Lobo apples are delicious! There's ladders for those hard to reach apples and plenty of children's parks around and even a little farm with goats and chickens so a great day out for all the family!

If you go during peak apple picking season in September, expect to find large crowds everywhere! If you go in the beginning of October, it is much less crowded and you may even be able to find an available ladder in the orchard. I personally prefer visiting in the first two weeks of October since you can pick Cortland apples as they're the last type of apple to ripen and they keep really well. In September, it's too early for them and they're usually very small and unripe. What to know about visiting during covid is that you're not allowed to eat the apples in the orchard but then again, there's no enforcement of it so people do so anyway. There are lines to go into the boutique and bistro but you have the music of the live band to keep you entertained while you wait. They make some sought after apple donuts and the best place to pick up the donuts are at the Bistro. You can get them fresh out of the fryer and it's 6 for $13.75. They're not as appley as I had hoped, rather they're very doughy and cinnamony. They're best eaten fresh. We warmed them up in the oven the next day but not as good. So my advice is to get what you can eat immediately. If you want honeycrisp apples, those are available outside the boutique already picked, available in 3 sizes: 3lb, 5lb and 10lb. You can also buy other pre-picked apples and mini sour apples. There's a very tall sour mini apple tree located at one of the intersections in the orchard and the kiddies love eating them. If you're going during peak season, go early because the crowds swell as the day progresses. There's tons of parking around so that part isn't a problem. Since they're open year round, you could save the visits to the boutique for another time and avoid the crowds.

The fire was roaring right outside the cabane so got to have a quick drink outside before heading in. Shared a long table with a older couple so we had plenty of place to stretch out and relax. They did not have a great wine selection that's probably about the only not so great part about this whole experience. They had light wines which didn't match well with the meal. Their prices also jumped from 40-80 nothing in the middle and the ones they would recommend they did not have. We ended up with 16 dishes I believe because they added on extras as they go. Highly appreciated. I suggest going there hungry it's a lot of food it's not huge portions like pied du Cochon but it's still a lot. Food was amazing I loved every dish except for maybe one or two but that's because they were a tad bit funky. Such as the potato that tasted like egg salad and the anchovies and ham. They were good but not WOW like the other ones. They also have some waiters who care a little more and explain more than the others. I don't find that right. It should be one server per table because you get 1 sentence about what you're eating and someone else might tell you a story about what's in it and how long it was aged etc. We did have a crying baby which I get I felt bad for them But this locations is more intimate I wouldn't suggest bringing a baby or kids more of a date night or with friends and family. I do love the open kitchen concept and how they have a huge window so when you're outside by the fire or bar you can see how hard they are working away. One of my favourite experiences this year by far and I can't wait to try their new menus to come.

It has a little shop in front selling apple pies, jams, honey candy, the thing that stood out the most is that it was a Bio farm .. all their apples are fresh and organic. I loved the apple picking process too bad we came at the end of the season and all that was left were cortland apples. The rest were in the front ready to buy not pick from the tree. They had ladders available to climb up the trees and pick your apples. The only negative comment was the service.. they seemed pretty rude and strict with the rules I felt unwelcomed .. we couldn't touch anything.. if we touched one apple on the tree we had to buy it and couldn't leave it there. It was super weird Overall, it's a beautiful farm with beautiful apples and I'm surprised it's been 3 weeks now and my apples still look and taste fresh and deeeelicious!!

Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and felt true to the season. We started with the artichoke salad with coppa and stracciatella fresh, creamy, and well balanced. The mi-cooked trout with beurre blanc and chanterelles was rich yet delicate, while the ratatouille tart added a rustic, comforting touch. The gnocchi with foie gras was indulgent in the best way, and the turkey and sausage dish was hearty and satisfying. Dessert was a highlight: the raspberry tart was light, beautifully crafted, and the perfect way to end the meal. The overall experience felt special generous portions, incredible seasonal flavours, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's clear how much thought goes into this menu, and it really shines through in every bite. Highly recommend experiencing this before you die.

One must simply be ready the moment online reservations open in early December. I treated myself and my husband in early April in the thick of maple sugaring season. The drive from Montreal is a good hour, so we opted to stay in Laval. Much better might have been to rent an Airbnb in Mirabel. Next time. Because there simply must be a next time. For one fixed price (about $95 CAN), you are treated to course after course after course of the most delicious food crafted in the Québécois countryside. Everything has maple. Everything is the best thing you've ever tasted. I just wanted to slow down time and make this night last forever. Because it was just two of us, we lucked out and got seats at the bar instead of sharing a big communal table. Our two barkeeps were excellent- so friendly, plus knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every dish they served us. I had read that seasoned diners know to bring their own plastic containers for leftovers, so I too tucked a few into my bag. Do the same. Especially by the time you reach the flight of desserts at the meals end, one simply cannot consume that much food in one sitting. I will be dreaming of this epic meal for years to come. Or maybe just a year. Living only a three hour drive away, how can I not return next spring? Apparently, the menu changes every year. This place could shutter its doors someday and then it truly will exist only in my dreams. Until then, I simply must return. It exceeded my expectations, and then some. Divine. Rustic. Elevated. Joyful. Boisterous. Refined. Exquisite. Extraordinary.
