We called Mike's Mobile on Monday, 12/20/21 to schedule a service call on our inoperative gas fireplace. We got an appointment for January 5, 2022, but needed it sooner because we were selling the house. They said there was nothing then but they would call me if there was a cancellation. Luck was with us as the next morning they called me and said a technician would be in our area the next day between 7:30 and 9:30 AM if we were available. We were! Wednesday morning the technician, Kevin Avery, showed up and began working on the fireplace. He proceeded to thoroughly inspect, test, and disassemble it to look at every component to determine why it was not working. While he worked, Kevin used a drop cloth to ensure no dirt or debris fell on the floor and carpet. He vacuumed everything as he removed it from the firebox. After working a couple of hours, Kevin gave us a complete report, including photos of his findings and how much it would cost to get the fireplace working again. (It had not worked for at least 9 years.) Kevin was very thorough and professional from the moment he arrived at our door. It was obvious he loved what he was doing. His personality was cheerful, courteous, and friendly. We look forward to seeing him again to install the new parts in our fireplace in January. Thanks to Mike's Mobile for a job well done! 6/1/2023, Ross showed up on time at 0730, was all business relating to his work, was 100% focused on his install, needs to revisit educational coursework relating to public graces or cordiality, but he installed an exceptional metal ornamental security gate that we are ecstatic about !!! Several weeks prior to install day, I contacted owner Shannon Holt requesting a few snapshots of the security gate while it was being manufactured. I received an E-mail reply from her that she would look into it but she corn flaked. I believe purchasing a $4K security gate deserves a few construction courtesy photos from this business but they do not. Not to impune their business. The color of the metal is so pretty and the screen I got is black and you can't tell that it's steel from a distance and the door has a lot of charm. You won't be disappointed. I was told to come out and look at it would cost me $339 to even come out to look at it! What a rip off! I would not recommend this company to anybody. I love leaving my front door open and getting the breeze in the evening but my old security screen had gaps that let in flies. Plus it was all rusty and just looked like junk. I went to the box stores and didn't find anything better and I happened to see my neighbor had a really cool security door so I stopped and asked and they recommended Mike's Mobile. I requested a quote, which was very reasonable, and from there, we made an appointment and everything went great! Tim came out and went over all the options with me and I ended up going with the super plain door, the viewguard. The door took about a month to get in but it fits perfect! No gaps! I LOVE it! It has a really plain mesh and looks like a normal screen door but you can tell the stainless steel mesh is super strong.
