Not a very good meal. For an Italian joint, it was lackluster for wedding soup and pizza. The wedding soup had zero meatballs in it and was barely warm. Pizza was a thin crust and slightly chewy. Service was average with a long wait time for pre-meal bread. But when it did arrive it was somewhat warm and good. The setting could use an update and cleaning. The ceiling vents showed clear signs of old fans imprints and dirt. The prices would have been acceptable if the food matched. Wedge was made with a pita bread that was tough and difficult to cut with a knife. The insides were dry even with mayo. It also was barely above room temperature. We didn't feel like cooking, and felt like Italian, so we went to Valenza. The fried ravioli was tasty, especially when dipped in the marinara it was served with it. My wife had the Italian platter - two stuffed shells, a manicotti, a large meatball and Italian sausage, topped with that delicious sauce. Her meal came with a fresh salad and a small loaf of bread. The bread was warm and delicious! My son and I each had a stromboli. He chose to have only pepperoni and cheese in his and was easily accommodated. I had mine with all the usual fillings. I had a medium, he had a large, and we both brought half home for lunch tomorrow! They were well prepared and tasty. Service was good, in pleasant surroundings. We'll be back! read more

Pretty large menu with lots of options, definitely something here for everyone... but rather pricey. Pasta entrees do come with fresh baked bread, the bread is delicious! The pasta sauces on the other hand are rather bland. We've found that the pizza is pretty decent though. Wasn't impressed with the veggie pizza, as there was just random chunks of broccoli and cauliflower thrown onto the pizza. Would rather have the veggies chopped and spread out evenly. White sauce is good, along with the traditional red sauce... love the cheese blend they use. read more

Two of us ordered angel hair pasta with garlic & oil and added shrimp and mushrooms on one and shrimp and brocolli on the other - there was hardly any garlic and oil on them. The pasta was dry, I ended up pouring my Italian Wedding soup over my dry pasta to give it some flavor. There might have been 10 mushrooms on a large order, come on - put some mushrooms on the pasta - there cheap. Our 3rd buddy got the fettuccine alfredo - it too was dry. Visiting family this past Christmas I was promised the best pizza ever. I had happily announced already that I already found the best pizza ever, but nevertheless off we went. Valenza is a small pizza and sub restaurant located a stone's throw from the movie theater. The decor is fairly typical for a small establishment - little square tables with little chairs and not much else. We ordered a pepperoni and cheese pizza. The service was fast and friendly, the pizza warm, and the price was low. The pizza, though, wasn't spectacular. They claim to have thin crust, but the crust was average and tasteless. There wasn't a spectacular amount of cheese, but they didn't really skimp either. The sauce was equally unremarkable. Really this was the most average pizza I have ever eaten. read more

Was visiting from NY and stopped in for dinner. A very pleasant surprise! We had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get in at 6:00, but the wait time was accurately forecasted, and we were soon seated. Great service, warm bread on the table and a cold beer was a good start, but the food was the star of the show. We had tortellini in meat sauce, spaghetti and meatballs as well as a small pizza. We live in Meadville and come here anytime we're in the mood for Italian. Their food and the service is wonderful! The Italian wedge is my favorite . The bathrooms have recently been redone and look great! The restaurant is small and the dining area isn't state of the art, however, it certainly is clean! After a long day of ridding in our van on the way to Canada we decided to stop here for a well needed meal after seeing a few good reviews on yelp we came here and man this place is great the place had a homely vibe to it and quite clean to add our waitress was very polite and the pizza was satisfying noted that they also sell subs, salads, pastas, and soups my only gripe was that the gnocchi Gorgonzola was too stuffed with cheese and needed a little more flavoring otherwise all the food our party had was spot-on read more

The restaurant all in all was pretty good only minor things gave me the reason for the stars, the ketchup isn't kept refrigerated, the tables are small and not fitting for four people. Was in the area for a week and people recommended I try this place. The ambiance and decor are not the fake kitchy-kind of Italian that Olive Garden peddles - this is a simple place that serves good food for reasonable prices. The service was excellent - my server was very nice and friendly. I ordered the special pasta, which was well cooked and wasn't too salty (a common Meadville problem). From beginning to end, everything was tasty and more importantly tasted as it should. And the portion sizes were immense, so come hungry.
