I had my car inspected and had work done which costs around $1400. Literally six weeks later, my car suddenly was leaking oil and I needed everything replaced for $1700. I have been doing business with this dealership for over 15 years and the #1 reason I buy my Hondas there is the Service Department. They are professional, competent, reasonably priced and friendly. I even have a car (S2K) serviced there that I purchased at another Honda dealer. I have dealt with many car repair places over 40 years, including independent repair shops and dealerships, and this service facility has to be the best. I have never felt unfairly dealt with. If I could give zero stars, I would. Started with a simple call to see if a car was available that is listed on their site. The salesperson on the phone , who didn't share their name, said "yes, it's here". I said I would come in ASAP. No offer to meet with me or anything. I rushed to get there before close, only to be told the car was sent out for detailing, which is ridiculous, and that it isn't there. I was told "the GM didn't even know". Either that was a bold faced lie, or that's the worst GM to ever be in charge of a dealership. I was told all this by a less than enthusiastic salesperson who didn't even bother to introduce themselves. Very disappointing and frustrating start. *UPDATE* Bumping up to four stars only because Michael was an amazing help! I was able to call ahead and he verified the car was there (and said it never left but whatever). He met me in the lot as soon as I arrived and was very helpful. [BEWARE of this dealership!!!] I took my 2018 CRV which I purchased from Valley Honda for the first tire rotation for the vehicle on April 22nd 2019. So much pathetic and lethargic was their service that they only rotated tire of the right two tires and didn't rotate the left tires and they charged me a full fee for the rotation. As I had numbered all tires, they were caught red handed and had to rotate for the left two tires. The service tech was such an unprofessional guy who worked on my vehicle that he damaged all 4 of my alloy wheels with multiple scratch marks on the alloy wheels and fully scuffed all the inner wells for the lug nuts with Impact Torque Wrench while removing and tightening the lug nuts. On showing this damage to their service dept., the advisor said and agreed that their service director will call me back and address the issue, but they never bothered to call or address the issue. I have made multiple follow ups with dealership via email and phone and they never return the call or reply to my sent email. I even called the owner of the dealership and he too never returns back the call and it goes to voice mail. I even sent a note via service advisor to talk to dealership owner, but he never returned back my message. I have filed case with American Honda and they too ask me to deal directly with the dealership and washed off their responsibility. This dealership has been pathetic with their behavior and workmanship and handle vehicle irresponsibly or have no concern for your vehicle. Others BEWARE of visiting this dealership (Valley Honda at Monroeville, PA), and visit at your own risk ONLY, OR you may get your brand new vehicle damaged for the simplest job performed by them. read more

I just want to register two compliments, for the amazing service: (1) to Honda Valley, and Honda in general, for the excellent handling of the airbag recall. (2) to Merann Sealander, specifically, for not only handling the paperwork for the recall, but for also giving valuable advice on what to do with my (garaged) car, so that its tires and engine won't suffer from the lack of use. LONG VERSION of my note: my car had to have its airbags replaced - but the parts had not arrived yet. Valley Honda was excellent in arranging for a rental car, at no cost, and no extra effort, on my side. My husband bought me a 2013 Subaru Impreza from this place and it's been nothing but a one problem after another. First it was the wacky steering wheel going haywire WHILE driving it, then it was the huge amounts of oil that it consumes and now it won't start and all the dashboard lights are lit up. I had looked up cars on the internet and received a good quote (better than quotes I received when I personally visited other dealers in Pittsburgh area). I don't really have an issue with this dealership, however I find it ridiculous that I am unable to schedule an appointment for an oil change. I've checked 3 other Honda dealerships in the area, and each dealership you can schedule an appointment for that. Their oil change is part of their "speedy service" so it's on a first come, first serve basis which I find ridiculous. I don't want to sit and wait at a dealership for hours because there are people ahead of me. My time is valuable and I should be able to make an appointment for that and get in and out. My old dealership would let me schedule and I'd be out in 30 minutes. Now I wait there for at least an hour and 15 minutes because I am unable to make an appointment. When I first started going there, you were able to. Then they changed their policy and it is definitely not for the better. This policy is not benefiting the customer in anyway and it takes up their time. read more

I have owned my Honda Pilot for about 3 years now, and every time I take it in for service, I've been very pleased. Today I took it in for an oil change, and they reminded me that my inspection was due soon....AFTER they told me that everything would pass. This saved me a LOT of time on a return trip. The only other thing they recommended was to rotate my tires, which is legit because its been almost a year since I got them. They never treat me like I'm stupid because I'm a woman, which I appreciate since I've had the opposite experience at other dealerships. I've been taking care of cars for 25 years, so I know what's required. I HATE when service people talk down to me. I've always been treated like an intelligent person at Valley Honda Lastly, they always get me out of there in a reasonable amount of time. Only once have they had my car longer than expected, and that was because they wanted to replace a part that had been recalled since they had it in stock (I hadn't even gotten the recall letter yet). we had the most wonderful experience with this honda dealership. Our headlight burned out 5/26/17 - we (new yorkers) were on our way to a funeral then a long drive afterwards. Valley honda changed the our front headlight bulb and only charged us for the bulb ($13.88). It was such a nice gesture and much appreciated. We have purchased several used Hondas from this dealership, and always had good experiences. This time we were hoping to get the same salesman, but found out he had retired. The young man I spoke to was just not prepared for us, though we told him what tine we would be there, and which vehicles we wanted to see. We waited quite awhile, then one of the vehicles was brought to the front of the building. He said we could drive around to a back lot to see the others. One of them was parked so close to other vehicles , that we could barely climb in. It was dirty, and had obviously been sitting there for quite awhile with leaves , etc. all over it. We were not impressed with any of the vehicles we saw. At that point he gave us his card, and told us to call anytime. In the past, our salesman would show us other vehicles we might be interested in. Just felt this young man missed an opportunity. I own two vehicles which I bought at this dealership. I took our 2015 Honda Accord in for an oil change and the service department said the car needed front and rear brakes as well as the rotors be shaved. The total for all this service was going to be $1,600 !!! I told them to just change the oil. I then took the car to a local service shop I use from time to time. He replaced the front and rear brakes and shaved the rotors for $397. Valley Honda wanted 4 times this amount for the same service. My suggestion is to search for local service shops or ask your neighbors who they use for repairs before signing off on Valley Honda's service charges. You could save a great deal of money. read more

Stopped at this location in an emergency service situation. Driving my father's Pilot, I hit something getting off the turnpike and got a flat tire. luckily Valley Honda was right at the exit. Pulled in, explained the situation, noted that the battery had been recently switched and for some reason the radio was not working. I was told that the mechanic said I had to shut the blue tooth off for it to work. He tested it with my phone. I knew that could not be since I would not be able to received phone calls with it off. Hallelujah for Steve, the service rep. He was so kind to me. He offered to go out to my car with me and try it out himself. Walla, it was back to normal. He had so much patience with me. I drove all the way from West Virginia to buy my car at Valley Honda because of the low-pressure, high customer service orientation of this dealership. I tried with my local dealerships, but they couldn't match the price Valley offered me and one of them--I-79 Honda--baited and switched prices on me. Jason Flenniken, my salesperson, on the other hand, was low-key, straight-up, and above-board the whole time. I did most of my deal via e-mail and only had to discuss my trade with him because we differed a little on price. We met in the middle and the deal was done in less than 30 minutes. Valley offers true Honda Customer Service--no high pressure selling, no treating you like you're an idiot. Another reviewer mentioned that he wasn't approached on the lot: Honda dealers let you look without annoying questions. When you're ready for help, you approach them, which I think is WONDERFUL. If I could go with 0 stars I would. They tried to sell a family member a used car. Luckily she took me out for a second opinion. Although the Carfax was clean, this vehicle had very clearly been in a bad head-on collision. Valley's response was "not to our knowledge...". New front clip, new wheel wells, new hood release and more. Next I asked to drive it. They would only let me drive around the lot because they were low on gas. At that point, I said that we need to take this to a mechanic to ensure that it is what they claim. The salesman said he didn't have the time to allow for this. The manager wouldn't be bothered. WOW, I've never met a car salesman who wouldn't take a couple of hours to close a sale. These guys don't sell that many cars. I have bought 2 new Honda Pilots 2007 and 2011 from them and had ALL service even tire purchases from their service department. Recently I received horrible service, had my Air conditioning repaired (700 dollars), was told it was blowing cold. I paid then circled around the lot and air was blowing warm, took it back and had to get a ride home. Left it there for another day and had to pick it up again, they forgot to tighten something, wasted trips back and forth. Then about a week later (only drove the car 2 times since) my electrical went haywire, had to get a new battery put in it. I called and asked for the Navigation code to reset the navigation and was told they didn't have it and could not tell me how to get it and had to bring it to them on Monday. I said I just want a code or someone to tell me how to find the code. Steve in Service proceeded to tell me "Feel free to take it to another dealer if I would like" Well after 11 years of faithful purchases and over thousands of dollars of Service I will NEVER purchase a vehicle, trade a vehicle or NEVER service either of my Honda Pilots with them again! DO NOT GO HERE! They LIED several times, saying I needed more work than I actually did! Told me I could BREAK DOWN AT ANY TIME if I didn't shell out over $1000 for an EVAP CANISTER! WHAT?! (Long review, but I have MANY complaints!) Then they told me my brake pads were hanging off, and it was metal on metal, when a family member (who is a mechanic) had checked my brakes the day before and said they were a little worn, but could last several more months -__- Plus, I don't understand how my brakes could be completely worn down like they said, but only need pads and not rotors as well... I had an appointment Monday and dropped my car off Sunday night. It needed inspection/emissions, A/C work, brakes, and work for a low beam headlight and passenger airbag recalls. By 3pm Monday I hadn't heard anything from Valley Honda, so I called and they informed me they hadn't even looked at my car yet. Around 6:45pm I spoke with a mechanic who told me that it would need $2500 worth of work and may break down at any time if I didn't get it fixed, and of course they leave at 7pm so I had 15 minutes to decide if I wanted to spend the money. And then I find out that they lied anyway, and my car is in no danger of breaking down because of the part I needed! They knew I couldn't leave my car there for long because I live in Columbus, OH and was only in town a few days specifically for them to work on my car. Dropped it off Sunday, was supposed to be done Monday. They kept it until Tuesday, and I called again Tuesday at about 6:30pm after once again not hearing from a mechanic, and STILL, THE ONLY THING DONE WAS THE RECALL WORK! Two days and they couldn't even put brakes on the car. They offered to do the brakes in 30 minutes, but I told them to forget it, because if it takes less than 30 minutes they should have had it done in the 2 days they had my car. They also said they were required to notify the state if my car failed inspection, probably to try to scare me into getting the work done. I spoke with several other mechanics who do inspections and they said they have never heard that a shop must notify the state because of a failed inspection! Bunch of crooks and liars. I am NEVER going back and will spread the word to friends and family to never go to Valley Honda! read more

One of the worst dealerships I have ever dealt with! 1 star is 2 much! We called to check to see if a car was available before we left the house considering we lived 2 hours away. Terry was the salesman and said yes here and ready to go home with you. Drove there and test drove the vehicle. After test driving it Terry disappeared. 45 minutes later we were able to talk numbers. Came to an agreement and the waiting started again. We were told to call our insurance company and add the vehicle because they need the conformation. we did this. After being there for over 3 1/2 hours Terry tells us there is a problem. They do not have the title. Instead of apologizing and trying to make us happy he said he is more upset than we were!! Really!! You idiot! so the GM said there is nothing he could do. After writing a letter to the dealership management explaining how poorly we were treated i still have not heard back. This shows the complete disregard for their customers. I would never recommend dealing with this dealership. From top to bottom a bad experience. Honda should be embarrassed having these people represent them. Management hide in there offices and afraid to address a mistake they made. Please stay away! read more

I first heard of Valley Honda via the internet while looking for a 2009-2011 Subaru Forester. I called the dealer about the car I was interested in and talked to Alex. He sounded positive and helpful and asked us to come in for a test drive on Monday 8/14/17. He said the shop needed time to "get the car ready" and he would be in at 12 noon. I sent a text about 11:30AM telling him I was on my way.( I live in Beaver County, about an hour away). When I arrived at Valley Honda, the 2010 Subaru Forester was sold.
