Let me preface this by saying I'm not giving the original place a bad review. It's the new Valeos by target out on highway 50. We tried it yesterday for the first time. Doubt I'll ever go back. Took five minutes to seat us in a virtually empty restaurant and 15 more minutes to get waited on. After that it was over. We walked out. Why would a place that's made its reputation and money doing delivery and take out want to expand into a restaurant after 30+ years of doing it right is beyond me. This is never going to work. Stick to what you do good After 3 months someone responds to this and basically does nothing about our terrible experience and they do is tell me what wonderful people they are. Their staff is amazing and they are community focused. They constantly give back to the community with an emphasis on foster care and adoption. Tried for the first time tonite. It was almost two hours before the pizza came. The pizza was ok at best. Very sparse on the toppings, somewhat salty. The Italian beef was not good. Losing your touch Valeos!! Never had a problem until now besides their online site being incorrect with prices and add ons. Ordered the perch and it sure don't look anything like the picture. Fries were soggy and the tarter sauce is definitely not edible unless you want a very long weekend over the commode! Okay, I'm not a pizza snob. But I do expect a lot when a place wins an award. After reading that they won a local award for their pizza, we had to try it out. We got 2 stuffed pizzas and a calzone. Being from Chicago, the stuffed pizza was a solid 3/5 (translation, 60%), but nothing more, and not up to the hype we read and heard from others. They put the sauce in a small cup on the side, which was NOT enough sauce. It should have also come with a small cup of Parmesan to sprinkle on because all the top pizza places do that as a finishing touch. The toppings were inadequate, and the calzone barely had any meat in it and was way overpriced for its size. And same thing, not enough sauce. That said, it was good but there's better. We like this place for pizza, salad, as well as their customer service order takers are outstanding! They have great specials and coupons too! What's not to like? All the salad dressings are homemade. If your like creamy garlic dressing you should definitely check it out!!! It is that good!!! Salads are made fresh to order. The thin crust pizza is always piping hot when we pick it up. It is "your classic thin thin thin kenosha crust" which I've learned about since moving to Kenosha this spring - all the pizza places here seem to specialize in thin crust. Nice family run pizza place. Its pickup or delivery only, but that's ok. The pizza's are reasonably priced and they have coupons in Happenings or other papers which make it very affordable. The pizzas are good. I get thin crust cheese and sausage. They put enough ingredients on the pie for me, but if you like it chock full, order double. Okay I hate to leave such a low review for this place because I've been coming here my whole life and it was my favorite for so long but we need to talk about how this place has started to get cheap with its ingredients. I despise onion and the last 2 times I went here there was actually onion in the pizza sauce! Why?! No one else does that except cheap jets and I do not want no lousy fast food pizza. I have stopped getting this pizza because I think that's awful that they would change such a good thing, I get that onions cost a dime a dozen and people like to fill everything up with the garbage to save money but it is disgusting and I hate it and I can't even bite into the garbage without vomiting. I'm so sad they changed my favorite pizza. If you guys are reading this please go back to the sauce you used to use! Maybe you switched to some junk in a can and that's why the onion is in there but you should care more about your customers than the little money you may save.
