place by their photos on google and yelp and reviews. Upon stepping into the store, I thought it was cool that Henry was already out, sitting on the couch by the door and waiting for his customers in rather than hiding in the back somewhere; a great first impression. He greeted me and proceed to help me with what I needed, assessing what type floors I had as well as explaining to me the SEBO's similarities and differences between their models. I was thinking about going all out on a D4 or E3 but he didn't carry those in store and suggested other models such as the K3, which I ended up getting. I loved when a sales guy talks you down from spending more money. I tried it out at the store and definitely think it was the right call. I decided to take my vacuum to Vacuum Depot Anaheim based on previous reviews. I've had it for a few years and it stopped working properly. I received a call with the estimated cost, I agreed to have it repaired. However, upon picking up my vacuum, I was informed of a much higher cost than initially quoted. I was never notified about any additional costs. Reluctantly, I paid the additional amount and took my vacuum home, only to find that the same issue persisted. I contacted the shop and was advised to bring it back. Ended up with two more visits before the problem was finally resolved. During my last visit, I noticed that a part had been replaced, but it wasn't new. I noticed my part on a floor model (used) and insisted on having my part put back as the other part was a downgrade. I am very unhappy with the repair service at this location and will not be returning. read more

My corded Dyson vacuum is about 7-8 years old and the brush roller stopped working. I cleaned it and did as much as I could after talking to a Dyson rep. Unfortunately nothing worked. I took the vacuum to Vacuum Depot. They called me on the third day, it was fixed. He replaced whatever was controlling the brush to work. He also cleaned as much as he could. The price was reasonable, around $80. So far the Dyson is working well but next time I'n buying a non Dyson vacuum. read more

I was here to get an attachment for dog hair, met a really salesman not the owner. He was knowledgeable on all the products and extremely friendly. I bought the attachment for 30 bucks, he said he would refund me if it doesn't workout. Well, it did part of the job but not all of it. I don't think it was strong enough to get on the hidden hair under my sofa's. I came back a few days later, like today. He honored the refund without any questions and we chit chat for a while. DO NOT BRING YOUR VACUUM FOR REPAIR HERE!! My vacuum was broken right before Christmas and I needed it repaired immediately before my party. Out of all the places, this was the most convenient repair location between Costa Mesa (work) and Chino (home). Prior to this store I spoke with the Miele company about how my new vacuum had stopped sucking. He suspected that it was a clogging issue and was going to walk me through on how to unclog it. I couldn't understand him but because my vacuum's foot pedal was stuck in a laid down position so he advised me to ask the repair store to show me where to take off the back cover to clean it. I tried to call this store to confirm its hours of operation given Christmas week and all but got a "fax" sound. So, I called another store in Irvine and asked them if this store was open. The owner told me that the phone at the Anaheim store is a bit weird and if I couldn't reach them then I was welcome to bring it in to Irvine. I told him the problem with my vacuum and he was more than happy to show me how to unclog it and he was also open to see me at 530 AM (store opens at 8 AM). But, Irvine was a tad inconvenient for me. And, I proceeded on dropping it at the Anaheim store. So, after 2 days the Anaheim guy called me about his final evaluation of the vacuum. The suction problem was due to clogging. He told me what he found in there. He said that he could unclog it for $39. And, tuned it up for a total of $89. I asked him if this is something I could do myself and he told me that on some level I could but the clogging may be too complex and requiring me to dismantle the vacuum which would void out the warranty. I told him I am a bit confused... Miele doesn't cover warranty on clogging but I cannot unclog it myself because it would void out the warranty? That's a bit contradictory, no? He told me that he could unclog it for $29. I was uneasy with his "negotiation" price so I responded that I prefer he'd show me where to unclog and I will do it myself because I'd rather not pay $29 every time it clogs up. He said that he'll show me but it is inadvisable because it needs some tuning. He said that he also needs to order a part for it. Hmm... ok. So I said, "Miele tech support was going to walk me through about the clogging issue over the phone but because of the pedal issue he advised me to ask the repair shop to show it to me. I called the All Vacuum Depot in Irvine about the same thing and he was more than willing to do that. So, I don't understand why you're charging me $29 for this?????" And, he quickly responded that he'll show me where it is and that I can pick it up that very minute. (And what happened to the part you needed to order?) I asked him if the pedal was fixed and he confirmed. I asked him what was wrong with it and he said he had to order a part for it but it is fixed so I came to pick it up. At the store I asked him about the pedal issue again and he told me that something was jammed on the side of the pedal and he wasn't sure what it was. He said it might have something to do with the clogging. I was suspicious with the inconsistencies in his story but I let it go because the pedal seemed to work fine.... until I got home. I found out that the pedal was stuck because the cover adjoining the bottom and top part of the vacuum had an under-bite. It was supposed to be an overbite. I took off the cover as it has no other functionality and it works fine. I found out that resolving the clogging issue was simply to clean everything up and changing the bag (as advised in their troubleshooting guide). And, it works like new again. It took me a good 30 minutes to figure both problems out. All of this required a back and forth argument that All Vacuum Depot in Anaheim was going to charge me for $89 with some bogus tuning up. Again.... DO NOT BRING YOUR VACUUM HERE!!! read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. These guys are not honest. I traded in my old Orek for a new Orek Elevate last year. I even took it to them for the one year service. As soon as I got it home I noticed they did not tighten a piece I asked them to. Frustrated and living too far away to just go back, I called the Orek retailer in Huntington Beach. Now this store in HB showed me how dirty the unit was......there was even paper stuck up in the roller brush! Vacuum Depot didn't service it at all. They replaced the bag and that was it. I also found out they sold me a refurbished vacuum! So dishonest. The handle on the one they sold me was not even the correct one for that unit, that is why it was lose and never securely on the unit. All that said, these guys at Vacuum Depot ripped me off.....they over charged me and sold me a refurbished vacuum acting like it was new. I will never go here again, ever. read more

I stopped by this store by chance one day as I needed a belt for my vacuum cleaner. I interrupted the gentleman's lunch but he was unphased by it. He is very knowledgeable about the products and knew exactly what I needed for my old vacuum cleaner. He even gave me some tricks to make the install easier. The place is really clean and you can buy new vacuums and accessories there too. They actually had the part I needed IN STOCK! They fixed my vacuum and now it sucks! (Ha Ha, I couldn't help it) Anyway, the guy that worked there offered to carry the vacuum to my car, which I really appreicated as I had my 7 week old daughter with me. So I wouldn't normally write a review about a vacuum repair shop but had such a great first experience here that I felt compelled to. I had snapped a belt on my vacuum and it wasn't working and the place I normally go to is way across town. Found this place on yelp and quite frankly figured that based on the location it would be a lot more expensive than where I had been going. The guy helping me was so nice and helpful and ended up only charging me for the cost of the belt which was $5 even though he installed it and cleaned my vacuum for me. Excellent Service at a Fair Price I bought a $400 Dyson vacuum about 7 years ago. I haven't been very happy with it, as the suction didn't seem to be as strong as it should be. I think I was fooled by the fancy commercials. :) I took it to a shop in Yorba Linda about a year ago, got a "tune-up" and it seemed to work a little better, but I wasn't thrilled with its overall performance. As I stumbled across All Vacuum Depot in Anaheim Hills, I thought it would be good to get a second opinion on my vacuum, and on the current suction power. I met Jason and he offered to give me a free estimate, so I brought my vacuum back to him. In short, he called me in one day and advised me of his prognosis. It needed some bearings and a tune up, so I agreed to have him service it. When I got it back, it was working like new again, and the suction was quite strong.
