Located in a strip mall, it's easy to find with plenty of parking. Some is adjacent to the building but more is across a traffic lane. Handicapped access is easy. We ordered take out and arrived when we were told the food would be ready. It was just coming out of the kitchen when we arrived, so the timing was great. The service was friendly. The food was packaged as typical for Mexican take out with all dishes in foil containers and crimped on lids. The food stayed hot on the short drive. The Chili Colorado was nicely spicy with a decent amount of meat. The beans and rice were nothing special but certainly fine. The carne asada fajitas had good flavor and enough meat to balance the onions, etc. Another dining partner tried a steak torta and was very happy with it. The bread was fresh and held up well to the sandwich components. The chicken enchiladas were also very flavorful. The provided salsa was smooth without heat. So disappointing I wish I could give it 0 stars. Off the supper menu, I ordered a grilled chicken salad that was supposed to come with avocado and cucumber. I expected maybe half an avocado but instead received a couple of pieces sliced so thinly that combined they were at most 1/2 inch of avocado. I got one piece of cucumber and one piece of mandarin--each the size and thickness of a half dollar. There was maybe 1/3 cup of lettuce under a piece of chicken that had been beaten with a mallet or driven over by a steamroller. Seriously I had to eat again when I got home because I was still hungry. If you want good Mexican, El Trio down the street has larger portions, better flavor, a much wider variety of entrees, more attentive waiters and a better atmosphere at a far more reasonable price. read more

We were traveling home from Florida today and stopped for the night in Ringgold, GA. This amazing Mexican restaurant has just a little over a mile from our hotel. The food was authentic and the customer service was top-notch. Everything was delicious in a order came out quickly. We knew we were no longer in Naples Florida because our bill was less than $40 without tip but incl 2 entrees (chimichanga and Vallarta chicken bowl) plus a Mexican beer and a margarita. The final touch was when Enrique Flores came to our table and made me a rose out of the paper napkin. It makes us wanna spend the night off of this exit next year as well just so we can go to this fabulous restaurant. read more

This is the cleanest, freshest Mexican food I've had in a LONG TIME. The inside is very clean and I was greeted promptly by my server. I asked him for some recommendations and he guided me to their Big, big taco. It's HUGE. It comes on a huge corn tortilla and has a wonderful flavor. The steak was clean and not dripping. I asked for fresh jalapeños on the inside of the taco as well. When the large platter came, it had a HUGE steak taco, salad on the side with beautiful avocado slices without a tinge of brown, rice and beans. The steak is cut up into very small cubes, with cheese, onion and in my case fresh jalapeño. It was amazing. If you're in Ringgold, or close to it- stop in for a great experience. Remodeled interior was a unexpected pleasure and a nice surprise. For the age of this shopping complex, it was refreshing to walk into the visually appealing and welcoming dining room. Even the bathrooms had received a remake and were clean and nicely appointed. I'm not often in the mood for Mexican, and I guess because of so many poorly executed offerings, I can be reluctant. Today's decision paid off and we all enjoyed our meals and the food was fresh, tasty, and generous portions (we all had leftovers). I had the Ringgold Fajitas, my wife had the Fajita Salad, and our friend had the Loco Rice with chicken. And of course we started with their chips and salsa which was eagerly devoured. But be aware and make sure you remember that any extras including lemons are heavely charged for example a little side of cilantro and onions charged at .99 each and a side of lemons at .50 cents each bringing my bill up by and extra 2.50. The service still is very good and "friendly" but I think that they are having to charge extra as the place is not in a very popular area. read more

What delicious food! Looking to dine-in in Ringgold on a Thursday night, we tried Vallarta. What a find! The chips were thin and delicious and the salsa was also great. We started with a house Margarita so good. My husband had the Enchiladas Vallarta and an extra Mexican taco. The steak was good, but the carnitas . . . they were excellent! I ordered Flaming Cheese which is a dish they created where you choose the grilled meat on top of grilled onions, bell pepper, spinach and mushrooms - basically fajitas with cheese and more yummy veggies, beans, rice and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. Holy moly it was so delicious! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We can't wait to go back there! read more

Everyone suggests this place for Mexican food but when we went we ended up paying for our sodas and leaving. The waitress couldn't speak very much English and they didn't have the first 3 drinks we tried to order so we just took whatever they had. Wait time was ridiculously long and my husband asked for no onions 3 times and when he saw the people behind us complaining they asked for no onions and got some anyway we decided to leave. I will try again though because maybe it was just a bad combination of things that day. I'll amend my review if I'm wrong about this place read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Ringgold. We come here once a week for their delicious food and also their convenience to our house. My fiancé and i have tried a variety of things including but not limited to their beef burritos, varieties of tacos, their shrimp cocktail, fajitas and a few speciality dishes. Everything is well made here and super flavorful. They have very fresh ingredients and the sauces are yummy. The service is typically good as well. I'm glad to have Vallarta in town :) read more

we already had an idea we were going to have an interesting experience when we seen pasta on the menu. . . but it was the closest mexicab restaurant to the high school our kids were playing at. . to start . . our server was not friendly we felt like we were bothering her. my friend and I ordered huevos rancheros and they brought out something totally different. when she brought out the "correct" order our eggs were not runny at all over done. we did not send them back. one of the children ordered a soft taco with just cheese and sour cream it came out with chicken on it. we ordered a margarita, a small pitcher of beer and a 32 ounce beer. . a cup never came out with the pitcher. My boyfriend was drinking out of the pitcher. they never brought the 32 oz beer I had to go up to the bar and get it . . also when you order a Mexican beer It usually comes with limes. no limes. when the checks came out we were charged for the wrong entrées. we didn't even say anything. we couldn't believe how bad our experience was when there was absolutely not other customers in there! not busy at all. we should have known when we walked in on a Saturday at one and it was dead. . Where do I start? I think my opinion might be biased as after all this is a small town. I live in and around a large metro area and have to be in the area 3 times per week for my daughters practices. The facility itself is clean and neat. The service was somewhat suspect as there was only one woman servicing the entire place. It's not that big or busy but one person is very concerning. I asked for a Jumbo margarita, but they did not have a glass for this. I asked for a beer and they were out waiting for a delivery. The menu prices were rather steep for the area. I went ala carte with a beef and cheese quesadilla. It came out Luke warm, very soggy and extremely salty. The chips tasted like bagged chips from the local supermarket. The salsa was cold but was very heavy with cilantro. I asked twice for no salt on my margarita glass, but received salt. I am sure there are better places in the area and I would search them out. read more
