Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante en Vallarta Supermarkets el 15 de abril alrededor de las 7:30 AM en el área del deli donde cortan el jamón y el queso. Le pedí a la empleada jamón y le señalé el que quería porque no estaba segura si era jamón de puerco o de pavo. En lugar de ayudarme, la empleada seguía preguntando "¿cuál quiere?" en un tono muy grosero y molesto. Yo seguía señalando el que quería, pero ella hizo una cara de molestia y claramente se veía irritada por mi pregunta. Los clientes no deberían ser tratados así por hacer una pregunta simple. Yo no trabajo ahí y no tengo por qué saber el nombre exacto de cada producto. Un poco de paciencia y buen servicio al cliente es lo mínimo que se espera. Love this Vallarta always clean and organized. Normally I like the morning time on Sundays . Bolillo ,ceviche ,Asada ,tortillas and the veggies are always fresh . You can do self serve with none alcoholic transactions. There's always 4or more registers open. read more

This is my closest Vallarta location to me, this is my spot when I need masa for tamales or to make fresh tortillas at home, Rosca de Reyes, Mexican treats, ingredients for a good miche.... Basically anything I need for traditional Mexican cooking or botanas! They have a huge parking lot, so that's convenient. The store is always kept very clean and employees are always helpful and polite. They also have a pretty good selection of tequilas available- but make sure you get in line and then ask for help at the alcohol section at the front, they will make you get in line if you just go up to the glass case and ask for a bottle. So, great selection of anything you might need for your Latin dishes. Yup, I'll keep visiting this location! read more

The absolute worst Menudo I've ever eaten. It's not even like I'm any kind of picky eater. Because it's raining I asked my wife to pick me up some menudo. First sign of trouble is when she says, "it doesn't even have any hominy!" I'm like, no way, that's crazy!" Then I take a look at the actual container of menudo. She says that it's the large size and it was $12.99. WHAT?! OK, prices have been stupid, but it's not the first time I've noticed that Vallarta's prices seem higher than other stores. I actually thought about taking it back, but ended up driving over to another local store to buy a can of hominy, hoping to salvage my vision of a nice hot bowl of menudo on a rainy day. Again, not a picky eater but it was absolutely the worst menu do I have ever eaten. Couldn't even eat the meat. It wasn't even fully cooked. No hominy. Gross meat. $12.99. Gross! Ended up driving back to my local store and bought a can of me upon. The menu do out of the can was 10X's better than Vallarta's. Wow!! Do not recommend!! What a shame! Unbelievable. read more

Be careful buying chicken here. This is the 3rd time i get a batch of chicken that's smelly and rotten. Will not be coming back.

Ok so I'll get to the point I suppose. The food here is mediocre....... That's not why I'm posting this The service at the "kitchen" is poor. Almost disrespectful. Ordered food and as I'm paying for the food at the cashier I ask to please set it to eat here. The cashier tells me to tell the food prep.. the food prep ignored me several times. Once my ticket number was up she had the food in to go containers. I asked for salsa she said to wait .... I sat there for 2 minutes while my food was already set. I decided to come eat and give her a couple of minutes because she was busy. I come back later and another person behind the counter asked if I needed anything....( he saw me before) I said yes. May I please get a salsa. He reacciones under the counter and handed it to me. ..... it was that simple. I understand people are tired sometimes or are not working in good environments. Great service provided at the deli counter. I had to place a large order for rotisserie chicken for a luncheon. I was worried, since I came in the afternoon around 2:30 pm on 5/21 and needed the order by 5/22. The ladies were so friendly and helpful. They simply asked how early do you need it? I said the earliest possible and they calmly said 8:30 am? I was so shocked and happy I placed the order and as promised when I walked in around 9 am, my order was already packed, prepared, and ready to go! The chicken was warm and delicious. We love the seasoning and flavor of your rotisserie chicken; moist and tender. Thank you for your support and all enjoyed it! We will definitely be back to order again soon. Previous orders for lunch such as your soups (chicken, beef and abondiga), veggie/fruit smoothies and desserts from the bakery area have all been enjoyed. I am so disappointed. My oven went out a few weeks ago and I stressed over having Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Then I saw an advertisement at Vallarta to pre-order a FULLY cooked Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings, I was extremely relieved. I even asked the lady at La Cocina if it was all fully cooked and ready to serve, she replied with, "yes it is!". I pre-ordered 2 (two) family meals. When I picked it up, I was surprised to what I saw. Two fully cooked FROZEN turkeys that needed to be cooked in the over for 1 1/2 hours each. Again, I don't have a functioning oven. I started crying, the woman was nice and agreed that it should've specified in the advertisement how the food was being purchased. She offered to get the manager for a possible refund but I was so shaken up that I left. My Thanksgiving this year is now a horrible experience and it hasn't even began. read more

Authentic and Affordable Hispanic food. This store just had a facelift and what a difference. I love the new signs they put up. Bold, hip and refreshing new look. Oh so much to check out. I love their carne asada is the best, well seasoned, tender and always tasted like the last time you had it. So many things to try, produce are fresh and even have an "organic" section. The bakery always gets me. The smell of freshly baked "bollilos" bread is homey. I had the camarron (shrimp) coctel and ceviche. Fresh and tasty. One of my favorite supermarkets ever. It doesn't matter what time of day or week you visit the store--you'll always come across the freshest produce, beautifully aligned and filled to the brim in every area. The meat is great quality and the cheese selection is fantastic. They even offer samples! This place is a dream. Also became happy to know that they sell Golden Road Mango Cart beers among other independent beers. Not to mention, their service is always friendly and helpful. I wish i had good things to say about this vallarta but i have to give them 3 stars because of their service. Every single time i come the cashiers are rude or not friendly. The worst workers are in the bakery though, they are always the rudest, especially when the bolillos come out. There is a parking lot available as well as street parking.
