Nothing but problems. I purchased a hot tub and natural gas heater. They both came with no instructions as to how to connect the gas heater and disconnect the built in electric heater. The dealer's advice was to "Hire a plumber". My fully certified plumber has no idea how to do it. Many text messages have been exchanged.... including with "Platinum Spas" which is the manufacturer. Their last message was that they "do not recommend the use of a gas heater". It makes one wonder why they sold it to me in the first place. Now I read the complaints from other customers and am definitely experiencing buyer's remorse. read more

valley spa has a great product. the customer service terrible. the manager spends more time with sloppy excuses than providing the best for their customers. I have used their water support system for 5 months. I learned so much from the technicians on how to maintain my tub. the problem is customer charge you for products that you do not need, when you call them. I was told this was for another charge but no one told me that I needed this product. when you question The manager, she flip flop. safe changes her mind i started thinking all you get is a script that pivots and it is your fault do not understand your contract. read more

The only real problem I have with Valley Pools is that when you go there they try to sell you everything in the store. I have had our inground pool for 33 years now, we have always delt with Village Pools in Murrysville but last year they retired and closed the doors. When you go for a simple water test they will pull out numerous items that you must have when I know you really do not. I am now in search of another pool shop. read more

Customer service in the Monroeville store is sub par at the very least. Store manager names Jessi Chipps is just as ignorant as he wants to be. Apparently customers at this store are disposable. Went in for a part that their North Versailles location didn't have, go figure, this location only had one left and when presented to us it was an opened package. My husband asked that a discount be given because the package had clearly been opened. Mr manager states that "I just opened it this morning" and something to the effect of 'it you don't want it you don't have to buy it'. Regardless of if you opened it this morning or three weeks ago, it's an opened package and has been tampered with. We will be taking our business to one of their competitors. We tried to stay loyal customers since we bought the pool from them and have been customers with them for the last 7 years, but since they never have anything you need in stock and now this shitty managers attitude sealed the deal. If you don't like your minimum wage job, then do better Jessi. read more

This is the WORST company to deal with in regards to pool openings. The WORST customer service (KIM the service manager) and outrageously expensive. Two men showed up and literally removed the pool cover and tightened down the hoses. They were at our home for only 36 minutes and did nothing but fold the cover and left it by the garage. My mother had to ask them to place it in the garage as they were walking off the property. I was charged $374.00 for just the removal of the cover. When I complained to KIM, she was exceedingly condescending, argumentative and contenscious while rudely informing me that they only remove the cover and tighten hoses. BUYER BEWARE! If you use this company please have little or no expectations because they did absolutely nothing for the amount of money they charged. We cannot recommend Valley Pool & Spa enough! We had both a poll and in-ground hot tub installed by another company, and they essentially ghosted us. I was introduced to Valley for pool supplies, and the staff was so darn friendly and knowledgeable, I of course inquired about their services, including closing our pool and routine maintenance. Not surprisingly, the service side has been just as friendly and knowledgeable as the sales side. They never bad-mouth our original company, they provide us with explanations and options, Julie is the most organized, responsive service manager i have ever met, and Dan is not only Uber-knowledgeable, he's a problem solver and all around kind and thoughtful person. To make it even better, their process for scheduling and paying for service is ridiculously easy. See what I mean - I can't recommend them enough. read more

We brought this pool last in June of 2022. We were supposed to have it installed in July of 2022. Valley pools contracted B&T installation to install our pool. A gentleman came out and surveyed our property and said that where we have it at is the best place for the pool to go. We paid $1250 for the excavation and a gentleman came out dug up the yard left a very huge mountain of dirt in our backyard. They came back for the installation and said that the ground was to wet. They I turn waited 2weeks when it was sunny and nice and never came back out. They came back out again when it was raining again and said that they couldn't install the pool because it was wet. So they promised that they would have the pool in before the end of August. However to their defense it did rain a good amount in August however there were a good amount of sunny days. We finally came up with the conclusion (after a lot of complaining). That we would be at the top of the list for the spring. The owner said that he would take our pool and store it for us. Well at the start of the year we had a lot of people come out including the owner and said that it was to wet. Well another one of B&T escalators came out and we decided to move over 3-5 feet to give room so the water that they were talking about would bypass and make for a better solution. So Tony one of the installers( very nice guy) he said that it was a little wet where we were at. 2 weeks later Mike came out and put the pool up Sunday August 6, 2023. My permit is dated July 11,2022. A year and almost 30days that it took to install and all we had to do is move 3-5feet. However, valley didn't do anything to make this right. We paid close to $7500 for pool, installation, and excavation. No one said hey we can take 10% off of your bill for the inconvenience, no they made it worse by tell me that there was nothing that they could do. If this is what customer service is now a days we don't need to have box stores because they don't treat people right. read more
