Went to eat here last week and the food was horrible. Service was absolutely bad. If I could rate this place 0 stars it definitely would be. I love IHOP and never came to this location in particular but I will never return!! I work In the food industry and I would never let this come out of my kitchen. The worst part is the dining room only had three other guests inside. I really would like a call from the manager this is the worst customer service I've gotten!

This was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. The staff were beyond rude, unapologetically lazy, and completely unprofessional. The workers were unmotivated and clearly didn't care about the business or its customers. We were denied service an hour before closing--despite the sign on the front door clearly stating the restaurant closes at 10 PM. It was a disgrace. And to top it off, the place was disgusting--there was a cockroach near the front door! I'm honestly relieved we didn't eat here because the level of filth and lack of care from the staff makes me wonder how this place is even allowed to stay open. Absolutely revolting and unacceptable!

The senior special. Pancakes were cold. The hash browns were salty.

Wait time was short. Restaurant was clean. Waitress was friendly. There was not many people in the restaurant, our food should have not been cold.

We did a quick stop halfway to our destination for a quick brunch. It seemed like a slow morning as there was only one more group sitting when we got there. My daughter's friends and I were not really hungry so we just decided to share the meals. It took quite a while for the staff to take our order and even longer to attend the counter as I was about to pay for our food. They even forgot my daughter's drink which was actually charged and we had to cancel since we have been done eating. Food was good though, one of the best Ihop food we had. Too bad, service was slow and I felt that they did not pay much attention to our table since we just ordered a tiny amount of food shared by four (not hungry) people.

On 7/18 my husband and I came in and waited for 20 minutes while the people who walked in after us were served. A huge thank you to Yolanda for taking our order. It appeared as if we didn't exist. The window view was beautiful to look out. To the male workers they went to tables and talked to the people, but completely ignored us. The food was delicious and our waitress was more than helpful. Next time we'll somewhere else.

Good service, decent food overall good experience. Early breakfast is the best. Obviously pancakes are delicious.

As far as lunch is concerned- I feel disappointed. There was a picture of the fish tacos on yelp that looked good, so I decided to try them for lunch. It was not at all what was pictured. The fish was so so so dry, large clumps of american cheddar and just not any good flavor. Plus- they were $19. For a $19 quick lunch-I just want to enjoy my meal. I have had better fish tacos at Foster's Freeze, to be honest. I dont imagine myself coming here for lunch again.

We ordered a Two Trees Burger through DoorDash. DoorDash describes it as a **two-patty burger on a…read morebun with cheddar cheese, pickle, onion, lettuce, tomato, and sauce.** We selected to hold the toppings except for the cheddar and pickles. What we received was a **single patty with shredded white cheese and guacamole on sourdough bread.** Not even remotely what we ordered. My husband took it back and was told, "No, this IS the Two Trees Burger." He explained that it was not what we ordered. The server took it back to the cook, who apparently just took the same burger and threw it onto a bun. My husband had to go back in **a THIRD time** and explain again that the order was supposed to be a DOUBLE patty burger on a bun with cheddar and pickles only. The burger went back to the cook again, who scraped off the guacamole, threw some pickles on the bottom, and then tossed the order onto the counter, clearly irritated. At that point, my husband gave up and just took it. I called the restaurant and asked for a manager. I spoke with Junior, who said he was a manager. Before explaining what DoorDash showed, I asked him, "What comes on your Two Trees Burger?" Interestingly, **he described the burger we had initially received**--the single-patty burger with the completely different ingredients. When I explained what DoorDash lists as the Two Trees Burger, his response was, **"We have no control over what DoorDash puts on their site."** That response was probably the most frustrating part of this entire experience. This restaurant has a direct link to DoorDash from its own website (and yelp!) and is accepting and fulfilling orders placed through DoorDash. If your third-party menu is advertising a completely different product under the same name, that is something the restaurant should be concerned about and work to correct--not simply tell a customer it isn't your responsibility. I also explained that the cook seemed irritated when my husband repeatedly tried to get the order corrected. Junior immediately told me that wasn't true and said he was right there when it happened. So instead of listening to a customer who had already received the wrong order and had to make THREE attempts to have it corrected, the response was simply to deny our experience. I even checked the restaurant's own website afterward. The version of the Two Trees Burger that Junior described--and confirmed they serve--isn't even listed on their website. Yet apparently it is different from the Two Trees Burger they are selling through DoorDash under the exact same name. The original mistake could have been resolved easily. What made this a one-star experience was everything that happened afterward: the wrong order, the first "correction" still being wrong, the second "correction" consisting of scraping ingredients off the same burger, the cook's attitude, and finally a manager who took absolutely no responsibility for any part of the experience. We cannot possibly be the first customers to order this burger through DoorDash and receive something completely different from what is advertised. Completely disappointed and dissatisfied. We will not be back. **Buyer beware, especially if ordering this restaurant through DoorDash. Apparently they're happy to accept the orders, but when their DoorDash menu doesn't match what they're actually serving, suddenly it's "DoorDash's" responsibility.** No wonder this place has gone so downhill. FOLLOWING IS MY RESPONSE to the owners reply... I/we never said there was "arguing" or a "REFUSAL to correct." My images clearly show an INACCURATE description. While I can appreciate a business owners attempt to review and resolve a less than stellar review, STILL the actual issue is not resolved and we are being questioned now about whether or not WE even ordered the correct item? No it was never the Smashburger. The gaslighting from the phone call with Junior to the owner/manager response here is, palpable. Pun intended. That's wonderful you're doing so great. I'm happy to have given this platform via my review for you to brag about your business. Cheers indeed. I will continue to brag about the poor encounter myself. Imagine just actually listening and taking the time to read and view the attachments provided.

The food and cocktails were excellent, and it's clear the restaurant is striving to create an elevated dining experience. One thing that stood out was how thoughtful and inventive the menu felt. You can tell the chef has put a lot of creativity and care into the dishes, balancing familiar favorites with unique twists. It's definitely a cool and welcome addition to the Moorpark dining scene. We particularly enjoyed the Tropical Bird, Emma's Punch, Lemon Drop, and Mango Margarita Mocktail. The Crispy Calamari Strips were a great starter. For entrees, we enjoyed the Lamb Ragu, Parmesan Chicken Milanese, and Wild Mushroom Risotto with added chicken. All were all flavorful, beautifully prepared, and well-executed. The servings were huge (awesome!) and we had leftovers to enjoy the following day. The reason for the 4-star rating comes down to service details. While waiting to be acknowledged, we were overlooked by the hostess for other guests entering even though we were standing right in front of the host stand. Not a big deal, but didn't love the eye roll the hostess gave when I politely piped up that we had been waiting. Was not a great first impression. While our server was wonderful and friendly, there were several moments where empty plates and glasses accumulated on our table for an extended period of time. Our entrees arrived while many of our appetizer dishes and drink glasses were still sitting on the table. With several staff members circulating throughout the dining room, it felt like an opportunity was missed to provide the attentive table maintenance you'd expect from a restaurant aspiring to a fine dining level of service. These were relatively minor issues and seem more related to training and coordination than a lack of effort. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all very good, and with a little more polish from the support staff and greeters, I think M on High Street could truly become the upscale dining experience it's aiming to be. We'd definitely return and look forward to seeing it continue to grow.

Would not take order of first round of drinks without looking at our ID's. My wife and I are in our sixties, it was embarrassing because they made a huge production out of it. (No other patrons that I saw were subject to this scrutiny) The Ugly: we each had one drink and shared two yellow tail sashimi starters. Upon asking for another round we were rather surprised to find out our party was cut off from the bar. Water and bread only. The sashimi eaten we took the indignation in stride and decided to wait until the barmaid deemed it acceptable to serve us again. Now it gets bad, one of our party became ill and threw up in the bathroom, before we could even find out what was going on with her, barmaid from hell publicly informed us because one of our party was ill we were permanently cut off from the bar. Not considering the food as the culprit of said illness at all. My wife began to feel sick as well and we paid and left. She had trouble walking, speaking and breathing. I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.
