Nice dentist and nice facility…read more The place is convenient to me as it's down the street from my house. The dentists and specialty surgeon was nice. But I don't think I would come back. The prices for their work is extremely expensive even with insurance. I was also told one thing prior to signing their payment agreement and then something g completely different after. I ended up with a $3K bill for two root canals with insurance. The only take private insurance so anyone expecting to use government insurance like Medi-cal will not be approved. But yes with my private insurance that is how much I am paying. I also did not like how when they put a temporary crown and I told the staff the next day that they didn't seal it and it just popped right off after the numbing wore off, they kind of dismissed my concerns and was just making it seem like it didn't matter since I was getting my permanent ones. Anyways my permanent crowns are in, I am still paying for them monthly almost $300/month. Are the permanent crowns good? Yes. Would I go back? No. Just too pricy for something I could've gotten done somewhere else for a quarter of the price.

However, when I entered their doors, the warm, friendly staff did a great job greeting and ensuring the intake process went smoothly. This was my second visit. Like my first visit, Carson Dental was helpful in all the right ways. The office is straightforward, clean, and efficient. Their new patient and intake forms are minimized, and paper forms are replaced by iPads. The Dental Assistant working with Dr. Abraham called me into his work area where the magic happens. I was impressed by Dr. Abraham: his professionalism, bedside manner, knowledge, but most importantly to me, his skill set. He is truly a rock star. One who is passionate and dedicated to ensuring a positive presence and outcome. I don't like going into any dental office. They were the only dentist office that didn't demand I have a "new patient" appointment first. Instead, they realized I needed *emergency* dentistry. I was able to get an appointment quickly. I was seen by Doctor Sahar Mehr. She quickly assessed the issue and understood that all I really needed was a "reglue". She was very careful and confirmed if there was any sensitivity - surprise! there was, a LOT! She quickly numbed the area, and after a few minutes waiting for the novocaine to take effect, she applied the adhesive and reglued my crown. It was obvious she was a knowledgable and practiced dentist. If / when I do need a dentist in this area, they will be my first choice! Thanks again for the great work!

If I could give no stars I would…read more That has been a back-and-forth struggle since February of this year - 2026. I came to the Dentist on the recommendation of someone close. After the exam, I was told I needed a deep cleaning, a root canal, a crown, and oral surgery for wisdom teeth removal. Besides the wisdom teeth removal, which I was told would be about $147, the prices vary between $685 - $795. I have Insurance and I asked them if this was before or after Insurance coverage. They said after insurance. I made two separate appointments and paid over $300 each for those appointments - just for a deep cleaning. Because money was tight, and I needed to budget and figure out how to make the rest of it work. You go into a dentist office for the first time, trusting that they know what they're doing - not just the job with your teeth, but the billing. Do you know what happened? I called my insurance the next week to get more information about coverage because $685 for deep cleaning did not seem right to me. I called the dentist office for the ADA codes to know what was necessary in case I needed that information. This Dentist was in network, coverage should not be an issue. And I'm told by my insurance that it is covered. 80% covered. I'll state the facts: I was charged two separate amounts totaling over $700, the ADA codes were not submitted correctly to my insurance, a balanced billing complaint was necessary because they refused to refund me, they gave me the runaround. After investigation, it was deemed that a deep cleaning was unnecessary and I had no responsibility to pay. They dragged their heels for a little over a month after the resolution letter came back saying they needed to refund me, my insurance had to call them and ask for that refund on my behalf because I had no patience for their games. Ask for a predetermination. I would have if I had known. Ask for it. Because the billing is hell and this was never supposed to happen but it did. This has been ongoing since February and we're at the end of August. You know what I was supposed to pay for that deep cleaning with insurance coverage? $112.80 by my calculations. See the price difference? I do. So ask for the predetermination if you don't want to take my word for it. Because you can trust, but you must verify.
