Ordered 4 8oz filet mignons, 2 18oz ribeyes and 2 14oz NY strips. They were all prime and trimmed perfect. They were cut custom to order and the prices were very fair. All meat was put in my trunk curbside!! Thank you!

Now called Port Washington Meat Center, the folks there are so nice and professional. It's great to have a real old school butcher in town who will custom cut/trim your selections for you. We get chicken, filets, brisket, sirloins...and they have the most incredible short rib and brisket blended burgers. New phone number is (516) 441-5123. read more

Great Service... It's nice to shop in a traditional Butcher shop. The quality is AAA. I like the quality control of the meat especially because of how it is contained in a climate controlled enclosure. I also appreciate the lack of customer contact with my food. read more

Avoid this place! This guy is a con artist. We went in because he has sign's in the window with really good prices for filet mignon. We told him we were making Beef Wellington. Holds up a three pound piece of meet that looks good and we take it at 12:99 per pound even though the sign says 8:99 per pound. When we get home and open it up its ALL FAT! on the other side! We could not use it for what we wanted. Had to throw about a third of it out. Cut up for a few steaks and the rest for skewering. He won't last much longer. I'll stick to North Shore Farms! read more

Valley has the best quality meat and excellent customer service. We've been going to them for years and have recommended them to many friends. No one has been disappointed. They use prime versus choice meat so the quality is much better and the prices may be slightly higher than North Shore. read more

Never use this vendor for special orders. At Christmas, I found the exact same brand and freshness of meat at the North Shore Farms grocery store down the street at half the price. More recently, I placed an order for a very specific part and was given a package with a different name - the man behind the counter defended the purchase saying that it was the same thing. After a Google search and then calling another reputable butcher in NYC I learned that I received something that was not only different, but of a much lower grade than what I had requested. Then they got upset with me for not wanting to accept the item that I did not request. We will never do business, special order or otherwise with Vally Meat again.. read more

An older gentleman visually showed me the amount of oxtail they sell so I could get a feel for the size for my dish before buying it. And they were fast about cutting up my meats. They carry chicken, beef, goat and lamb. I've had lamb ribs from here before and the meat quite flavorful and cooked well. I imagine you can get many Indian, Pakistani, and Caribbean cut meats here. Always hard to find a place to cut chicken for Guyanese chicken curry! They also carry oils, snacks, rice, spices, and other halal treats. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of meat and amount you get. I got fatty pieces with bone so it may not look like that much meat in my photos. But I imagine if you needed meatier pieces, they would be priced fairly as well. There's a parking lot in front with limited spots but a lot of street parking nearby. They take cash, credit and maybe Apple Pay(?). Definitely coming back when I need to cook my Guyanese/Indian meat dishes.
