I was visiting from out of town and this place was recommended to me bc they are open 24hrs. Cool concept but we had to wait a very long time for our food and when we finally got it, I could not believe the hype. The crab dip is old bay flavored cream cheese with a sprinkle of crab I didn't even taste. We literally couldn't even finish it! Straight cream cheese only! The sampler platter we got looked like someone's leftovers. The only thing I would come back to this place for is the dessert! Get a piece of cake! All flavors are delicious! I was not planning to write a review but when I saw so many negative ones, I thought i needed to comment. I was there recently for an excellent breakfast. First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful! I have not been there in at least 10 years...what a difference!!! The remodel was definitely worth it and the white table cloths are just a little more to add to the ambience. That starts when you realize they have their own parking lot behind the restaurant. The decor is just right: a hymn to silent film star, Rudolph Valentino, with many pictures and mementos on the walls...a nice touch. The menu is varied (we checked out lunch and dinner menus as well). The host and server were both delightful, as was everyone else with whom we came into contact. Could not have been better. The majority of negative reviews here on yelp come from customers who did carry out or ordered via one of the many delivery services. I think it is unfair to judge a restaurant with a dining room if you don't actually eat in the dining room! Our food was excellent, everything was done to perfection and the service was impeccable. (it was a rainy day the day we came, and the server even provided plastic bags for our wet umbrellas!). After the meal, we had to ask for our checks (the waiter did not want to rush us.) We enjoyed the restaurant so much that I am taking my games group there for dinner next time we meet. Some folks have said it is expensive. My reaction to that is no more expensive than any other establishment these days...all in line with Bidenomics! However, there are very inexpensive options on the menu as well. This baltimore staple needs to be more enjoyed and appreciated by those who live in the area as well as by those who don't. Give it a shot! read more

yeah, I am gonna write another review. My wife and I have ordered from Valentino's once a week, easily, since this whole Covid thing started. We DoorDash Valentino's, and in a timely fashion our food gets here. And it is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. If I were to guess, in the last 6 months we ordered 20 times and 20 times the food is consistent, tasty, hot, and most important of all, correct! And they have some great people working for them who always want to make sure it is right, or if/when wrong, it gets right! From the Reuben sandwich(my wifes' fave) to the wings, the pizza, the pasta (I like the spaghetti and meatballs, she is for the Chicken Parm), we always are satisfied. I don't understand why this place cannot follow simple instructions. First time visiting Baltimore for a convention. Ordered door dash because this was the only place open late. We ordered Pork Chops and Lasagna. One of the BEST Lasagnas I have ever had and the pork chop was cooked perfectly. Very large portion sizes. Overall AMAZING DINNER! Really really enjoyed our meal. Super delish! We are not local but travel 95 way too frequently. Decided to take a quick detour to Valentino's. Was super yummy I had crab cake over Caesar salad so good! Lettuce was fresh. The service was abysmal. I have a broken leg, so I called and asked if they could run it out to me. I was parked in the closest parking spot, less than 10 ft from the door. The woman on the phone refused. Sure, if that's the rules fine. What was horrible was everyone, customers AND staff watched me struggle through the two doors. I wrestle with the outside door which is extremely heavy. Then, with the extreme difficulty managed to open the second door. When I finally arrived at the register the woman had an attitude like I was inconveniencing her. I didn't even look at my order I was so upset. So I wrestled again with my crutches and the doors. What they are trying to do is make it a fancy restaurant w/ solid entrees... but the fact of the matter is, it's a diner. A very nice diner but a diner, nonetheless. I was craving a good cold cut sammy and assumed they would make a great cold cut sammy. I mean an Italian eatery should know how to do a cold cut some justice, right?!?! You know, like a 'Dagwood Bumstead' Club sammy. Aaahhh well. Lesson learned... **womp womp** Let's start with the pluses... My server, Luis, was as usual, above & beyond perfection. I have been blessed with always getting him every time I go to Valentino's. He's a consummate professional and always 'chit chats' just enough to make you feel welcome. He is one of the best things Valentino's has to offer. Let's see... What else? The ice was fantastic. Cold, clear, wet. Well played, Valentino's. Can u sense my sarcasm yet? Next, The Minute Maid (pre-packaged) Lemonade was just as I expected. Faint yellow, watered down, just like it is in the carton. No wins. No losses. French Fries - These, I think we're actually the star of the show. They were fried w/ a crispy coating and had an incredibly warm, flaky interior. The PERFECT fry. I only had about 7, though. Why, u ask? Because I mistakenly took a bite of what might considered the flavor equivalent of going out, hopping in a dune buggy, driving hours to get there, and actually licking the Mojave Desert floor (pick a sand dune. ANY sand dune. I bet it had more flavor). I digress... And now, the biggest 'con' of all. This club was quite possibly the driest club sandwich I have ever had the misfortune of having placed in front of me. They even have the nerve to name this the 'Valentino Club' sandwich. What I can say with utmost certainty is that Rudolph Valentino (the theme of this eatery), whose movie posters are all over the dining room walls, looked at my sammy when it came out and I could swear, I heard the posters whispering, "PSSSSST Hey, I'm sorry...". Ole boy is certainly rolling over in his grave tonight. 'DAYUM, Darren. Why are you being so rough', you may ask... ? Allow me to break this overpriced dehydrator down.... Roast beef - grey. That's right. Not 'great' but GREY (like in a Crayola Crayon 64-pack) Turkey - dry w/ that gelatinous slime that is on the edges when u buy pre-packaged turkey breast meat (yuck) Ham - decent. That is all. Lettuce - minimal. At least if there was a decent amount of lettuce, the crisp wetness could counter-balance the dryness of the sammy. But nope. They may have used an entire leaf from the head of lettuce for that sandwich but... I doubt it. Mayonnaise - a hint, a whiff, a wish of mayo... But certainly no slather. Certainly no flavor. Bacon - what bacon? I think the cook may have rubbed the bread on some cooked bacon (from another customer's dish) for flavor. Hmmm - now that I think about it, I DID see actual bacon on there but for a 5-layer sandwich, I'm thinking more than ONE strip of bacon is needed (for the flavor & grease factor ALONE). Maybe I'm asking for too much but DAYUM, at least THAT ONE STRIP could have been a whole strip!!!! They completely missed the mark with this sandwich. Soooo, $13 later (for the club, alone)... I would've liked a little more crab meat; however, the outstanding seasoning gave it an amazing flavor. My second course was the salmon basket salad. It was huge and serviced in a taco bowl.
