All of these are pics of the most recent wig I bought from VIP!
    Lise P.

I have purchased 2 wigs from VIP Wigs & have been extremely happy with both of them. Both of them were high quality synthetic wigs that continue to look months later just as beautiful as the day I bought them. I felt the need to review this store not only to rave about her wigs (hair pieces, toppers, etc.) but also because I'm not sure if people are hesitant about considering this place due to where it happens to be located. The building it is in is not particularly impressive & is actually a little difficult to find because there are not a lot of active businesses surrounding it either, though it is in the middle of town in a very nice area. This store has been in this same spot for over 45 years! Mary is the owner who is the only person running the store. She is wonderful! Your first impression may be that she is not interested in really doing business &/or not very friendly in general. This is so far from the truth however! Mary is very knowledgeable & friendly as well. She has a calm & professional manner making you feel immediately comfortable which is unlike other places that I have been to recently. No pressure is put on the customer to buy anything & questions are easy to ask which is so nice for those of us who basically know nothing about wigs. I am a cancer survivor & so is Mary. It was an added pleasure to know that she could relate to the many mixed feelings that I had about having to buy a wig due to the damage my hair incurred from the chemoradiation I went through for my GI Cancer. Take a look at VIP Wigs for yourself. She has a fantastic collection of European wigs, many of which are 100% made by hand! She doesn't normally carry human hair wigs but as I said, she does sell premium synthetic wigs that look exceptional when compared to the other wig stores that I have been to in the past.

Mary is very sweet & patient with her customers. Her selection is very good. I know everything has doubled in price but I wish it wasn't so expensive. I would purchase more.

Grandma's new wig is a little fluffy from her rocking chair, but she is so happy!

Yesterday was my grandma's 89th birthday, and when I came to visit her in Concord, I asked her if there was anything she wanted to or anyplace she wanted to go. She said she'd been thinking about visiting a wig shop since her hair is now very thin, but the only place she knew about was by appointment only. I looked up local wig shops, and VIP Wigs popped up, so I called and asked if they were open for walk ins, and the owner Mary said to come on by. My grandma's never done anything like this, and her hearing and vision (especially) is impaired, but Mary was very patient and walked us through the process. She spoke nice and loud, and was very hands on at color matching and describing the step by step process of the options she had. Despite my grandma's age, the hair she has is gray and brown. Mary brought two options out that were synthetic and heat tolerant. It costs $5 for a hair stocking to try on wigs, but Grandma tried on 2 without additional cost, and the price of the wigs were outlined very clearly before she ever tried one on. The first was a lot longer than my grandma's ever had, and she wasn't in love with it. The second one was a lot shorter, and very full. My grandma has never had very thick hair, but she liked the style and color a lot, so Mary thinned out the bangs to make it more suitable to Grandma's style. She said that shampooing the wig might help with some of the floof if it was still too full for Grandma's liking, but she also offered to thin it out free of charge if Grandma decided she wanted to reduce the volume. Grandma opted to wait until she got used to her new look, and Mary said it's a standing offer. We got all the required accessories for starting out, and Mary also cut my grandma's natural hair and eyebrows so that it would work with the wig. There was no second guessing after that! I was very impressed by the level of detail and care that VIP Wigs paid to my Grandma. Mary was very accommodating and informative, and my grandma walked out of the store feeling better about her appearance than she has in a long time. I highly recommend them to anyone who has been considering natural or synthetic hair.

Walking in for the first time, I was honestly nervous and emotional. Hair loss is such a deeply personal thing, and for a long time I didn't feel like myself anymore. But from the moment I met Rhea, something shifted. She didn't just see my hair, she truly saw me. She listened without judgment, with so much patience and compassion, and for the first time in a long time, I felt a sense of hope. What also stood out right away was how warm and welcoming the entire staff is. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with kindness and genuine care. The salon's private setting makes it feel safe to open up, and I never once feel rushed. Every step of the process was handled with such intention and attention to detail. When I finally saw the result, something so natural, so me, I actually got emotional. It wasn't just about how I looked, it was about how I felt. I felt like I had a piece of myself back. Now, I walk out of every appointment feeling lighter, more confident, and honestly, more like myself again. I can't recommend Celebration Salon enough, it's more than just a service, it's an experience that truly changes how you feel about yourself.

I used the salon's website to send a message for a wig consultation and requested an appointment. I…read morenever got a call or an email back so I gave them a call and made an appointment. I arrived for the appointment about five minutes early and checked in with the receptionist. Rhea, who I had the appointment with was within an earshot as her chair is only a few feet away. Rhea said she didn't have any appointments and I must have been mistaken. The receptionist checked the book and confirmed that I had an appointment. Rhea was in the middle of coloring/dying a hairpiece on a mannequin head, very sloppily from what I could see. She said she would be with me when she was done, so I sat down and waited and waited. While she was doing the coloring, lunch arrived for her. She told me she would eat her lunch and she would with me shortly. I expressed that we were already 15 minutes into my time and now she was going to eat?! So she agrees and has me sit in her chair while she eats. The extension area if the salon on the other side is super busy. Rhea starts off by asking me why I'm there. If you could see my hair, you would know while I was there. It is very thin at the top and this is a wig/extension/hair loss salon. I had come in for a consultation and I wanted advice. I thought I had come to a place that was professional. She said I should consider a topper not a wig. I didn't know what a topper was and ask to see one. She didn't have anything that was near to my color so she put a blonde streaked topper on my auburn brown hair. It looked ridiculous as the color was so off and the density of the hair was so thick compared to my crown. Another customer comes in with a hairpiece she needs styled or colored. Rhea stops my appointment to attend to her while I wait again. Rhea showed me a product that was a powder filler you put in your hair to fill in thinning spots. It was a good match for my color so I said I would buy it. The sample she used was the only one she had left, and she sold it to me as a full sized product even though it had been open and used. I was charged $30 for an opened sample. I later found this elsewhere for $25. I wasn't very satisfied with a sample hairpiece she showed me as it didn't match either in color or in its density. I left feeling very frustrated by the attitude and unprofessionalism of this salon owner, regarding the appointment time, delayed start due to he engagement when I arrived, eating during service, and taking another customer in the middle of my consultation. This was quite a while ago, yet the experience was so bad that I haven't forgotten it. I saw an ad in Diablo magazine which prompted me to finally write a review. Responding to owner's response: Glad to hear you no longer do consultations leaving that to your staff. My consultation with you was on 10/22/21 at 1:30pm. As I said in my review, it was quite a while ago but not forgotten as it was so memorable. Losing hair is traumatic no matter the cause and being treated without respect or compassion by a hair salon geared towards wigs, extensions, toppers, etc is inexcusable. I told my regular stylist at Salon 9 this story and she was angry about my experience at Celebration. I would not subject myself to a return visit.

They allowed me to enter the fitting room with my friend. Again very comfortable and inviting room. Everyone was warm and accommodating. We were lucky to be serviced by the owner. While my friend was trying on bras I got to talk with her. She's been in the business for over 30 years , she's retirement age yet continues to do it because she loves helping people. Very upbeat and easy to gab with. She was very positive and as I stated so accommodating wanting to know life style as to exercise, social , etc. so as best to find the right type of bras and prosthesis. We were told about different prosthesis, types of bras including fabric, the most popular and appropriate sizes for my friend's body type. Measurements were taken, and as I stated ....reasons for different bras, etc, etc. many types , sizes and patience were all involved in finding the correct fit. This lady had the patience of a saint with a fun positive slant on the total experience which was almost an hour and one half. Also a little paperwork , not much, so insurance would pay for it all. I'd say is was a really good experience for my friend and for me too. My friend asked me to write a review because she's not in the best frame of mind right now and thought I'd do better with it. Personally for myself I hopefully will never need the service, yet it's good to know I'd at least be taken care of in a positive, relaxed setting with no stress and good advice.
