I went into this store to buy just one item as a gift for my best friend's new born but ended up buying all of my holiday gifts for my friends' children! There was so many adorable items and I appreciate that many of the them are made locally and some are even organic. The person working was super helpful and sweet and gave me some advice when I was indecisive on which items to buy. Can't wait to go spoil my friends' kids more when I come back here next. This place has only been open a couple months and I hope people will continue to support this wonderful local business and avoid the big commercial places like Toys R Us. read more

This place is GREAT - a very welcome addition to Piedmont Avenue. The owner has fabulous taste and has curated quite a collection of baby & kids stuff. The second hand clothes are all in great shape, well priced, and super hip; plus, there's room to look with racks that aren't over-crowded with junk. The toys and accessories are irresistible. This is absolutely my favorite store to go to for presents for the kids and babies in my life. There are always at least a few things that I fall in love with, and the whole feel of the shop is very cute. I was on my way home after dropping my car off at the shop and getting some coffee, when I noticed Valentine's was on the way. I've been meaning to stop by so this was the perfect time to do so. Sacha, the owner, was there and she's such a sweetheart. There's a lot of great items here for babies and kids that I felt a little jealous. Sasha's store is magic. Great second hand picks and new items as well. The store feels curated without feeling too precious. She has wonderful clothing, toys and books for newborns to toddlers. I enjoy supporting her shop and interacting with her. My go to place for my kid and others. Love this place for cute and good quality used clothing! I don't see the point in buying new baby clothes when the longest they'll wear it is a couple months. Plus, they get dirty all the time. The clothing here is cheap, you don't have to worry about expanding your carbon footprint and everything in the store is adorable! And when baby grows out of it, sell it back and get store credit! read more

Valentine's is my favorite go-to spot for splurge-worthy, super adorable gifts for all the beautiful babies in my life. The only reason I don't go there more often is to keep myself from overspending. I've also found the cutest used sparkly Stride Rite shoes that look like they had never been worn, so there are great deals to be had as well! i finally got a chance to go into this charming store. The woman who worked there was friendly and helpful. She helped me find just the right present for a friends daughter without feeling like she was trying to make me buy something. She seems to just genuinely love what she does. What a wonderful find! My baby, dog, and I take frequent walks down Piedmont Ave and we were pleasantly surprised to see a new kid's clothes store open up. The shop is really cute, with a good selection of secondhand and new clothes for infants and toddlers. There's also a little corner section for tykes to occupy themselves while adults can explore the racks. Genius. The shop keepers are very friendly and my kid really enjoyed herself while I got to pick up a few clothing essentials for just a few bucks. Win-win for everyone! I really hope the shop is here to stay; it's a great addition to the neighborhood. read more

This is a wonderful little children's store with a great selection of books, toys, nursery decor, and both new and gently used clothing. Most of the store is geared toward the under-five set but there are a few gift items for older children and the proprietor - who is very warm and has fabulous taste - is slowly expanding the range of clothing sizes. The store carries fantastic, harder-to-find toy brands, such as Djeco and Janod. I love small, independent businesses like this! read more

I'm in my mid-30's which means my friends are popping out kids left and right and I have baby showers to attend (two this year alone!). My formula for my baby shower gifts is: diapers and/or a multi-pack of Carter onesies ($20-$30) + "cute stuff" ($10-$20). Valentine's helps fulfill the "cute stuff" criteria. I usually can find something very close to what's on the registry, but with a more interesting design plus I'm supporting a local business! There's a wide selection of gender-neutral gifts, which is key when my friends make that very specific request in their registries. Sasha the owner of Valentine's is awesome! I've been a customer since the day (literally) the store opened. My now 3-month old baby and I go at least once a month with a bag of clothes that are already small for her to exchange for store credit. In fact, we are going there today for another swap. It's conveniently located near Kaiser that I can swing by after my baby's and my appointments. I just wish she's open on Tuesdays because that's the only day my fiance is available to go and see the place. Oh, she also has TONS of new clothes, toys, and other baby necessities that are great as gifts. My sister bought a decorated bowl that comes with a lid, spoon and a strong suction underneath for our cousin's baby; while I bought a decorated dishwasher safe (silicone) bib that has a little pouch that catches food. Practical and stylish items, I think that's Sasha's taste in general from the look of the place. read more

Note - the store hours posted on yelp are not correct as the store is open on Tuesdays and per the store's website - Valentine's will be open 7 days a week from 10am-6pm from Nov. 28th through Dec. 25th.
