Terrible customer service and ignored instructions. We ordered two Western Burgers and sweet potato fries through Uber Eats. We requested no grilled onions and no raw onions, even adding a note: "Please, no onions on anything." What we got were burgers with onion rings on them, and to make matters worse, we both got ill from the food. Here is the best part: I called tonight to speak with a manager, and Mark got on the phone. I asked about the order, and his first response was, "Why would you order the Western if you wanted no onions?" I explained that the app only shows a picture with no description of the item, yet we clearly asked for no onions. Then I let him know we both got sick. He gave absolutely no apology. Instead, he just defended the restaurant, saying their sauces and meat are fresh and that no one else had called to complain. Here is the kicker: he then said if we order again, we should mention his name and we might get a discount. I then asked for the owner's information, and he said I could write to valleyburgerbar@gmail.com and the owner "might" see it. Never an apology, never ownership of their mistakes. Wow what a great experience here. We came for dinner on Sunday around 6 and were pleasantly surprised at the changes (I think it was orange delight before!). The food is good for a kosher spot. I have been coming 3 times a month or more since they opened. However, today I interacted with the young female manager who works on Sundays. I tried to order chicken tenders for my 3 year old son but got their version of schinzel. While at the store i nicely explained this is not what I ordered. She said i miss spoke despite having explained exactly what I needed over the phone. I was driving with a 3 year old in back and could not have their menu memorized. She refused to exchange it for the right order or even apologize. As someone who orders here weekly i will never order again or have my extended family order solely for how crude this manager was. This has replaced orange Delite. Some menu options are the same but the layout and service is very different. You now walk in and order at the counter. The menu is on the wall. The food is really good. Again, mostly things are the same with new twists on things. Definitely pricy but nothing crazy. I ordered online to have food delivered. I called them directly after a considerable time had passed to find out where my food was. They then told me I scheduled my order for pickup. I asked for them to correct this as I was pretty confident I asked for the food to be delivered. They told me I would need to speak with a manager. I agreed and asked to speak with the manager. They put me on hold for 5 minutes and when they returned they told me the manager is in a meeting. At dinner time the manager is in a meeting? Kinda strange. I decided to call back in 10 minutes or so. when I did the manager was still in a meeting. They took my contact information but I never got a phone call back. First off, My review is for the sake of helping management see this and take appropriate action before they are forced to close their doors for people not wanting to come back. I am already skeptical considering all the negative reviews and no response yet from management. Anyway, I and my family are Very disappointed by the quality of Burger Bar. I loved Orange Delight and was sad it went out of business. But my family and I were craving a good burger, so we said let's give it a try. The quality was very underwhelming. For the price these burgers and all the food should be top notch. The burger itself was small and bland. The bun was flaky and thin. The lettuce was watery and all the topping were so chopped they made the burger fall apart. The fries are obviously pre frozen. For the love of all burger restaurants including this one, USE HOUSE CUT FRIES! The steak from the plate was bleh. And worst of all the Tahin is a 2 out of 10 at best. My aim isn't to trash this place as I'm sure some others will have a better opinion. But my standards for a good burger go beyond something that tastes and looks like something you would get at fast food. Hopefully they improve their ways. I have never tried the location on Pico, but if it's the same quality then I will never understand how kosher foodies would ever want a burger like this at such a price.
