He then very quickly got back to us with exact quotes for each of the two possible solutions, and advised of a multi-week back order for the main part. His financial arrangements are very straightforward and represent good value. In the end we decided to go with a new washer, but Alan really impressed us and we will have him as first choice for any other appliance issues we may face.

Had a service call with Quality Appliance Repair for my washing machine and paid $145. Technician…read morelooked at it, cleaned the filter and said it was fixed....all within 15 minutes. I was doubtful so I started a new cycle on the washing machine to see if it worked and the machine stopped after a few minutes. Then he said it would take 7-8 hours and $1600 to repair. He told me to buy a new washer. Next day, I called a different appliance company to come assess. That company fixed the washer by replacing a part and total charge was $350. It took him less than 2 hours to repair, clean and tune up the washing machine. I reached out to the owner of Quality Appliance Repair company to let him know what happened and received a snarky reply. He said if I like someone else's advice better than his company's advice, go for and then said "No one works for free". I don't expect anyone to work for free but I do expect accurate and trustworthy service. I asked for a refund and he refused. Save your money and stay far away from this company.
