I purchased a stove, dishwasher, pebble ice machine, microwave and refrigerator from here in October 2024. In March 2025 my brand new Kitchenaid fridge stopped working. They replaced it with a different model and did not include the pull out drawer. (Arrived home from work to a fridge dropped off- I didn't accept it this way!) It is currently March 2025 and I still have not received the pullout drawer missing from the model of fridge I did not select. I have been to the store 7 times and been told they are working on this, however this last time was told there's nothing they can do. If I purchased this from any other seller it would have been felt with already. It is still not correct and I still have a fridge with a missing drawer! NEVER BUT FROM THIS PLACE! Our Speed Queen dryer we purchased 4 years ago at Bob Wallace Appliance needed an internal light bulb replacement. We used the dryer without an internal light due four months. We then had a problem with the dryer not heating up to dry clothes. Hubs called Bob Wallace Appliance to schedule repairs. A repairman showed up a week later to check out the dryer. This was great. Two years ago we had a problem with the motherboard and due to COVID we waited 3.5 weeks before a repairman was able to check out our dryer. Then we waited 1.5 weeks for parts and a return visit. A week wait is great!!! The repairman checked out our dryer and said the heating element went out. We have an extended warranty and the replacement heating element was paid for. The repairman said light bulbs are not covered under the extended warranty. We went to the store on Bob Wallace with our burnt out interior light bill to buy one. Bob Wallace Appliance did not have the same light bulb in stock. They had a bulb that was larger that cost $33 with a no refund policy if the bill didn't fit our dryer. I told hubs we are not buying a bulb that isn't the same one or same comparable size that is non refundable. We were told the internal bulb for our dryer is not covered by our warranty. No manufacturer's cover bulbs on warranties. When we arrived home, I asked my husband to call Speed Queen headquarters and ask for the parts department. He asked if they had the model number of our burnt bulb so he could purchase one. To our happiness we were told the internal light bulb is covered under our warranty. The Speed Queen representative told us to challenge any decision from a store that "something" isn't covered under their warranty umbrella. We recommend everyone take the extra step to ask questions. If we listened to the four people in the store, we wouldn't have a light bulb. read more

My fiancé and I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher from Bob Wallace Appliance. We were greeted promptly, had our questions answered, and were able to choose an amazing dishwasher. Delivery was easy and went off without a hitch. A few months after the purchase, one of our plastic spatulas flew off the third shelf during a cycle and melted to the heating element. We called Bob Wallace, spoke to Christine in Repairs, and she assured us it was under warranty and sent someone out within 48 hours to fix it. This has been such a great experience that I had to share, and we definitely will recommend Bob Wallace Appliance to our friends and family. read more

I recently bought a new home and all the appliances were provided by Bob Wallace. In the beginning I thought things were going well, the process to buy my refrigerator was very easy, they delivered on time, set it up, all good. Then we discover the microwave that was installed in our home wasn't working. Mind you this was right before Christmas. I called them and at first I thought this would be easy. I was wrong. It took them several weeks to get a service technician out to see what was wrong with the microwave, although my husband and I told them it was the magnometer. The guy was nice and said the parts should be in within a week. A month later, now this is 2 months without a microwave... the parts were not in. I called several times and on one occasional a female answered and was incredibly rude. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name. I would've loved to report her. Anyways, after 2 months, they finally came and repaired the "brand new" microwave on Feb 8th. It works yay. I just hope I don't have to deal with the service side of the house ever again. read more

We purchased a Maytag washer & dryer, and the sales experience was very pleasant. We loved the cutting edge features in our home, such as steam to help clean our clothes. One of the reasons we bought this washer was because of the soap dispenser. We noticed it wasn't working properly, because it was filling with water. We called for service, and the technician came and showed how the concentration of our soap matters. We switched to a different brand with better concentration, and it fixed the problem. A few months later, on September 21st, 2020, the washer suddenly wouldn't drain during the wash cycle and would give and "Lo FL" error. We called, but they couldn't come service it for several weeks. We explained the problem in detail, and they knew which part we needed. The technician arrived, ran a cycle and then said it needed a new valve, which he didn't have, for some reason, even though we called about that part weeks before. He ordered the part. Weeks later, the part comes in, so we schedule another appointment, which is not until several weeks later. The technician installs the part, runs a diagnostic and then leaves. The same problem happens. We call, and the entire process starts all over again. When the technician comes, he comes with the exact same part and says he will run a diagnostic. I suggest the diagnostic will not provide anything useful and insist we run a regular wash cycle instead. I was right. The wash cycle failed, and when he later ran the diagnostic, it reported nothing wrong, even though we he opened the door, there was standing water still in the washer. He said the main control board was faulty. Had I not insisted he run a wash cycle, we would have been back to square one. Two months and 24 days have now passed since we have had a working washer, and every time I call the service department at Bob Wallace to see if the part arrived and if we can schedule an appointment, nobody answers. I keep leaving voicemail, but nobody ever returns my calls. read more

This is the worst customer service company I have ever seen. I placed a large order for luxury appliances in December 2020. They came in and they sold them to someone else to make a quick dollar and now when my home construction needs them I don't have them. Worst of all they called me to pay my balance in full and they don't even know where my appliances are. They will not call you back, give you any information. The manager, Tim, tells you he will follow up, but he never does. Tim committed to me in July I would have my thermador package by thanksgiving. They called me on 2/26 and told me they have no idea when they will get my ovens. My build was held hostage and they have no answers. Luckily alabama appliance saved the day and delivered the very exact appliances within a week that Tim said could not be purchased anywhere. Bob Wallace, Tim and Rob are a joke. Stay away. I recently purchased a new front loading washing machine from Bob Wallace Appliance. The installers were asked to level the washer (routine in any washer installation), and to replace the pre-purchased shock absorbers. They did neither. Consequently, every load of clothing washed caused the machine to shimmy and "travel" around the laundry room floor. It literally sounded as if the washer would fly apart! I attempted several times to contact the installers through Bob Wallace Appliance Store, leaving messages on the answering machine, and being told by the receptionist that she would personally pass along my message to the installation team. After receiving no response for three days, and with dirty laundry building up to my ears, I was forced to hire an independent installer who came the same day to do the job correctly. I cannot express how disappointed I am to have spent several thousand dollars on a new washer and dryer at Bob Wallace Appliance only to experience a totally incompetent install that left me without a usable washer for days. Need I mention that I also had to pay twice in order to get a proper install job? I have been a faithful customer for over twenty years, purchasing virtually every appliance from Bob Wallace Appliance. I finally junked the gas stove (appx $2500) because they told me they did not service propane gas stoves any longer. Offered me some numbers to call to find my own repairman. I've been waiting on a part for my refrigerator (another appx $2500 wasted) over 6 mos. The leaking ruined my floor (add damage to wasted money on purchase price of appliance). It was also a known problem w this unit and even though the part that fixed it was available after the first service call .... BWA didn't bother to let customers w this appliance know there was now a permanent fix. I thought by purchasing from a locally owned business I would get better customer service. Forget abt that. I just ordered my new fridge from Wayfair. Would love to dump this pile of stainless steel junk in their front door with a sign that says "we DON'T service what we sell." read more

This has been an absolute nightmare. Our dishwasher, which was under warranty, started leaking, causing warping of our beautiful wood floors. A repairman came out and found no leak. Then it happened again. A repairman came out and said there was no leak, but at the very last minute checked something and found the leak. He ordered a part and it took over three weeks to get in. Upon installation, less than two weeks later it started leaking AGAIN. This time we asked for a replacement, but they wouldn't due to the fact GE would not allow it until another part is ordered. So they ordered a bunch of parts again and three weeks later installed them and now we have gushing water that came out on our beautiful wood floors AGAIN. Now they are ordering a dishwasher, but we have been begging them to come take out the current one as it continues to leak. We have gone through several towels a day, we have filled up bowls, yet my calls remain unanswered. I will physically (again) go to Bob Wallace to demand someone come out and take out the dishwasher. I cannot believe what's happened to our kitchen island and wood floors, where paint has come off, there is still water under the island, and our wood floors are warped. I am not upset about the faulty dishwasher. I am upset at the lack of response in getting the faulty dishwasher out of our house so it stops leaking. I expect when one has a bad leak that a repairman will be sent out to resolve the issue. I'm still waiting! read more

Assumes no responsibility- Poor Service!! I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding Bob Wallace Appliances located on 3005 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL. I arranged for them to service my Jenn-Aire Cooktop on 26 March 2021. The service technician was attempting to raise the top, but he broke it because he did not have all of the screws removed. I now have a stove cooktop that is unusable and poses a safety hazard! The technician apologized and called his service manager Joyce and they said they would rectify the problem and replace the cooktop. Joyce, said she was checking with Jenn Aire to determine if they still made that specific cooktop and would contact me as soon as she received information form the manufacturer. I did a 10 minute google search and determined the part was no longer carried. Nevertheless, I decided to allow the process to work as they originally detailed and waited for their phone call. After waiting a week she called and provided me with the info I previously uncovered in my internet search. The specific model was no longer made so she stated the correct person to address this issue was Steve Farrow. After leaving several messages I finally was able to contact Steve last week. Please take into account that their technician broke my operational stovetop rendering it unusable and not safe to operate but I am the one initiating the contact and making multiple calls. They are showing little to no effort to resolve the problem. After speaking with Steve he provided compatible models to replace the one damaged. However, with the comparable one he stated I would owe them $899 plus tax. They were going to graciously waive the service call (their technician broke the appliance) and install the new unit for free (would not have needed installation if technician did not break the device). The insinuation that I would have to pay for a service call that negligently rendered my stovetop unusable is comical and frankly insulting. Additionally, Steve stated there is no guarantee on when the cooktop would arrive, and they were not willing to use any of the in-stock items because they were designated for ongoing construction. When I rejected the offer, Steve stated he was doing me a favor because my unit was old and that this was a take it or leave it offer. He was also going on vacation for two weeks so I should take this offer now. In summary, Bob Wallace is assuming no culpability for their technician' s lack of knowledge that led to the damage. They are attempting to pass the total cost to me to include an indefinite wait time. Steve stated that the owner would call to further discuss. Subsequently, I called the store on three separate occasions to explain the issue and notify them I was waiting on the owner to return my call. There has been no response! It is now 6 April 2021 and I have not been able to use my cooktop since 29 March to include my long-awaited Easter family gathering (postponed all previous family events because of Covid-19 concerns). I had a large gathering with no ability to use my cooktop. Thanks, Bob Wallace Appliance for ruining this holiday!!! I have no stove and it is becoming more apparent that they have no intentions on contacting me to resolve the issue. Still waiting on the owner to contact me to discuss! On July 8, 2021 my wife and I ordered a new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchen microwave from Bob Wallace. We were told it would be several weeks before these items arrived, but that was fine in that we were remodeling our kitchen. The stove, microwave, and dishwasher did arrive and were installed and have worked well. I checked on the refrigerator and was told I was next on the list. We waited for some time and I called again. I was only wanting information and not angry in the least. On one of my calls I mentioned to the lady to whom I was talking and told her I had spent a lot of money on this order and I was just concerned. She then said: "We have customers that spend much more than you have." That did anger me. The company seemingly did not want to communicate with me about the refrigerator. While they answered a few of my calls, as time passed and I made several more calls, left a message, and no one returned my call. Then about two months ago we were in Lowes and noticed they had on display the exact model we had ordered. We asked about it and they said they had on in stock and could deliver it the next day. I bought it. I have not canceled the order with Bob Wallace in that I knew they would not deliver it until we paid for it. I just wondered if they would call. They still haven't and it has now been over a year. This has nothing to do with the pandemic. It only has to do with poor service. Dryer vent hose was not secured properly on dryer exhaust using clamp. Difficult getting clamp secured on exhaust coming out of dryer, so installer left clamp only two thirds on exhaust. Finally came off. Terrible amount of time to wait for service (can't come out until May 2) for something they blew off when installing dryer. Not something a handicap person can do. read more

I have done business with Bob Wallace for over 25 years. I just completed a kitchen upgrade on my current home. The sales person ( Tim Ryberg) either doesn't know his products or lied to me. I had a double oven reserved at Siano that had convection In both ovens. I ask specifically if the comparable one he was offering had that same feature and I was assured that it did. When it was delivered only the top was convection. Very disappointing since I paid a good bit more for an oven with less features. I had also worked appliances well in advance of the need date. When it was time to install the downdraft it was not available but the blower was (at least that's what I was told). When the downdraft came in, the blower was suddenly not in stock! It also took 2 months to get a refrigerator that i could have picked up at Many other stores on the same day. They have always been a good business, but I would stay away from Tim as your sales person. I worked with Greg Medley at Siano and he is now at Bob Wallance, I would highly recommend him. Also, their installation guys were outstanding. I would rate Bob Wallace a 5, but Tim Ryberg a 1! read more

I will NEVER recommend or buy from Bob Wallace again. Had all new appliances put in in January. Double wall ovens included. We ran the self cleaning cycle on the top oven only and have been in a nightmare repair ever since. Waited week's for an appointment after telling service what the problem was. Waited another month for parts only to have BWA cancel our appointment and tried to tell me would have to wait another month for an appointment. Yelled loud enough and two technicians came out the next day. Problem was the oven light comes on by itself, didn't order the replacement part. Only replaced two of three control boards. Oven has to be turned off at the breaker because they're heating by themselves. Yes. Heating. Now they're telling us it might be a grounding issue. The ovens have been put in and pulled out twice and NO ONE saw a missing ground wire? Time to call BBB. I'm so done with dealing with them. Three months and two major holidays without working ovens. That customer witnessed unprofessional behavior by the Store Manager (yelling at employees, raging). I have heard rumors that the store manager has anger problems from a neighbor, and from what I witnessed, and what that other reviewer witnessed, I have to agree. My husband and I just moved to the area and knew that the purchase of our new home included all of the appliances except a fridge. So, during our cross country move to Huntsville, we went to YouTube to scout discount furniture stores in the area. We came across Bob Wallace Appliance. We were a little apprehensive because they just seemed a little bit too good to be true. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we actually got to the store. We walked in, and there was no sales pressure (that was great). We took a few minutes to look around and when the sales rep noticed that we were ready, he came over and offered his service. Long story short, we purchased our fridge for almost $500 under budget and I didn't have to comprise what I wanted. A few weeks later my new fridge was making some sort of noise. I called and a repair person was out within a couple of days. My family is really pleased with the quality of the product and the professionalism that we received. read more

I purchased a top of the line refrigerator from SouthEast Aplliaces/ BobWallace via E-Bay back in March. The item supposedly left the store in perfect condition (who can tell though?) and arrived at my home D.O.A. The seller won't issue me a refund and is blaming the problem on the transportation company. The transportation company says that they have no way of knowing whether the item was D.O.A. or just plain dead so they won't issue me a refund either. In the meantime I am out of pocket $4,500.
