DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS!! I came to drop off my vacuum to get fixed and was told that the brush motor burnt out. The owner offered to sell me a used Dyson vacuum that was similar to mine for an an additional $150 and would give me credit for my vacuum he couldn't fix. I agreed and took the vacuum home. He sold me a broken vacuum! I went to return it and asked him to sell me a new vacuum for the $150 I paid and reminded him of the $89 credit he gave me and he had the audacity to ask me for an additional $20. At Walmart, the new vacuum he offered me retails at $159. I asked for my money back and he told me he would lose business if he did that. I will never come here again!!! Well, I'm sitting here in my car at 11 am waiting for this shop to open. The time on the door says it opens at 10:30 am. I called the number on the door and there was no response. I would assume this person has lost of a lot of business due to his lack of professionalism. It's so frustrating when business owner's post hours and then don't honor them. Called Bissell to have my vacuum fixed under warranty and they have told me to take my vacuum to this shop to have it fixed without a cost. A month later I still haven't received a call from the owner. I called about two weeks ago to check on the status of the repair and he said he is waiting for the parts. It's has been little over a month and he is still waiting on the parts? This is terrible ... I am going to report to bissell that this shop is not to be trusted. read more

This is a great place to get your vacuum cleaner fixed or purchase of vacuum cleaner used. They also fix sewing machines. I was missing a powerhead from an older vacuum that I really love and he came up with one for cheap. Good honest guy. I will be back. AVOID AVOID AVOID. I'd give zero stars if yelp would let me. I ONLY went to this location because I have a Bissell vacuum that was dying after 4 months of minimal use. On the Bissell website this location is one their listed places. So I went and the guy at the front was somewhat helpful. There's vacuums everywhere and dust to go with it! Hah! So the guy examines my portable vacuum and diagnosis the issue fairly quickly. He explains that it'll take a few weeks and he took all my information down (he kept the defective part and my charger for the part) and says "I will call you when the part is here." Keep in mind this is early OCTOBER. A few weeks pass by and it's NOVEMBER. No call. So I call and barely mention my vacuum and the same guy cuts me off and goes "yea yea yea it's here. It's ready. Come pick it up" So a day later I make my way over and he gives me the piece and asks me to wait for the charger since he remembered he kept it. Literally searches his messy area for over 20 minutes and finally tells me "someone must have taken it" So he tells me he'll order the charger and that he will again, call. No call. No charger. No working vacuum. Luckily a friend of the family gave me their vacuum to keep. I'm annoyed by his lack of customer service. And the best part? This is an update of my review. I took the Bissell Carpet Cleaning machine to SoCal Janitorial Supplies, a Bissell authorized repair shop. They were able to repair the issue within minutes. It was a pinched hose under the main access plate. Cost: $30 read more

Small cluttered shop. Like a tinkerers workshop, lots of projects going on. I brought my almost two year old Bissell in because it was not performing right. The owner quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced two parts for a total of $29. Other shops quoted me $50 to fix. Now she works great again. He was very knowledgable. At the recommendation of ElectroLux I went to this shop. After having one of those really Bad Days (fortunately I only have one about once a year), I was greeted by the owner. He went through some mindless EctroLux warranty script which was about the very last thing I wanted to hear. All I wanted was to get my vacuum fixed. Luckily for me he keep his patience, acted like a complete gentleman, quickly resolved my problem and all at NO CHARGE! I offered, twice, to give him some money, but he graciously refused. I recently purchased an item and five days later the item broke! Manufacturer defect! The store would not take the item back, but did offer to service the item under the Bissel warranty. I think not! I totally agree with the review that says AVOID AVOID AVOID! I would never recommend this place to anyone! I had an encounter with Sam not sure if he's the owner however he was so rude actually raised his voice while talking to me because he was upset that Bissell offered to send me a new steamer brush at no cost. He wanted to sell me the brush for $25+ because he claimed that he was the one that found out the brush needed to be replaced. I ended up getting the $14 brush for free from bissell and will replace it myself. This guy need some customer service training in how to respectfully talk to his customers. read more

Orange Appliance approached me via text about doing some duct work but at the very same time, our washing machine broke so we agreed that they would come the next day between 1 and 4 p.m. That was today. At 4:30 I called them only to find that the appointment had never been scheduled. I was told there was only one Maytag repair person and he doesn't work on weekends. Well, then the appointment should never have been scheduled. We waited 4 1/2 hours for nothing. With so many appliance repair places around to choose from, you'd think that Orange Appliance would try to go the extra mile to ensure good customer service. Less than a year ago, I went here and asked about his "free diagnosis". He said that I should bring in my vacuum and he would take a look at, tell me what was wrong, and then give me a price. He was going to call me, if it was going to cost anything. He was only going to look at it! He said that he would be willing to have me pick it back up in about a week. I did not get a call, so when I went back in, he gave me back my vacuum, told me that it costed me $_____. (Sorry, I can't remember, but not the point). When I asked him why, he told me that I looked like I was needing it fixed really soon, because I might be having company come over soon. (It was close to Thanksgiving.) I was outraged! He was supposed to look at it! That's it! The "free diagnosis" was a scam! My husband and I were not expecting this, nor did we really have the money for it, but we needed to have our vacuum back (and not because of company either!). Very mad, sad, and frustrated! First of all. I only buy from people I can connect and feel comfortable with. I love shopping this place. At first impression it seems cluttered, kinda like a vacuum museum. But it is way more. This is a one- man store, and this guy knows his business. Fair pricing, expert, quality service and complete satisfaction are the reasons I am a repeat customer. I have brought vacuums in for repair or trade, and was treated fairly. I have bought no less than two carpet cleaners and two vacuums. In each case he had the professional model I wanted at a fair price. If you like, he even assembles the units and chats anout important tips while you wait. He's very knowledgable and took the time and patience to explain the difference between all the models. You don't find this kind of service now a days. I took my canister vacuum cleaner in to this shop sometime last fall. He siad he would check it out and get back to me. I never heard from him so after a week or more I dropped by the shop (full to the gills with vacuums so that there is only a small path to the counter in the back). He had to search to find my vacuum and he "hadn't had a chance to look at it yet." He said he was very busy and had a daughter that was getting married or something. Anyway, he said he would get right to it and finally called to say it would be close to $95 to repair and the parts that it needed. I came back a week or so later to pick it up and it had a really cheap hose and a different "used" control. He said a new one would have been too expensive so whatever. I paid him and now it's not working again. It shorts out and the beater head doesn't work. I will not be taking it back there. Maybe he knows what he's doing but I have no idea how he keeps track of his work orders, parts and clients' vacuums. read more
