I go to this Vallarta Grocery store at least once a week. Everyone is super nice, friendly and always helpful. Except for this one particular employee " CHASTITY"who says she's a manager. What manager doesn't know store policy's and procedures. She's very rude, disrespectful and needs more training in being a manager. When a customer inquires about an item in the store, you don't jump in their face yelling and then proceed to follow them in the store. When they ask to speak to another manager. This is no way to run a business. TRAIN HER OR REMOVE HER. She's making the rest of the employees look bad. read more

However, On a subsequent visit, I purchased a few Sushi items... I was surprised to find out that the complimentary Ginger in all the items purchased was not pickled, which was rather disappointing, and tarnished the experience. That final score sports fans... Stopped at Vallarta market to get a juice because I am doing a modified fast for labs coming up tomorrow. It's wonderful to get a Juice from Vallarta as it's super convenient. I got a medium size Juice with orange as the base along with cucumber, spinach andpineapple added. The wait was about 10 minutes before it was finished. Wow it is like the Disneyland of Hispanic foods in here! This store opened at the old Albertson's in Carson. Unlike Albertsons, the place is PACKED. Like plan not to have a parking spot or spend a few minutes trying to find parking. People were parking on the parking lot wall and making their own parking! Although this is considered a Hispanic market, they also offer regular grocery items. The produce and meats are very fresh! Reasonable prices! The highlight of this market is the fresh bars of food. They have ceviche, tortillas, cooked meats, tamales, baked goods, a juice bar, a paletta bar, a fresh guacamole made to order, salsas. Everything is very clean and labeled. This is a new Hispanic marketplace that opened up in the previous Albertsons location in Carson. The market is very clean and organized with many aisles to get lost in. Be careful to not come here hungry as you might buy everything in the store. In addition to the market, there's an eating area with items to choose from the hot meals area, a juice bar, and a bakery. This place is pretty fantastic and is one really nice supermarket. The fresh fruit stand is great and the bakery even better. Was in buying a chicken one night and watched a girl dump a load of bollios into the bin and went a grabbed about 4 still warm from the oven. What I don't like about this place is the chickens in the hot food section. I was buying about 1 a week both the rotisserie and grilled but have stopped because as convenient as it is I can't stand eating them anymore because they are so over salted. Like uneatable. They use a rub that has a bunch of stuff in it but the main ingredient seems to be salt and lots of it so for the time being I'm out. I had a terrible experience at Vallarta supermarket in Carson. I went to Vallart for protein. The service was great at the meat deli. When I went to the cash register the lady by the name Adriana was extremely rude. She was upset because one of the of bar codes wasn't reading the price and she wanted me to leave my protein. The protein is the only reason I went to the store. She got even more upset because she had to call a manager to punch in the price. She was giving me dirty looks and after the transaction screamed Thank you as she rolled her eyes. I've never been treated so awful. I never want to go back to this store again. This place is just so inviting and bright! The staff are extremely friendly and love the music they play throughout the place. I feel this place has just about everything you could want and it all seems so fresh. So many fresh food stations from the fruit section, meat, seafood, tortillas, agua frescas, bakery, and guacamole! You literally can get all of these things prepared fresh for you. Disorganized food court with long wait times- hopefully things will get dialed-in with more experience It was my first time visiting the new Vallarta with my girlfriend. We didn't plan on grocery shopping, and only wanted to get an agua fresca and eat at the food court. The ambiance was really nice and colorful. The experience lessened once we ordered at the food court. We ordered under the "Order here" sign 2x carnitas plates (comes with carnitas, tortilla, beans, and rice) and an 8 piece fried chicken for later. We received the chicken immediately and was told the counters closer to the bathroom would call our order number when our order was ready. We decided to grab our agua frescas at the other counter in the meantime. When we came back, our simple order was not ready. There was a growing line of people crowding around the tamale stand frantically checking their receipt while watching the four workers preparing meals behind the counter. I talked with a few people also waiting to ask how long they've been waiting. The answers varied between 30-45 minutes. After observing for a bit, we noticed that the workers skipped over 10 people's orders and were doing the newer orders. A few people got visibly mad and started yelling at the people on the counters. I'm not confrontational, so here is my Yelp review lol. We ended up getting our order after 40 minutes. It was okay. Fair priced but not worth the wait. I saw only two women and about 10 hairy men. I ordered a burrito de Chicharrón and the guy who made it rolled my burrito into a square...and no cilantro or onion in it..just beans&rice. Come on man, women know how to serve without having to ask. And men are less coordinated in the kitchen, they were all bumping into each other and they had about 10 order sitting on the top shelf...getting cold. And not knowing the number to the order...smh. Until I see women serving the food I will return.
