I can't speak to the quality of their work but as far as getting a professional, I would not recommend a business that feels likes it operated by a 10 year old. Not just my opinion - have had 2 experiences with Brandon one year apart and both times he hung up on me because I asked where are you 4 hours after our agreed upon time and then now because I suggested the requested service will be a snake due to a clogged pipe and started harassing me on the phone, told me I know nothing, hung up and when I called back blocked my number? We recently purchased a new washer and our water lines needed to be replaced. I couldn't do the work myself because I don't have the proper tools and everything was rusted over. I called Brandon of Pro Island Drain Cleaning and services by referral from John of Good Guy Plumbing that I got from Next Door. Brandon wasn't able to come out day of being that it was about 6pm but he did tell me to call first thing in the morning so they could get us in on the schedule. I called the next morning and he told me to send him the address and he'll have someone to come by. He had someone come by around noon to see what needed to be done and he left to pick up the other parts needed. Our plumber, Kai was so easy to work with especially since we previously bought some of the other needed parts to begin with the day before. It was less than an hour of work that would have taken me much longer on my own. The price was much more fair than calling one of those bigger plumber companies that charge $100 to cut a pipe. I get that companies need to also pay for their equipment on top of their employees, but $100 a cut? Ouch. Call Brandon of Pro Island Drain Cleaning and Services for all your plumbing needs. I cannot stop raving and recommending your company, employees and work. Thank you! We will be giving him a call next time something arises.

Additionally they also changed their misleading ads on their new website which was my main complaint. I appreciate their efforts to do the right thing --not all companies do this. Called to have a plumber come check on a leak in our garage. I assumed it was the water heater,…read morebecause it was the only thing in the garage. The plumber didn't look at anything other than the water heater and stated it needs to be replaced. He quoted a price that made me swear immediately. I apologized as it was out of character, he said it was ok, but the water heater needed to be replaced and it was up to me. I told him if it needs to, I don't have any options, do what he needs to. As he was removing the water heater, I pointed out the areas there was water and I didn't think it came from the water heater as the water heater would have been spraying water in order to get that far. The plumber stated he has been doing this for over 20 years and he knows what he is doing. After the water heater was removed, he said it needed to drain. He left and came back about a hour later, the water heater dripped really slowly the entire time he was gone. I mentioned that if there was a hole in the water heater, wouldn't air go through the hole and help the water drain from the spigot faster. He stated that I didn't understand the science of it and that the hole closes when disconnected from the water because there is no longer presser. He completed the replacement and left. I swept out all the water from the garage and didn't think much of it. I checked on the garage the next day and the garage was full of water again. I called Steve's Plumbing and the same guy came out. He said that he needed to do an inspection of the house to find out where the leak was coming from, he said before he did, it would cost so much per hour to look for the leak. I told that's what he supposed to have done before, but he didn't look at anything other than the water heater and stated it needed to be replaced. He said it was my fault and that he didn't look for a leak because it was the water heater, I reminded him that I said their is leak in the garage which we needed him to look at and the only thing directly connected to water was the water heater. He repeated it was his fault, it was mine. I asked him to leave and stated at me and refused. Only after telling him he needed to leave the property or I would call the police because he wasn't welcomed, he finally left. I called another company, it turns out there was a pipe broke in the wall. The plumber explained all things Steve's Plumbing should have done to ensure the issue was corrected, more specially, checking the water pressure before work started and checking the water pressure when the job was complete to ensure the issue had been resolved. They also explained that we paid way too much replacing a water heater (which didn't need to be replaced). I'll never use Steve's Plumbing again.

After doing some troubleshooting on my own--changing toilet parts, checking the irrigation system, and investigating other possible causes--we narrowed the issue down to the main water line. John responded immediately, told me he could send someone out the same day, and even gave me a one-hour arrival window. Based on the information I provided, he was able to give me a quote before anyone even came out, which I really appreciated. As promised, Jonathan arrived right on time. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He located the leak surprisingly quickly, and I was shocked at how deep the pipe was buried. At one point, Jonathan was upside down in the hole working to access it! Throughout the process, he clearly explained what needed to be done. He let me know he was going to the store to get a part and would be right back--and he was. He returned quickly and got right back to work. Once the repair was completed, he showed me the damaged section of pipe and explained the fix before covering everything back up. I was especially impressed with the care he took when refilling the hole. He carefully put the soil back in place, and by the end of the job, he was covered from head to toe in mud. It was obvious he worked incredibly hard to get the repair done right. It's been a few days since the repair, and so far everything is working perfectly. The owner of this company is responsive, kind, and most importantly, honest. I highly recommend Good Guys Plumbing for any plumbing needs. I cannot say enough good things about Miles and the experience we had with Sturdevant Air…read moreConditioning. We had an unexpected AC unit failure at our vacation rental just two days before our next guests were arriving. My husband was out of town, so I was in a bit of a bind trying to get everything taken care of quickly. I know that Sturdevant primarily handles commercial work and larger HVAC projects, so the fact that they took the time to find us a replacement unit and make sure we were taken care of meant so much. But what really stood out to me was Miles. Miles came out with Justin on a Thursday evening, and these two had the entire replacement installed and working in about an hour. Watching Miles work was honestly impressive. He had an incredible amount of energy, worked nonstop, and clearly takes tremendous pride in what he does. His work ethic was exceptional, and his attitude was just as impressive as his technical ability. He was friendly, professional, incredibly efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about getting the job done right. Miles is the epitome of a hard worker. He is exactly the kind of employee any company would be proud to have representing them. Sturdevant should feel incredibly fortunate to have someone like him on their team, because his attitude, and willingness to help speak volumes about the kind of person he is and the kind of company he represents. And while this review is really about Miles, I would be remiss if I didn't also recognize Sturdevant for going out of their way to help us when they really didn't have to. It is genuinely refreshing to experience that level of kindness and willingness to help these days. It feels like that kind of personal service and simply doing the right thing has become harder and harder to find. What could have been a very stressful situation turned into an experience that reminded me that there are still good people and good companies out there who are willing to step up and help when someone is in a bind. Thank you, Miles, for your hard work, your incredible energy, and for taking such pride in what you do. You are truly an asset to Sturdevant, and I hope you know how much your effort was appreciated. If every company had employees with your work ethic and attitude, we'd all be better for it.
