    We purchased a Maytag washer & dryer, and the sales experience was very pleasant. We loved the cutting edge features in our home, such as steam to help clean our clothes. One of the reasons we bought this washer was because of the soap dispenser. We noticed it wasn't working properly, because it was filling with water. We called for service, and the technician came and showed how the concentration of our soap matters. We switched to a different brand with better concentration, and it fixed the problem. A few months later, on September 21st, 2020, the washer suddenly wouldn't drain during the wash cycle and would give and "Lo FL" error. We called, but they couldn't come service it for several weeks. We explained the problem in detail, and they knew which part we needed. The technician arrived, ran a cycle and then said it needed a new valve, which he didn't have, for some reason, even though we called about that part weeks before. He ordered the part. Weeks later, the part comes in, so we schedule another appointment, which is not until several weeks later. The technician installs the part, runs a diagnostic and then leaves. The same problem happens. We call, and the entire process starts all over again. When the technician comes, he comes with the exact same part and says he will run a diagnostic. I suggest the diagnostic will not provide anything useful and insist we run a regular wash cycle instead. I was right. The wash cycle failed, and when he later ran the diagnostic, it reported nothing wrong, even though we he opened the door, there was standing water still in the washer. He said the main control board was faulty. Had I not insisted he run a wash cycle, we would have been back to square one. Two months and 24 days have now passed since we have had a working washer, and every time I call the service department at Bob Wallace to see if the part arrived and if we can schedule an appointment, nobody answers. I keep leaving voicemail, but nobody ever returns my calls.

    This has been an absolute nightmare. Our dishwasher, which was under warranty, started leaking, causing warping of our beautiful wood floors. A repairman came out and found no leak. Then it happened again. A repairman came out and said there was no leak, but at the very last minute checked something and found the leak. He ordered a part and it took over three weeks to get in. Upon installation, less than two weeks later it started leaking AGAIN. This time we asked for a replacement, but they wouldn't due to the fact GE would not allow it until another part is ordered. So they ordered a bunch of parts again and three weeks later installed them and now we have gushing water that came out on our beautiful wood floors AGAIN. Now they are ordering a dishwasher, but we have been begging them to come take out the current one as it continues to leak. We have gone through several towels a day, we have filled up bowls, yet my calls remain unanswered. I will physically (again) go to Bob Wallace to demand someone come out and take out the dishwasher. I cannot believe what's happened to our kitchen island and wood floors, where paint has come off, there is still water under the island, and our wood floors are warped. I am not upset about the faulty dishwasher. I am upset at the lack of response in getting the faulty dishwasher out of our house so it stops leaking. I expect when one has a bad leak that a repairman will be sent out to resolve the issue. I'm still waiting!

    I was looking for a replacement ice maker for my freezer and I struck out big-time with Lowes…read more After contacting Lowes they "guaranteed" me that they had the correct replacement ice maker. So I bought a replacement ice maker from Lowes and went to install it, but the ice maker was the wrong model. So I began looking on-line and discovered A-1 Appliance Parts in Huntsville. A-1 is a satellite location from the main A-1 Huntsville office and the satellite location is adjacent from the Space & Rocket Center...easy to find...look for the Saturn V rocket. A-1 is located is a small strip mall on Old Madison Pike, nothing fancy, just a typical appliance parts business. I stopped by at lunch and the gentleman behind the counter took my model number and searched the parts database to identify the correct ice maker model number. After checking his stock he went and retrieved the unit from shelf. He allowed me to open the box to check the connector plug to validate that it was the correct unit...yes it was. I joked with him about half-price Tuesdays and he said he would give me a price break...which he did. He then resealed the box to ensure I didn't lose any parts on the way home. So far, so good! Got home and installed the replacement ice maker with no problems. I had a great experience with A-1 Appliance Parts and recommend them if you need appliance parts.

    Mike is the store manager, I had a samsung dryer heating element go out and A1 had a part in stock…read moreand also referred me to someone to install that part. All told I was out about 150 dollars for something anther company wanted $560 dollars to replace. Thanks Mike and AI Appliance.
