From the moment I made the call until the work was completed and they walked out the door, I could not be more satisfied with the way this work proceeded. What a great job Chris and his sideman did! From sealing things off, to laying out traps, taking the chimney cap off, the scrub down, and the final clean up, $159.00 was a bargain for a professional 2-man crew working from both the top and the bottom. Even the communication was excellent, the phone call before coming, the scheduling, etc. Apparently they even do the electrical for gas inserts, too! Would not hesitate to use this company again... I have an older wood burning fireplace, no gas, no insert, just glass doors, and a screen. I was very pleased with the service I received. One man was on the roof and the other at the fireplace. They placed covering over the area, and after they cleaned the chimney, they cleaned the entire fireplace, and they even cleaned the glass doors. Even the brick around the fireplace was cleaned. I have called 6 times and left messages for an appointment 4 times without response. No one has ever answered the phone. Based on other reviews, it appears they are still in business. 20 minutes of vacuuming equals $500??? Sure, I live in Coalinga, and sure, this was the first chimney sweep for our home. HOWEVER, Greg and Chris showed up at 7am as scheduled, and were DONE at 7:15am. Used a shop vac to vacuum the fireplace and removed a couple brick facing pieces. All for a mere $500!! I have never been so shook. Want to know the best part...they prefer CASH to check or card. And they asked that my check be written to an individual, not the company. Definitely got scammed on this transaction...very disappointed as Central Distributing recommended them. Shameful!!!! read more

Greg took a picture of the log arrangement, removed the logs, covered everything else so no soot allowed into fireplace base. I wish I could give you guys no stars, because of the lack on honesty between VCP and the customer (me). Was getting my chimney ready for a gas insert, Valley chimney sweep employee stated he could shorten the gas line properly and make sure it's ready so when the chimney insert people came to install the insert they could just attach. Chimney insert people came and said not only was pipe wrong size it was shorter then it should be. Valley chimney sweep employee lied to me and said everything would be fine. When I called for an explanation, employee was very dismissive of the issue even though he caused it. Now it's costing me more time AND money. Would not recommend a business who screws you and takes your money. read more

Called on a Wednesday in preparation for putting in a gas insert, Justin from Valley Chimney Sweep came out the following Sunday, showed up early, finished in less than 45 minutes. Our chimney probably hasn't been "swept" since the house was built over 40 years ago, and now it looks as good as new. Justin was professional, cordial, and a pleasure to chat with while he did his work. Amazing service. I am super picky about who comes into my house to do work and these guys were top notch. Early and fast! No mess left in my home! I had friends in town staying at an airbnb who were upset I scheduled this service during their visit but truth be told my chimney was cleaned before they were even awake! I was incredibly pleased. I called four different places and they called back right away with a firm date and time of when they could come out. A lot of the others either weren't as prompt in returning the call in having quick availability. They charge reasonably for an inspection fee and if it has to be cleaned you don't pay the inspection fee but rather the price for the cleaning. He came out early, did the work promptly, and there was no mess. Afterwards he explained everything he did and there were no hidden fees. Very nice and professional.
