I have to get on here and do a review. I am a stage 4 cancer patient for 7 years,I will always be bald. When I was 1st diagnosed, before losing my hair I went to a wig shop(it will remain unnamed) it was the worst experience. I left crying. So I haven't gone to another wig shop.just wearing hats & scarves. Lately I've been wanting to have hair. I read reviews and researched a bunch of places for about a year. Valley Rags & Wigs had great reviews,so Saturday October 18/25 i went in. They are the most patient and understanding women. I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for & of course wanted my husband to like it too. The ladies looked at a photo of me before cancer. I probably tried 25 wigs. They found a wig that looked almost 100% of what I naturally had before. I went a little shorter than what I had but the cut & color are perfect. It's comfortable and not itchy and a perfect fit! They even cut bangs on the wig like what I had. Amazing wonderful women. Thank you so much! I WILL be back.

What a great shop with a wide selection and wonderful customer service. My mom has severe hair loss at her age and went to a store in Walnut Creek and had no luck. I am surprised by the 3.5 stars but we were in the area so stopped in. The employee listened to my mother's needs and brought a couple wigs to try. We laughed and had fun until she found the right one. It was a bit pricey but seemed like decent quality and you're paying for the service as well. We also received special shampoo and instructions. What a great experience from start to finish!! And my mother looks 10 years younger which is worth the money for her happiness and confidence.

I had a great time! The service was excellent and very knowledgable. I left with a flattering and real-looking wig.

When I finally got someone, they said I had to wait for 4 to 6 weeks. Then I called Marzel's and they suggested that I have my doctor provide a prescription for a post-surgical garment and camisoles. I had my fitting today and found that Jennifer, the fitter in Pleasanton was very knowledgeable, compasionate and understanding. I was still oozing a little bit, but she helped me hold the surgical pad in place and I was able to try on both the post-surgical garment and a soft bra. She persisted in pulling stuffing out of the temporary prosthesis until it matched my remaining breast. I had been wearing a breast binder and my surgeon told me that I no longer needed it, but I didn't know what to wear instead. I left wearing the camisole with the temporary prosthesis in it feeling much more normal. Visiting Marzel's was good therapy for me. You need an appointment. When I called, they warned me that their suite was difficult to find. The large sign on 5980 Stoneridge Dr is "Coldwell Banker". You go into the building and walk down the hall until to you get to suite 119, which does not have windows.

Marzel's 'up-sales' prescription compression garments. They change the order from an 'off the…read moreshelf' to a 'custom' garment, and do not get authorization from the physician who wrote the prescription. The custom item is several times more costly, and risks that insurance won't pay. They say that they will submit to insurance, e.g. Medicare, but fail submit correctly. Then, they say they cannot figure out how to follow up failed insurance claims. It took me nearly a year to get them to correctly submit a nearly $4000 garment claim. I had to call the dozens of times, and instruct them how to format the claim.

I don't usually write reviews like this, but my experience at Celebration Salon has meant so much…read moreto me that I feel compelled to share it. Walking in for the first time, I was honestly nervous and emotional. Hair loss is such a deeply personal thing, and for a long time I didn't feel like myself anymore. But from the moment I met Rhea, something shifted. She didn't just see my hair, she truly saw me. She listened without judgment, with so much patience and compassion, and for the first time in a long time, I felt a sense of hope. What also stood out right away was how warm and welcoming the entire staff is. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with kindness and genuine care. The salon's private setting makes it feel safe to open up, and I never once feel rushed. Every step of the process was handled with such intention and attention to detail. When I finally saw the result, something so natural, so me, I actually got emotional. It wasn't just about how I looked, it was about how I felt. I felt like I had a piece of myself back. Now, I walk out of every appointment feeling lighter, more confident, and honestly, more like myself again. I can't recommend Celebration Salon enough, it's more than just a service, it's an experience that truly changes how you feel about yourself.

I used the salon's website to send a message for a wig consultation and requested an appointment. I…read morenever got a call or an email back so I gave them a call and made an appointment. I arrived for the appointment about five minutes early and checked in with the receptionist. Rhea, who I had the appointment with was within an earshot as her chair is only a few feet away. Rhea said she didn't have any appointments and I must have been mistaken. The receptionist checked the book and confirmed that I had an appointment. Rhea was in the middle of coloring/dying a hairpiece on a mannequin head, very sloppily from what I could see. She said she would be with me when she was done, so I sat down and waited and waited. While she was doing the coloring, lunch arrived for her. She told me she would eat her lunch and she would with me shortly. I expressed that we were already 15 minutes into my time and now she was going to eat?! So she agrees and has me sit in her chair while she eats. The extension area if the salon on the other side is super busy. Rhea starts off by asking me why I'm there. If you could see my hair, you would know while I was there. It is very thin at the top and this is a wig/extension/hair loss salon. I had come in for a consultation and I wanted advice. I thought I had come to a place that was professional. She said I should consider a topper not a wig. I didn't know what a topper was and ask to see one. She didn't have anything that was near to my color so she put a blonde streaked topper on my auburn brown hair. It looked ridiculous as the color was so off and the density of the hair was so thick compared to my crown. Another customer comes in with a hairpiece she needs styled or colored. Rhea stops my appointment to attend to her while I wait again. Rhea showed me a product that was a powder filler you put in your hair to fill in thinning spots. It was a good match for my color so I said I would buy it. The sample she used was the only one she had left, and she sold it to me as a full sized product even though it had been open and used. I was charged $30 for an opened sample. I later found this elsewhere for $25. I wasn't very satisfied with a sample hairpiece she showed me as it didn't match either in color or in its density. I left feeling very frustrated by the attitude and unprofessionalism of this salon owner, regarding the appointment time, delayed start due to he engagement when I arrived, eating during service, and taking another customer in the middle of my consultation. This was quite a while ago, yet the experience was so bad that I haven't forgotten it. I saw an ad in Diablo magazine which prompted me to finally write a review. Responding to owner's response: Glad to hear you no longer do consultations leaving that to your staff. My consultation with you was on 10/22/21 at 1:30pm. As I said in my review, it was quite a while ago but not forgotten as it was so memorable. Losing hair is traumatic no matter the cause and being treated without respect or compassion by a hair salon geared towards wigs, extensions, toppers, etc is inexcusable. I told my regular stylist at Salon 9 this story and she was angry about my experience at Celebration. I would not subject myself to a return visit.
