It took a long time for my wife and I to find a pizza in Kenosha that we could both agree was delicious. She is from New York, I met her while living there, although I am from Indiana. Their thin crust pizza is the only one we found locally that she finds acceptable. There are several stuffed, thick, and deep dish pizzas I like in Kenosha, but the thin crust here and their cheesy bread are nearly impossible to go wrong with. This is my favorite pizza spot in Kenosha. The staff is so kind and friendly. When we went in they were actually done taking orders but one of the workers let us put an order in( thank you). The calzones and fried raviolis are our favorite things on the menu. But, nothing beats their sauce I would drink it if I could. Valeo's is usually pretty good, but lately, not so much. Had an experience last time where the portions and ingredients we smaller and smaller. Today, just ridiculous. Ordered 3 10" calzones. $35! Not cheap, but in the past they have been a nice size and good tasting. Today they are practically microscopic compared to in the past. They charged me for a 10" and each one was barely 8" and like 1/4" thick, almost flat! I also payed for double sausage and there were like 6 pieces in the whole thing! It was a good pizzeria, but something changed but not for the best! The last time my wife ordered , she ordered, the pizza with a crispy crust. The pizza was as close to raw as can be. And of course the crust was was as soft as can be. We had to put it in the oven to try to get it "crispy, of course it did not work. Today 11/26/2021, we order a pizza well done, and a salade. The salade was "chopped " and came with one piece of bread and one piece of butter. The pizza was again not done as what we asked. We had to put it in the oven to try to get it the way we wanted it. No longer a loyal fan. I grew up on Valeo's and Pa's pizza. For Mother's Day all I wanted was pizza. Valeo's was open before Pa's so I ordered from there. This will be my last time. My pizza was not even warm when it arrived. It felt as if the driver had the box open as he drove to my home. When I called to complain the young lady said "I'm sorry the bag must not have been plugged in." Not an "we can issue you a discount on your next order or a free item up to a certain dollar amount" no thing. I told my husband to throw it in the garbage because it was disgusting and I'm not eating any more of it. I ended up ordering food from a different take out. I'm totally biased because I grew up having this pizza every Friday at school, but this is the best pizza in Kenosha. Valeo's thin crust sausage pizza is fantastic. It's the perfect thin crust. It's not super crunchy and the bottom isn't coated in cornmeal. I also love that the sausage is a good size, it's not crumbled all over the pizza, instead it's covered in good size sausage chunks. Pizzas have meat on them. Water is wet, the sky is blue, and pizzas have meat on them. When I was 4, my favorite pizza was Andy's Pizza in Indianapolis. As an adult I have learned why. The sausage was made in-house. The grind on the meat was thin, so the sausage became a part of the sauce. This turned the tomato paste into a fennel-heavy porkfat and glutamate flavor powerhouse that complimented the mellow mozzarella. When I was 18, my favorite pizza was the classic Gino's East in Chicago. The crust is lined with pepperoni that. It becomes a delicious greasebowl, a melting-pot for the sausage to simmer in as the massive pie cooks up. But I lived in Washington State for decades. It's not a place for land-animal cuisine. Or pizza. They have salmon. My first pizza in Wisconsin turned out to be the best pizza I'd had in 20 years. And it didn't have meat on it. Valeo's famous spinach stuffed-cheese pizza is essentially a perfect food item. The cheese is a fresh mozzarella that brings character and oozy-chew to each bite. The whole thing has an inner layer of ricotta and spinach. The sublimely simple cream-flavor of the ricotta takes the mineral edge off of the spinach. The two become something greater than either ingredient could hope to be on its own, although it is a high quality ricotta with a very clean "happy cow" taste. The crust is folded over the edges of the pizza in a nearly braided twist. It brings just the right amount of "bite" once you make your way to the edge of the triangle slice. You'll eat all the crust, too. It has a toasty flavor and an unexpected airiness to it on its own. Dip it in the complimentary bowl of sweet pasta-sauce that sits in the box with the pizza. Other things I've tried from Valeo's are good, but could be larger to justify their price point. (They have daily specials that take care of this, though.) Ordered a pizza from them. The Chicken Alfredo Specialty Pizza. Says it has garlic crust, alfredo sauce, chicken, mozzarella, and Parmesan. After picking it apart, the pizza had NO sign of alfredo sauce and no garlic flavor to the crust or even the pizza. Unfortunately, I just won't order from them again. One of the best spots for Gluten-free or regular pizza in town. They are local and deliver quickly. The pizzas and ingredients on them are always very fresh and tasty. Additionally this is one of the ONLY places I have been able to find Gluten-Free pizzas in multiple sizes (meaning they actually make it and do not just buy the crust). This is very exciting as it does not restrict someone who is eating Gluten-Free to the very standard 10-12" pizzas at most. They even offer a 16" which is incredible! The website was way better than the pizza. I thought the online ordering system was pretty neat, but their food could use a little work. I orderd a thin crust half cheese, half mushroom, sausage, spinach and garlic. I also had an order of mojo's too. It took an hour and 5 minutes for my food to be delivered. The mojo's were mediocre. You could tell they were a pre made frozen product. The pizza had no flavor at all. The cheese had a strange plastic taste which would indicate it was a lower quality factory shredded mozzarella. The half of the pizza with the sausage,mushroom spinach and garlic was interesting. I could count 4 dried up spinach leaves 6 sliced mushrooms and maybe 10 pieces of bland Italian sausage. The chopped garlic was smeared all over the top like they were trying to kill a vampire or something. In a town with so much Italian heritage it's sad that most of the pizza places are far from good. I wish some of these places would step their game up. After all, I spent 32 dollars on a pizza and potoates when I should have just bought a frozen Freshetta. read more

The food itself, I have no complaints. However, the customer service at this place is less than acceptable. While placing my order, the man told me my coupon code was not valid, even though I was clearly looking at the coupon that I received in the mail, right in front of me with no expiration date. I began to tell him it had no expiration date but was hung up on and I did not even get to finish my sentence. This is not the customer service that I expect at any restaurant, much less a small town business. Haven't ordered from Valeo's in a long long time because of the lack of online ordering for my particular area, so when I saw online ordering was available today (with their new ordering system) I just had to try it again. I rarely, if ever say that a restaurant's food has gotten better, but this is totally the case with Valeo's. The bread on the Italian Beef is absolutely perfect and I now consider Valeo's as having THE best Italian Beef in Kenosha. It was a little lite on the meat & cheese, so next time I might try double meat & cheese. The double crust pizza was fantastic and the bread bites just cannot be topped and the only reason why I gave it four stars was because they forgot our drinks. So, thank you Valeo's for getting online ordering back for those of us near 94. We will be ordering regularly! read more

The food here is ok but very disappointing to show up for pickup and not one single person working the the restaurant (even the kitchen) was wearing a mask or gloves. I used to work at a pizza restaurant, I know the ovens get hot enough to kill bacteria. That isn't the point. The point is we are in a pandemic and Valeo's is happy to collect your money, but not happy to take a very small step to protect their customers. Personally for my own health choices, I won't be back here again. There are no precautions being taken here in regards to COVID. The food was delicious and hot and tasted fresh, and the delivery driver got here 20 minutes earlier than they estimated on the phone. Used my restaurant.com coupon that I bought previously and got $10 off an order of more than $15. I would suggest checking that app/ website out if you'd like a good deal. On a Friday night I ordered a pizza for pick up and was looking online at the menu and it was very user friendly but wound up calling anyway. The person taking my order was very accommodating polite and very customer oriented. Online there is an option of adding a free baked cheesy bread with a purchase of a 16 in pizza. I would highly suggest adding this to your order! Although the parking at the restaurant was a little crowded i got in and out quickly and my pizza was ready and hot when I arrived. The baked cheesy bread was fabulous. Crispy one inch crust on the outside with melted mozzarella cheese in the middle. The marina dipping sauce had a little kick to it which was a great twist.
