My dermatologist is in this office and it's shared with urgent care. Urgent-care patients sit on one side and the healthy-dermo patients wait on the other side. Often urgent care patients are not wearing a mask and coughing all over or even vomiting... bathrooms are right by the dermo patient seating so its 'lovely'.... I don't understand why they aren't doing what some of the other clinics do and sending dermo patients to their room after check in to minimize illness spreading? Seems kind of obvious. read more

I would give them zero stars. They don't care about patients. They care about booking secondary appointments to make more $$. Our son went here for his physical and they identified that he had a staff infection, but refused to write a prescription because that's not part of the physical. Sent him home and said book another appointment. The UW medicine decline that we have dealt with in disgust over the last couple is no longer acceptable . At least it's open enrollment and maybe we can choose a medical coverage that is outside of UW that isn't subpar third world medical treatment. read more

Here I sit, on the phone to inquire about something basic (but important) and have been waiting for someone to answer for 20 minutes so far. TWENTY minutes. It will be another 20 minutes for all I know. How in the world are you unable to answer the phone for 20 minutes? For an "urgent" care, they don't seem to have much urgency. Update: still waiting. Currently at 46 minutes. Update 2: An hour in and I'm giving up. If I hear "someone will be with you shortly" again, I'm going to lose my mind. DAUGHTER COULD'VE DIED! This place sucks. Daughter had been ill so brought her in and I thought it was an ear infection. They said her ears "look great." Woke up the next morning to puss coming out of her ear and her screaming. Ear infection doesn't onset that rapidly. We had even got a second opinion by bringing her back in there to re-check cuz her temp was 103! Whatever they use said 99 until my wife made them check under the arm. We brought her to indigo in Covington and got the diagnosis of ear infection and medicine she needed to start getting better. My wife isn't a doctor and knows more than this sham of a UW medical institute. Id sue for malpractice if I had the money to do so. Avoid this place. They are a disgrace to UW medicine. read more

So I'm visiting the stunning PNW and end up needing an urgent care. I wish I could say it was due to something really cool like an Orca bite, or a tussle with a bald eagle. (but it wasn't, it was for something really lame.) I Yelped the closest place and had my fingers crossed that they were open on July 4th. Yup, my luck, urgent care when I'm trying to celebrate my nations independence. I walked in and was able to get signed in right away. They took my out of state insurance and were as friendly as could be. I think I waited maybe 5-10 minutes at the most before they took me back to a room. The doctor was in probably 15 or so minutes after that. Very courteous, very thorough, and efficient. They sent a prescription to the local store and sent me on my way. I believe I was out within an hour total of the time I pulled into the parking lot. Not too shabby UW Med!! Thanks for taking care of a San Diegan!! read more

All I can say is, "WOW!" I don't normally write reviews for medical offices but I must to tell others of our great services last night. Our first point of contact was the kind and welcoming Cassie at the front desk! She had a big smile and was knowledgeable and sweet. Next, we met the fabulous Maddie MA. She was patient, kind and overall just plain awesome. Lastly, we met Audra Burdulis- PA. she instantly connected with my teenager and made her feel comfortable and kept her laughing. Audra was so cool that the friend that tagged along to my teen's appointment wanted to hang out with her! All three of these wonderful people made our experience at UW VMC Urgent Care memorable. I hate to write a bad review because 90% of the time they've been great, but I had such a horrible visit yesterday, it's 2:30am and I'm in tears thinking about it. At an early age, back in my country I was diagnosed with Crohn's but that was a while ago and I have no idea how to get those records. I have lived my entire life with it and it was pretty manageable until recently when the flare-ups became debilitating and I started looking for answers. I'm in pain and exhausted from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to sleep and all UW has on my chart is "chronic abdominal pain" but because there's a record that I saw a PCP for something unrelated he refused to refer me to anyone who could test me further. When earlier this week I was told I just needed to come in and be seeing for them to refer me to their gastroenterology department ($$$$) I was literally bent in half with pain in the examination room and I told Dr. Russell I had lived with Crohn's my entire life and I was getting so much worse and to please help me. He had the audacity to scoff and say "diverticulitis maybe..." yes, Dr. Russell, you know better than me what I have had my entire life. What a pathetic way to treat of course, a female patient complaining of abdominal pain. Take your patients seriously! It takes a tremendous amount of effort for some of us to ask for help because we're tired of being dismissed and treated like this. I'm sorry the diagnose is not on my chart but I know what I have and I need help as it progresses. Enough with the gender bias in the medical field! Needless to say, I won't go back to a place that doesn't listen to me and doesn't take my pain and health seriously. I hope you never experience any bias as a black man yourself when you're not at the clinic wearing your uniform. How unfair would it be if someone discriminated against just because of the color of your skin...almost as unfair as being ignored by doctors for being a woman in pain. This look of the facility, the registration staff (especially Kari) , and my provider Crystal were amazing! Everyone was friendly and courteous from the moment I arrived. The worst urgent care I have visited in my life. I have visited them several times. There is no concept of care. Not a single problem was correctly diagnosed and they offer no recovery suggestions. The concept is to generate revenue for affliated medical facilities. They recommended surgery on my foot and recommended I go to a foot doctor. When I saw a doctor that they did not recommend; he fixed the issue in 30 minutes. Glad I did not take their advice. Their billing department is atrocious. You have stay on the phone very long. Online account requires separate registration and a code to activate online access mailed to you in 10 business days (are these guys in the 21st century?) There are other urgent cares in the area that they will serve you better. Stay away from these people. Your health is not worth risking. read more

Turned me away, an asthmatic with bronchitis. I showed up at 7:10 p.m. wheezing, coughing, and hoarse--all very obvious during my check-in discussion. They told me they wouldn't see me--too busy. Note: Website advises that if you walk in after 7:30 p.m., you may not be seen depending on capacity. Their posted hours state they close at 8. This is the review for the regular doctors not the urgent care. We love our PA, she's great and the ladies at the front desk are usually nice and quick to answer additional questions. If I need to be contacted by my doctor about appointment or question I asked when I was setting up an appointment they can make the call back quickly (same day) or a little slower 24-48 hours later. Overall pleased with the office. Urgent care: The urgent care has been a regularly good visits as we check in online the few times we've had to make an urgent care visit. The doctors have all been nice and knowledgeable. It's our go to if there's something we think doesn't need an ER visit or we can't wait for a doctors appointment. read more

Great location, great staff, great service. I have been seeing Dr. Markegard for years and have always had fantastic experiences with her. Sadly though, you cannot see her, as she is not accepting new patients. I have seen other doctors within this facility and they have been just as good as her. Pretty large location, basically in the Fred Meyer parking lot. Very open, bright, and clean. Lots of seating and things for the kids to do. The front desk ladies are always friendly, making small talk while they prepare your paperwork. The nurses are quick and efficient; friendly as well. Was trying to find a doctor closer to where I live as this is a bit of a drive, but I have not found any other UW Medical location that treats me as well as this place does. Dr. Markegard will always have my business for as long as she is in the medical field. read more

Went in to have an important RX for my daughter changed (her primary care PA is here but on maternity leave - her history is very much accessible) and she was sent home with instructions to drink a glass of warm milk before bed. This place is a sad excuse for a Medical Clinic. I moved here in Nov.2020 every time I go in there If they're lucky they might have two people waiting. Yet this is one for the SLOWEST places I have been in my 46 years! Including the times I have been on State aide. I called twice both times the recording " 20-30 minute hold time or you can get a call back". I went for the call back, supposedly within 20-30 minutes no call so I call back a third time, same thing 20-30 minute hold time. This time I decide to wait, 10mintues into it I decide forget it! And Just go to Urgent Care. Later that evening I call for the after hours service to have a DR call me because I'm not doing any better, she said she would page them and someone should call me soon. NO call!!! I call the office the next morning, 20-30 min hold time again!! Ridiculous! The Dr.'s office I saw before had saw at the very least twice the patients this place has and I have NEVER been treated like this. read more

Yesterday my temporary cast became water logged after taking a shower. I visited Urgent care to have my soggy cast removed and replaced. After the removal Dr. Welsh became concerned over the deep redness surrounding my two incisions. Taking initiative he prescribed antibiotics as a precautionary measure. Dr. Welsh's proficient staff continued to rebuild my cast then sent me on my way. Urgent care is very clean with easy access to rooms for people in a wheel chair. All the staff is warm, friendly and timely. I definitely felt better as I left than when I arrived. Harold Johnson read more

I can NOT sing enough LOVE AND PRAISE for this location. I have been both a patient in their Urgent Care side as well as now establishing my patient care with Dr. Aaron Von Krueger I think is how his name is spelled! They all are truly so amazing and considerate! My life, was changed when I moved back to the mainland and found him as a primary care doctor. His ability to listen, take into account my care and also facilitate it has proven to be THE BEST! I am so glad a facility / medical care is offered so close in Maple Valley. The front desk is always so kind and truly is welcoming. The woman who does all their blood draw, or blood work is always so smiley and positive! I recommend these offices and look forward to continue my relationship in their offices, as a patient as long as I can! read more

Extremely disappointed with this facility. I had an issue with my ear over Memorial Day weekend. My ENT was closed so I chose to come here for immediate care. The "doctor" I saw never looked me once in the eye, nor did he respond to any of my questions or concerns. He simply took a look at my ear, then retreated to his computer and started typing. He literally interrupted me to tell me what he expected it to be. I questioned his diagnosis and asked for clarification. He simply replied "I've seen this a millions times". He prescribed me a medication that cost me $85 out of pocket, then sent me a $335 bill. Upon seeing my ENT 3 days later, the ENT told me the "doctors" diagnosis was completely incorrect and to immediately stop using the medication he prescribed (in fact I was told to discard it). When I brought this up to the billing department they sided with the "doctor" and told me my bill was past due and being ready to be sent to collections. Funny part, that doctor is no longer with Valley. What a joke! I paid there bill and have never used a Valley facility since. We had 2 of our kids at Valley but in August we chose a different hospital for our 3rd. read more

Went to this urgent care after getting a great recommendation from my daughter-in-law. We were not disappointed. We went first thing in the morning and didn't have to wait long. The doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. We were out of the office in less than an hour. This is a new facility and very clean. I hope I never have an emergency again, but if I do, I will defiantly be back. Great experience! read more

A little hard to get into the parking lot; you have to be coming from the south side to enter, but there is plenty of parking. I have enjoyed my doctor at the medical center, but the billing department is horrible to work with. On multiple occasions, my annual physical has been billed incorrectly. There is a big difference in cost when the billing is incorrect. Over a recent claim, I spoke to two different individuals, they first was not helpful, and the second was rude and condescending. The final conclusion: I must write a letter of dispute. Really? They billed it incorrectly and I have to write a letter to get it resolved. A simple phone call should have been sufficient. A quick resolution, from a kind, understanding individual and I would have been a satisfied patient. Now, I have had enough. I will find another doctor. read more

Literally probably the worst doctor experience we have ever had. My first experience was bringing my fiancé her. She'd been sick a few weeks and just kept getting worse, the first visit she was told basically she had a cold, a few days later she came back feeling worse and got cough medicine, third time (one week after the first visit) went elsewhere and found out she had pneumonia. Not biggie, people make mistakes, and they all seem nice and they're quick so we gave them another shot about a year later for another issue. The doctor literally made no physical contact during the exam before referring us out stating "I can do the procedure if you want but not before a course of antibiotics". Fast forward we come back right after the antibiotics are taken (about two weeks later), and we're told they won't do the procedure (they did keep our copay though!). Not understanding why we were told only two weeks ago it was no problem. These doctors don't want to actually DO anything. This is like fast food doctor care and we won't be back. Don't be fooled by their quick service, there's a reason they have no patients. read more
