ZERO STARS!!!!!…read more STAY AWAY FROM LOWE'S! My wife and I are retired seniors and had a horrible experience about two years ago with a refrigerator that didn't work once it was delivered. We called them immediately afterwards and the Lowe's associate told us to "let it set overnight." The next morning is was at room temperature & went to the store to inform them to pick it up & receive a full refund. We were informed that it had be returned within six hours, so we had to 'eat it' despite going over their heads. We put it out in the trash later that month. After 18 months we decided to give them another chance & went to purchase a electric range that plugged into the wall with no installation required. We gave the associate the dimensions, and then he said that we would have to spend an extra fee to have installed & to call them in the event there were any questions (?). Two days later, they arrived with the stove and upon seeing what we had in our home and without unpacking the item, both said "they sold you the wrong item," to which we said "put it back on the truck & take it back." The next day we asked for a refund & Lowe's gave us a 'song & dance' saying that we'll receive a partial refund! (?). I asked the associate at customer service for the phone, and told whoever was on the phone "please refund our money," and we were informed that we would indeed get a full refund. Here is the text of the letter ftom Lowe's/Synchrony Bank: We resolved your dispute claim in the amount of $2319.62 on 01/22/2026. A credit of $2319.62 has been applied to your account. What's next? Please allow 3 business days from the resolution date for the amount to be credited to your account. You can expect a letter with additional details soon. We appreciate your business and hope you continue to enjoy your MyLowe's® Rewards Credit Card. A week later, we received another letter informing us that we were still liable to pay $1,362!!! They can f--k off! We then cut up our Lowe's cards and we were exhausted having to go through especially since my wife and are undergoing radiation & chemotherapy. Save yourself the aggravation and stay away from LOWE'S!! GO TO HOME DEPOT!

If you're flexible on make/model/features, you might just find a bargain at Lowe's outlet. If…read moreyou're looking for something specific then you'll likely be disappointed. Lowe's stocks a bit of a hodgepodge of what you'll find in the store. Definitely appliance heavy, especially refrigerators, but you may also find power tools, buckets and laundry detergent. Be a smart shopper and be prepared to look up every item you may be interested in. Don't think everything is a bargain - one range that I was looking at was the same price as in the store. The appliances have a 3 day warranty. Everything else in the store is final sale. Bring a box opener with you - there are boxes and boxes of items on steel shelving units but what's in those boxes can be a crapshoot - many weren't marked. You're welcome to open the shipping boxes to discover its contents. Again, compare prices and don't forget to look at the reviews. I had picked out a ceiling fan but once I read its reviews, I promptly put it back on the shelf. The Lowe's Outlet is definitely worth visiting. Just remember that not everything you see is actually a bargain.

I know I should sound more grateful but.... I have an XM…read moreRadio in my car. I often drive with my 'thinks he's a lap dog' 80lb Labrador, Jack. Jack gets a little excited when he gets to go for a car ride... Weeks ago while getting in the car, he brushed up against the XM radio and cracked the base that holds it to the dash. I've been able to get it back on the mount. It's not perfect, but if you didn't know it was broken, you couldn't tell it was broken, unless I told you. At lunch today I ran by this Best Buy to see about finding a replacement bracket to hold it firmly against the dash. I walked into the store, showed the man at the door I was coming in with my XM radio, and he pointed me to the audio department of BestBuys. I walked past 4 blue shirts who were too busy laughing and talking with each other than they were taking care of their customers. I got back to Automotive Audio and waited.... and waited.... and waited... a total of 12 minutes. I didn't see one blue shirt anywhere in the store - certainly none by me. I went out hunting for one - good thing I didn't have my gun, - I'da bagged one! And I found a guy who's 1st language is NOT English... When he finally understood I needed help in Automotive, he got on his two way radio and a minute or two later, here comes a blue shirt! I told her what she needed and she immediately acted like she had no idea where to look. She frantically found another employee - this one a Geek Squad member, who quickly told me he'd be back in a minute or two. Sure enough, 2 minutes later he brought me a replacement bracket and shook my hand as I thanked him for his efforts. I wasn't charged a dime for this part - that fits perfectly and will hopefully not break again, JACK!.... I was disappointed that there were such limited blue shirts inside the store. Especially seeing as its the holiday season and sales are expected to be up?.... hard to do without help. Thanks again for the bracket - I am appreciative.

The automated phone system is at best a complete waste of time. In a chain store such as Best Buy…read moreto not have a dedicated operator to receive and transfer calls is just ludicrous. I understand that in person customers take precedence but to have over a 10 minute hold time before I chose to hang-up is adding up to lost sales. I would urge store managers to push for additional employees that can run a multiple line set up similar to a dispatchers system. I want to also make a point, this is the type of actions that cost sales, and have customers turning to online purchases. Online sales does effect the ability for brick and mortar businesses to remain open.

I was looking for a replacement ice maker for my freezer and I struck out big-time with Lowes…read more After contacting Lowes they "guaranteed" me that they had the correct replacement ice maker. So I bought a replacement ice maker from Lowes and went to install it, but the ice maker was the wrong model. So I began looking on-line and discovered A-1 Appliance Parts in Huntsville. A-1 is a satellite location from the main A-1 Huntsville office and the satellite location is adjacent from the Space & Rocket Center...easy to find...look for the Saturn V rocket. A-1 is located is a small strip mall on Old Madison Pike, nothing fancy, just a typical appliance parts business. I stopped by at lunch and the gentleman behind the counter took my model number and searched the parts database to identify the correct ice maker model number. After checking his stock he went and retrieved the unit from shelf. He allowed me to open the box to check the connector plug to validate that it was the correct unit...yes it was. I joked with him about half-price Tuesdays and he said he would give me a price break...which he did. He then resealed the box to ensure I didn't lose any parts on the way home. So far, so good! Got home and installed the replacement ice maker with no problems. I had a great experience with A-1 Appliance Parts and recommend them if you need appliance parts.

I was told that is the cost of the part but the tech neglected to mention the mark up (I assume the company is to blame for this). I called the company and they said someone from the parts department would call me but they never did. The tech said it would take 20 mins to go get the part but took 1 hr and 5 mins, so rolling up the charges. 20 mins to diagnose and 30 mins to replace the part. The tech was very good at explaining the repair. The repair receipt is not itemized and part was marked up, so I can only conclude this is VERY disingenuous and will not use the company again. Total repair price was $484.07. Buyer beware!!! Response: You made one call, I returned the call and left a message. No one has called me since. Again, erroneous information to appear to mitigate the issues.

We would have preferred more transparency in their billiing, as I believe the GE factory-auth part was about $40, and our total bill was $422.15 (Inv #9643954, Task #11442000). We're aware of exactly how long the tech worked at our home, and I requested (by email to contact@mrabmh.com) a breakdown on the cost of the part, plus itemization of labor, as $422.15 seemed excessive to us. No big deal, we just like to know a breakdown of our charges. Of course, our request was ignored.
