This review is only for the lab. My primary care doctor Moon was great! My veins are small and I always request for the "butterfly needle size " - typically used for kids, when I need to get blood drawn. The person who was supposed to draw my blood kept missing my veins. After getting pricked a couple times and have her move the needle around my arm, and no blood was drawn, I had to stop. I was in pain and felt noxious from the thought of the needle moving around in my arm. It was very apparent she needed more training and was her Guinea pig. So, I decided to stop and not get my blood drawn there. After reading other reviews, I see a pattern. Will not come back here again and go somewhere else. My mom had been seeing Dr. Yin Aye at this location, and we have an extremely unpleasant experience with her. First of all, she speaks to her patients like the police is chasing her on the freeway. She overloads us with information and speaks so fast that we can't even understand what she is saying, and we speak English fluently. Second, we believe that she schedules extra appointments on purpose. She does not give good reasons as to why certain referrals, tests, etc... are ordered. A couple of times, the doctors that we have been referred to even questioned why my mom was even referred to their specialties! read more

I had the most pleasant of experiences here... I took my booster or should I say "Third Shot" Had no issues since the time I entered. Made an appointment on-line, showed up, parked and went in. Only got easier from here. The gent at the entrance asked me if I had an appointment, checked my temperature and directed me to the third floor. From my experience I'd say the staff are seasoned battle hardened COVID-19 veterans. The entire visit was seamless; they got the process down! In and out without a fuss, in no time at all. The nurse took my vax card, checked the information, informed me about the process; what vaccine I was getting and even showed me the dose before administering it. I juse went to get the allergy test and she and she( both) talk talk talk talk but they get upset and annoyed f you want to ask a question or mentioned aomwgnimg elese relative to the allergy problem. they are jay catt doctors there in milpitas. they freakin sing and hum right there in front of you and they think that they are invisible. it like you see their face and their script and hand movement when you look right accross the street. they only make their own family better and never help a person who is actually in need as patients. they dont have manners and are not polite at all. always showing an attitude in line. almost doing a fashion show infront of you. they count everybody as ssi quantity. prescribe "bundle" fought god know what medications that doesnt work. i would highly SUGGEST ANOTHER CLINIC OTHER THAN MILPITAS. read more

I have to say one of the worst medical services I have come across and I was not even fortunate to visit it. Impressive facility and they list every possible service/care and I wonder why. They need to get a phone that works, call their number and you will be on hold forever because "all our operators are helping other customer" trust me, you will be never be the other customer unless you call at 8:30. It looks like they entertain only one call a day. After being hold for an average 45 minutes thrice, I actually walked up to them to get an appointment. I was told by very helpful person that since I am a new patient, my only hope is calling 8:30 in the morning a because of Covid blah blah..seriously?? I did call at 8:30 and I did mange to get an operator, who tried her best to help me. I had a very simple request, schedule an annual physical with my PCP. Apparently due to CoVID they can't have first time patient come in person and it has to be on telephone. I am vaccinated, does that make a difference? No. I can get proof that I don't have covid, will that work? No. Is this policy state mandated? No. So, this policy is only for SCVMC specific. And this is ridiculous. My story doesn't end there, I asked her how will you bill me? will it be a Teledoc or primary Care or will that be considered as Annual Physical (on hold, again, to consult with supervisor). I was told I have to call my Insurance to figure that out. Excuse me? You will be the one creating the bill isn't it and you don't have even an idea about what you will me bill for? Health sector is in shambles today and thanks for your efforts in adding more chaos. Sorry but you are playing games under the name of COVID, fix your phone and fix your system. read more

The receptionist and the doctor were really nice, and I was very happy to be there. Today I received the bill, but there is no information for online payment. So I called the number on the bill at 10:30am today, and ask if I have to mail my credit card information. Clearly the lady who got my call wasn't happy about my question. She answered and just hang up. It's your job to answer nicely. You're getting paid because of it. Think about it again. And I don't think I'll go back for annual check up next year if I have to go to post office to settle the payment. It's 21st century! read more

Don't go!!!!!!! Over changed and awful services! I got stuck with them and ended up paying a lot more than I expected. I was just going there to do my annual preventive care, and the doctor over there was trying to lure me to do some tests that are not under the "preventive" category. And the moment, I was too naive just answering whatever questions the doctor asked me. Then I got an over 200 dollar billing for that conversation, no test being conducted!!! Then I try to call their billing team to understand why I need to pay so much for a preventive appointment, after a few minutes of conversation. The customer service decides to hang up on me without saying anything, just cut me right in the middle of my sentence. I wasn't being rude at all, however, they are rude for sure!!! Once saw Dr. Yin Aye she was not helpful at all. Did not address in solving the health problems had. Pinpicks the patient and makes feel dumb and uncomfortable. Was not patient. Acted rude, lazy, and discouraging comparable to meeting salesman at a car dealership. Valley Med is supposed to help the needy but somehow they gave the needy this type of attitude as if they don't care and are always looking for the shortest easiest path. I have been coming to the Milpitas clinic for 5 year now. I have mostly been seen by NP Watson or Dr. Dozier and I am beyond grateful to them. I have been to other clinics within the Valley Medical system and out-of-network as well and have always left their offices feeling neglected. When I first came here, I had a list of problems and NP Watson helped me go down the list one at a time. She handles my referrals within 2 days, medications are ready to go that same-day, and she follows-up with blood test results within 2 days (3 during weekends). I am blessed to have found such a wonderful person to help me. Receptionists can sometimes have an attitude especially those who are new or who have transferred there or are covering for someone. I have been taking my brother with Watson as well, and by now everyone knows who we are. I am listed as his Proxy and there is a letter in his file stating I have full right for his medical decisions. However, these new girls always give us a hard time and have gotten to the point of turning us away. I always have to tell them where to look or who to talk to to find the information in the system. Nurses in the back are awesome! Watson usually has one male nurse on her team and he is amazing and very sweet. There are two other nurses, female with red-hair and a petite female with long-lashes. They are amazing too! Now, wait times. I always get called into the room within 5 minutes of my appointment time and get seen within 5-10 minutes of being in the room. Appointments are usually 15-30 mins. based on reason, but mine always go over. On a few occasions, I have waited longer because Watson had a critical patient and fell behind, but I don't mind. I would want her individual attention if I was in their place as I have been the one to take up 3 appointment slots in the past. I have also had to be in there for more than 1 hour, but that was because Watson would not let me go until she spoke directly to a specialist (dermatologist, neurologist, etc.) and make sure I was safe with whatever medical issue I had. If you want someone who deeply cares for their patients, NP Watson, Dr. Dozier and Dr. Hui are the go-to Drs! read more

I requested 3 months supply of eye drops for my dad for high eye pressure. He have 6 refills left . All other medications and other drops they issued but for Latanoprost and Timolol Manalina by error requested two months supply only . When I asked her can she fix it she said insurance is not going to authorize because we can ask to override only once . I told her it was not my mistake clearly I asked for 3 months she said all she could do it's I could pay over $100 for drops . We were traveling next day and I told her can she call who ever she called for 2 months supply only . She didn't want to, Jen Lu came very argumentative not even allowing me to explain that I requested 3 months supply which she could see by all other medicine which I received for diabetes and nothing was a problem she just continued to argue how theirs nothing they could do other to cancel all order and that I need to give her back drops she gave me and maybe they will authorized for 3 months . I have been here before for a vaccine, but not in the pharmacy. The previous time was fine, no problems and went pretty quickly. This time I went here for a vaccination in the pharmacy so the review is for that. After i checked in i waited quite a while to receive the shot even though there was no one else there getting one. Finally a lady came out, no verbal greetings, just gesturing to go into the privacy booth. Asked me to verify my personal info and gestured where she will give me the shot in the upper arm. She said "talk". Then she gave me the shot and she started laughing and smiling. I thought she was laughing because she got a weird satisfaction stabbing people with a needle. I asked her what's so funny and she pointed to her ear which i then noticed she had wireless earphones on. I finally realized that the entire time she was talking to someone else. That means the person she was talking with probably heard me verifying my info. If i was giving sensitive info or medical info they may have heard it. I don't expect people to be nice, but in a medical setting, I do expect someone to be focused on their job and not participating in personal calls while performing medical duties. It is very disturbing that someone else (the person on the other end of the phone) was there in the privacy booth possibly hearing sensitive information and i was unaware. read more

Communicating online is kept up to date and is very easy to use and communication with anyone there is great. I would highly recommend anyone to go there. I absolutely love this place. I have been going here for the past 3 years and NEVER have I had an issue. I've been to East Valley and Downtown as well and I regret it. The attention I get from the doctors there is very minimal. Milpitas treats me well... maybe because I treat them the same way I like to be treated? I am usually in and out within 1 hour depending on the reason for my visit. Yes, I have waited longer, but I don't mind since my Drs here will get to the bottom of any problem. As for appointments, I cant complaint. They always book appointments for me without letting me know, but I use Myhealth Online. I can book and cancel without having to wait on the phone. read more

There is a reason why this place of all Valley Medical Center has 4+ stars. I absolutely love this center since the first day I came here. I came here for my very first pregnancy appointment back in December of 2015. I was kindly assisted by the staff in this facility. About a month later, I was scheduled to come back to go over the pregnancy result. I knew I was pregnant but this was a protocol so I didn't have a problem coming back. They told me I was pregnant and asked me to choose an OB/GYN. I of course had no idea to choose because I have never been to this facility before. I was recommended by all the staff and I MEAN ALL THE STAFF to choose Dr. McCarrick who has been my doctor since day one, except on two occasions when he was out of the office and I had to be seen by Dr. Suarez, who I think is no where compare to Dr. McCarrick. If you're looking to attend this facility for your primary care during your pregnancy, I highly highly recommend Dr. McCarrick. He is such an attentive, caring, loving and just so easy to work with. He will try to accommodate you as much as he can. He answers all your questions thoroughly and will retreat himself until you understand. He is absolutely hands down the best doctor I have ever ever worked with in my life. I can go on and on about Dr. McCarrick but you probably would be so tired of reading my review and just blow it off. Please give Dr. McCarrick a try if you are looking for an OB/GYN to care for you and your new addition to the family. Oh I forgot to mention, the staff here are fantastic. I have been bringing my father to the Milpitas health center for the last two years and I couldn't have been happier. I was referred by another clinic to this laboratory. This technician Rajdip does an absolutely amazingly job drawing blood from my father as he has been struggling with cancer and he has difficult veins.She is always willing to go above and beyond to help and has a pleasant attitude. I give her 10 stars!! My father always request for her. The front receptionist Paul is wonderful too. We are in and out of the clinic quickly. The staff here is super rude. I needed to refill my birth control prescription right away but the Doctor told the pharmacy that I need to contact her. After calling them and being put on hold for 45 minutes, I get to talk to a live person who told me flatly that I can't talk to doctor and hung up on me. The only way to get my prescription is to make an appointment, wait a month or so for your appointment slot, and go fill it. This is the kind of shitty health care you get here. No access to the doctor and rude staff. I'd understand if this is a prescription that could have severe side effects or addiction abuse, but this is birth control! You simply need it and it should be made available. This is the last time I'll ever come here. read more

This is for my wife's appointment. Long wait times even with appointment. Took nearly 2 hour just for routine check-up and 90% of that time was for waiting. This has happened 3 times. We reached hospital at 8:30, Appointment was at 8:45am and doctor came at 9:30 am and doctor left in the middle of appointment and came back at 10. I wouldn't recommend it anyone. They left a voicemail saying I needed to make another appointment but since they couldn't reach me, they made one for me! WTF?! I had an appointment to see Dr. VAN for my filling. This Dentist told me that the filling is not small and he can not fix it. he advises me to have the attraction for that tooth instead. I asked him if he can save my teeth because nothing is better than my real teeth. HE SAID "IF I WANT TO SAVE THIS TOOTH THEN I NEED TO PAY MONEY FOR OTHER PROCEDURES, BUT HE REFERS TO TAKE IT OUT. Finally, He asked me to sign the paperwork before he takes my tooth out. It took him a long time to take the tooth out and he can not take it out. he then asked me " am I taking the calcium pills because he tries to take my tooth out but it is so strong and he can not remove it. He thinks that medical patients are not allowed to have the right to make their owns decision and he decided for them, but he asked them to sign the paperwork to save his license without giving patients a chance to have the second opinion. He should respect and treat all the patients as the same, Medical patients are not bad patients, they are a human being. They work, they paid for tax for the government. Then the government gets THEIR TAX TO PAY FOR DR. VAN. WITHOUT THOSE MEDICAL PATIENTS, DR. VAN WILL NOT HAVE A JOB. HE SHOULD APPRECIATE MEDICAL PATIENTS. He is not a good dentist, He did not want to save the.e patient 's teeth. Nothing is better than your real teeth. As the Dentist, he should show his talent and his compassion. He does not have chair side manner and he does not care for his patient. He should help patients as much as he could to show that he has good heard. He is just a money mater. This review goes directly to the employees that are in charge of answering the phones to register new patients, very unprofessional and very BAD customer service. The wait time was more than 15 min. First call, the employee tried to put me on hold and hanged up on me instead, the second call, the employee who answered just stated she couldn't hear me and hanged up on me in less than 2 sec. I did not bother to call again and decided to register somewhere else which the whole process took me about 7 min!!!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Though I waited for almost 2 hours for my son's appointment, my experience with this facility was 80% satisfied. I had been throwing attitude with my nurse Michelle because of the long wait causing my son's tantrum. Nevertheless, she remained hope that calm, and kind. Her good attitude shines on her. very few I have met a nurse like her. Also although the doctor was late, she was very attentive and thorough. All in all I had "okay" experience and would go back to this clinic if necessary. I just hope that I don't have to wait for that long again. read more

I would have given this clinic 5 stars because the doctors and nurses are very good with the patients and are very nice. Other services are very good too, like pharmacy and Labs. However I gave 4 stars because of the registration office employees. Out of all of them, only one or two of them are nice. The rest are very rude and will make a face if they don't like you. I don't want to mention the name here, but these ladies don't know anything about customer service. Really bad attitude! I just hope the management talks to them and have them fix this issue. Overall I have no other problem with the clinic. Everything else is just wonderful. I love the location, the clinic is very clean and organized. I waited 20 min only to check in because the receptionist upstairs on the 2nd floor kept casually talking with another person while she clearly saw me and another guy waiting and the line began to get even longer. On top of it all, they have a long appointment wait list as it is and as I hoped to finally get a primary dentist I broke down in tears at the dental location in frustration. I made this appointment 3 months prior in aching pain up to the point i cannot even sleep sometimes just for Yvonne Truong DMD completely brush me off carelessly and had the nerve to tell me to go elsewhere like western dental. Very unprofessional, how do you plan to build relationships with your clients, let alone build a reputation with the way you treat patients. She tried to lie and say I have to make another appointment because my appointment is based on tooth pain specifically which is a lie because I was a first time patient and ANYWHERE I've been seen at any dentistry always requires a full examination first time and further tried covering up lies when I over heard she was accidentally over booked. And next tried to refer me to unnecessary specialists costing thousands of dollars when I clearly had full medical coverage and can be treated. I've never been so disappointed in a medical setting. This is a review for the clinic and Dr. Anna Hui. Being that she is new and has been a doctor for 5 years, she seems pretty apprehensive about referring or subscribing medications, at least that's why I think. Along with that, she kind of kept saying how busy she was in my first appointment so I don't like feeling rushed and so on. I dislike how hard it is to get ahold of anyone in this clinic or any valley health centers for that matter. If yelp had a rating of 3.5 I'd have chosen that instead. Overall, I like how it is easy to get ahold of her through their internet patient access and this busy is never that busy at all, least when I walk in and wait. read more

check in is fast but waiting for your dr. takes a very long we have a 2weeks old baby that has an appointment and we arrived 15mins before our appointment. its already past half an hour and they haven't called us yet. it's ok if its not our baby but making a new born wait for me is not cool. they ask you to arrive 15-10minutes early and you wait for an hour to have you checked. read more
