Enchiladas
Lexi S.

My dad couldn't wait to take me here. Nestled in Filmore you will see it as you drive thru town. There's a little restaurant that's yellow and stands out. They have a parking lot in the back! Went in on a Saturday evening and it was really dead around 5pm! They have a full bar, massive margaritas that they will make Virgin if you ask. My dad had a few beers, I had the Jamaica with horchata in it (creamy, sweet, delicious!) their chips and salsa are also addictingly crunchy and satisfying. I loved their salsa, it has depth to it and I couldn't stop myself from eating it! I ordered the green enchiladas (one chicken and one cheese) they are gluten free. Served along side rice, beans, and sour cream. There was a lot of cheese and I couldn't finish it (just because it was so rich!) I took home the leftovers to eat the following day. The dish was fanatic, next time I could stick to the chicken enchiladas, there was plenty of cheese! The rice was cooked perfectly, the beans were a little runny. My dad had the chili rellanos and said they were good, but smaller in size than the last time he had been. He finished his plate! My side salad was nothing to write home about, small portion. Price was decent, $65 for 2 beers, one drink, 2 entrees and a side salad. The service... I feel bad saying this. One of the girls that served us moved very slowly.. she had only 2 other tables besides us that she was attending. It took her a long time to come back when we asked for drinks (I never got a refill) my dad waited 30 min for his second beer. The food came out of the kitchen at a decent speed but the server was taking her time. Another server there was quickly bussing tables, taking orders, and making sure everyone was tended to. If you're a server please look up and scan the room to know if someone needs something!! We couldn't flag her down and this is a small one room restaurant. She could use some training. Luckily the other girl helped give us our check, and took care of the rest. The restaurant itself is charming, cute and quant. I would come for margaritas with the girls. The paintings on the wall could use some improvement.

Burrito

We came back from a camping trip stoped here. got Queso fond a burrito and 2 enchiladas!

Menu as of Sep 2025

Everything is made in house, good flavors, good customer service. Decor is appropriate and tasteful. Parking a bit limited.

This is what they consider a "regular" burrito.

Great Mexican cantina. It was full around dinner time on a Friday and only one server, but she took our order quickly and the food came out shortly after. Everything tasted quite good and portions were huge as you can see by the attached photo of the burrito.

This is not a chorizo burrito with potatoes.

Definitely a place to avoid. I called them and told them i was in a hurry and if i can preorder. They told me i could preorder. I went to restaurant and they didn't even start my order. They were waiting for me to pay first probably. I ordered 3 tacos with tomatoes, onions and cilantro. Also chorizo breakfast burrito with potatoes. The food was nothing like I ordered. I received a saggy burrito without any meat and no potatoes. Also tacos with no tomatoes, no onions and no cilantro. I called them and their excuse was they were so busy. There were only two tables with guests in the restaurant. I supposed to save time by calling, i lost an hour.

The margaritas... so so good. Cucumber with tajin is the best in my opinion. The beef taquitos are delicious

A treat in Fillmore! I love me some coffee drinks such as mckennas, which is my all time favorite,…read morebut this place took me by surprise. It had two drinks that caught my eye. The lees special and the shaken espresso. I saw they had a strawberry and berry flavored redbull drink but that wasn't my style. Some others listed were employee specials which I would imagine are decent as well. The service was friendly, the woman at the front might have thought I was decent looking so maybe that is why she was friendly. But from my personal experience she was pretty good. Pricing was the same as the one at McKenna's. The drink however was slightly less good than McKenna's cold foam. Don't get me wrong both are good. This one had a sweeter taste, maybe more sugar was added. But it tasted delicious. The interior was peaceful, similar to a little 16 year old females decorative home. It had a lot of girl decorations I kid you not. But peaceful and air conditioned. I liked it. They had donuts inside as well but of course I have to say no to them or I'll get diabetes. But they looked tasty. Overall I recommend to try it out if you ever stop by and want a refreshing drink. The ones I mentioned I found to be good purchases tasted great and I enjoyed the flavors.

Also, I don't know where they get their pastries but their GF banana bread is so yummy, I've had it at another coffee shop before too.

The service is always fast, friendly, and welcoming, and it's honestly one of the easiest restaurants in Fillmore to recommend with complete confidence to anyone visiting town. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The margaritas and micheladas are off the charts! generous pours and huge compared to the tiny drinks you get at so many other Mexican restaurants. The food is consistently great too. My personal favorite is the Pollo Tampiqueño, but their Molcajete, fajitas, albondigas, homemade tortillas are all amazing and definitely one of the highlights of the menu. Their signature seafood plates are absolutely worth trying. If you're anywhere near Fillmore, El Pescador is worth the drive. Family owned with great food, great people, great atmosphere, plenty of parking, and the kind of local restaurant that keeps people coming back.

My husband and…read moreI went for lunch during the week, and even though it was pretty busy for a Monday, we were seated right away. Our waiter came over with menus and was very helpful with a few questions that we had. We ordered a Molcagete, which is a lot of food and can definitely be shared with 2-3 people. We also ordered a camarones costa azul plate. Everything was so delicious, but the molcagete was my favorite. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they hand-make their tortillas right there. I loved the warm, hand-made tortillas. I also had a spicy margarita, which was amazing. The restaurant had so much space, a bar area, and can definitely be a great place for large parties. I loved El Pescador, and I can't wait to go back and maybe try their lunch specials.
