Recently we were informed they were Going Out of business. my nephew Was getting an oxygen concentrator and bottled oxygen from them. On December 19th 2023 they called my sister and told her they were coming out on Friday that week you pick up their machines whether my nephew had replacements or not that we have been working on very rude very unprofessional. Needless to say no one showed up after I spent 6 hours on the phone fighting to get emergency recognitions done to get his oxygen from another company. No one showed up to pick up the equipment they threatened to my sister over stressed her out severely stressed my nephew And helped put him in the hospital due to his long condition being stressed out did not help. On December 27th I spoke with a driver who apologized said he knew nothing about it and would be out today to pick up the concentrator between 2 and 4 PM. Afterwards I received a call from a nasaly voiced person at valley home medical who basically treated me like garbage on the phone told me that oxygen is a life-saving medicine and they wouldn't just come out and take it away copped very severe attitude with me I told them their stuff would be on my front porch to pick up as it was already set up. Do yourself a favor and your clients a favor or patients don't refer them here for anything they want to go out of business let them go out of business fast read more

I needed to have my mobility scooter repaired. (Batteries drained from lack of use due to covid.) A wonderful technician by the name of Jorge came to my rescue (to do an assessment of my scooter). Even though he was given the wrong phone number by their dispatcher Tim, he was persistent and didn't leave until he got into my security building and was able to speak with me in person. He was very diligent in checking over my scooter and making sure to not to miss anything that would need repair. He took very thorough notes as to what I would need to get on the road again. He was very understanding when I told him that I hadn't been out of the house in a year due to being high risk and COVID-19. He told me that he would get his part done as soon as possible to get the ball rolling, as I had been waiting long enough. He returned today with the parts to actually fix the scooter. He came with the same jovial attitude and head full of knowledge that he came with the first time. He gave me great advice on battery maintenance and other things to keep my scooter running properly. When he was done with the repairs, he went to his truck, got paper towels and started to clean the scooter to make it look presentable as it had been sitting since I stopped riding it in March of 2020. I really appreciated his help and hope he is the one to come out the next time I need service on my scooter. I am charging the batteries now so I can get the heck out of here. How can they just put a CPAP machine and mask in the mail and not send out someone to be sure the mask works for you and teach you how to use the machine. Lazy and cheap company. read more

My review is for an experience I had a few years back, but as this business just popped up as a Yelp suggestion, I was reminded. I had ankle/foot surgery, was on crutches and needed to rent a wheelchair to take on a trip. The gentleman who helped us (owner? manager?) seemed ok but I saw him sizing me up. When I jokingly told him I needed a wide chair to "fit my big butt", his exact response was "Well, I was trying to be polite..." !!! REALLY buddy? Take a look in the mirror, you're not exactly wasting away yourself. Déclassé. Not the type of customer service I would expect from someone who regularly works with the disabled, elderly and/or otherwise health-challenged. Due to a time crunch we rented a chair without further issue, but I will never spend another dime here and have told others to follow suit. read more

First of all, this business is very unprofessional and no sense of urgency. Pls consider all other companies before you go to this one. 2wks ago was my first encounter w/ this company. I was referred by my primary ins since they are contracted with them. My case mgr made arrangements with "CLAUDIA" specifically to handle my case. All paperworks were taken cared of since i have dual coverage. Claudia vouches that they do not like the fact that my ins covers only a contracted rate. So to make it short-even w/ dual cov-I ended up paying out of pocket---fresh post op and needed ostomy suplies ASAP just to get this over with and render the order on 9/21/15. This was elaborated to CLaudia multiple times-the need of supplies is a priority since I didnt have supplies. Well lo & behold, its 9/28/15 still -no delivery. Called back the company and i was told by Adrien that my order was never delivered. Its sitting in the factory. I was furious!! How many violations did they go wrong here?? I've been using Valley Home Medical Supply for sometime now but I'm currently very frustrated with them. There is a glitch in their computer system when you place an order. The payment goes through but then the order is declined. I called re the problem and was advised it was just a glitch. It happened once before this order too. This time my order has still not arrived but the most frustrating part is that the person that I spoke to said she can not access the online ordering part of the system. There are only 2 people that can and of course neither was available until Monday (today is Friday @ 1pm in California time.) I didn't know there was a time difference between Northern and Southern California! This is a stupid business, especially in this economic climate to be annoying their customers. I am sorry to say that, based on my very bad experience with this firm, I fully agree with the five critical reviews. In October of last year, I bought a walker for my 85-year old wife, who needs assistance in walking. The two legs with wheels were some 5 inches longer that the other two legs closer to the handicapped person, and we wrongly thought that this was by design. My wife walks with a cane, and the walker was meant to facilitate her walking outside the house. We also assumed that the legs are adjustable in length, which was not the case. We simply were sold a defective walker for close to $80! After using it about three times on outside walks, my wife realized that it was no good. Two days ago, we returned it to the shop, and spoke to the apparent manager. Since I did not have the purchase receipt, the manager wanted me to leave the walker for his technical person to try and find a way to correct it. He gave us a signed receipt, which indicated "1 Left walker here for exchange with receipt". Today, we returned with evidence of payment of $75.95 with a Chase credit card on October 8, 2015. The manager was not there, and two of his employees, after discovering that the short legs cannot be rectified, tried to convince us that it was our fault, and suggested that we pay half price for a new walker. When I agreed, one of them went to get the manager's approval. He returned with the manager's request that we pay full price for a new item. This was too much to take! How a company serving handicapped people can behave in this manner is beyond my understanding! I have never before posted a negative Yelp comment but felt compelled to do so in this case. The way we were treated was dishonest and disrespectful, especially for a company that is in the business of treating vulnerable and handicapped patients. read more

My experience with Valley Home Medical Supply has been terrific...particularly because of their Occupational Therapist Donna and equipment technician Prat. I've used three other medical supply companies over the past 13 years, and have had the best experience this past year with Valley Home (mostly due to Donna and Prat). Wheelchair service and insurance support has been accurate, timely, and thorough. Donna understands my needs for using an power wheelchair, is always on top of my orders, and follows-through with what she says she will do. I feel I can trust her. All I did was call this company looking for a metal stand to hold an IV, a family member needs fluids once a day and I thought a stand would make things a little easier. When I called and asked if they carried this item, the girl on the other end of the line laughed at me and gave me a jolly no. So I asked if she might know who might carry them, she laughed again and said no. So much for customer service.
