First of all I would like to say what great customer service I received when I brought my Eureka vacuum to The Vacuum Store. Fred greeted us when we walked into the store and was very helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and actually cleaned out my container as it was my sisters vacuum and I had problems trying to figure out how to empty out the canister and put it back in. I had broken a piece of plastic that held the hose to the vacuum cleaner and thought I may have to get a new hose. Fred not only found out that the part could be replaced and it was a $5.00 part but had it already repaired by the next day. I normally don't write reviews but I was so impressed by The Vacuum Store on Northlake as I too had gone to Clean Sweep on US 1 that morning and I was so upset with the service that I went back the same day and picked up my hose and brought it to Fred at The Vacuum Store on Northlake. The guy at Clean Sweep wanted to charge me just to show me how to put the cannister properly in the vcuum cleaner and told me I probably needed a new hose. Terrible customer service and the guy didn't know anything at The Clean Sweep. Don't waste your time at that store. read more

Terrible experience. Avoid at all cost! I had the misfortune of taking my vacuum recently, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The so-called "customer service" was nonexistent, with the owner displaying rude and unprofessional behavior throughout my interaction. Initially, I brought in my vacuum to fix a simple trigger issue. However, not only did they fail to address the original problem, but they also managed to break another part in the process. Despite having to return for a second attempt at fixing the issue, the problem persisted just four months later. To make matters worse, when I brought it back again, the owner didn't even bother to inspect the vacuum before declaring it irreparable and demanding an exorbitant $185 for their incompetence. Not only was their lack of accountability appalling, but their disrespectful attitude and vulgar language crossed all boundaries of professionalism. It's clear that he prioritizes profit over providing quality service and treating customers with respect. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs. read more

Fantastic experience! What a pleasure it was to do business with Fred! After having an incredibly disappointing experience at a competitor down the street, I was hesitant to give the Vacuum Store a try. I am so thrilled that I did! Fred is professional, kind & honest with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to vacuum cleaners. He looked over my vacuum on the spot to assess what the problem might be. He then made a phone call to the manufacturer to see I could replace the broken "piece" that was, unfortunately attached to a much bigger component that was still in great condition. After finding that the small piece could not be purchased separately, he sought out a different solution. He looked through his parts in his backroom and made a makeshift piece for me. The vaccuum has been working like a charm for the past 4 months! It was fixed efficiently within a 24 hr. period and he charged me less than $20. This man is an honest vacuum genius!! read more

After having a very bad experience at another sewing repair shop in Stuart where i was told its $89.99 to service the machine and 2 days later they phoned and said it would be an additional $40 for parts. The machine is just over a year old i told them it was to much and said I would pick it up....I was then told its $30 to take it but I can use the money in their shop.. really bad experience Anyways this happened on a Saturday about 1;45 pm . i sat in my car and googled the vacuum store and spoke to Fred and told him my story and he said he closes at 3pm but would be happy to look at it at no charge. Went there to buy vacuum bags and as I was buying the bags a female customer named Rona walked in and tried to get a refund for a vacuum attachment she had. I don't know the details of her purchase but she began to curse the store owner telling him to f.... Off. I couldn't believe the mouth on this female as she continued to curse the owner when she didn't get her way. She told him she intended to give him a bad report on Yelp. Well I was there to witnesses this business interaction and can honestly say the store owner named Fred kept his cool about the whole ordeal. I would rate The Vacuum Store 6 stars, if I could! Been there twice, and each time owner Fred provided excellent customer service. He is knowledgeable & courteous, and provides honest, high-quality, fast, affordable service. He is also a wizard at problem-solving. I had a complex and mysterious problem with my vacuum cleaner. Fred could have kept it for a week or two and just ordered a large expensive replacement part. Instead, he figured out how to fix the problem using tools & parts on-hand and repaired it OVERNIGHT! Fred was extremely helpful during my first visit to the store. I had two vacuums that I was planning to have him work on. One was a used vacuum I had just purchased and I believed the roller was not working. Fred was able to point out a feature on the machine I was not familiar with and solve my dilemma. Took my Dyson to Fred at The Vacuum Store and was so pleased with the courteous, honest, and knowledgeable service. We found that the piece I needed was no longer made. The rubber washer had come off the big ball and using it was like driving a Mac Truck. He found a substitute piece which was better, because there was no washer to come off. Today was my second time at The Vacuum Store. First was for repair of a built in vacuum system which needed a new motor and was repaired in a few days and at a normal price. Today's visit was to buy filter bags for that same vacuum. What I bought was better quality and easier to install than the factory originals, again price was competitive with online comparisons that I had made. A real rip-off. My Dyson stick vacuum did not need anything but clipping it back together. He lied and said a clip was missing when nothing was missing. He charged me $33.33 for a 2 second click assembly. Assembling something is not my strong suit and that is why i brought it in.
