They have everything you need - from braiding hair to wigs and clip ins. Plenty of products as well. They also have a punch card so if you go often, be sure to grab one. read more

This is probably one of better hair supply stores in east bay, I love their layout. It's not too heavily condensed with products. They have an amazing and well organized hair color section. They do not have incredible customer service here, but they have never been rude to me. I've never had an issue getting in and out or asking to find what I need and being out within 10 minutes. Walked in no greetings! Wow! Really! Nothing no may I help you look forward something?! No hello looked my daughter and I right in the eyes! I was planning on buying so much. My daughter and I had all kind of items we were buying. We were going to spend at least $350! Wigs, hair supplies earrings! Thanks rude people foe sending us to Chris. Chris beauty supple always stop talking and focus on their customers always! The ladies at Lynn's were so ridiculously loud! Laughing talking to each other! So Damn Loud it was uncalled for! The man at the front register stared us right in the eyes! If we were thieves I'm sure he would had talked more! I will never step foot here again! Second time I thought they would had gotten better. I like to write tongue-in-cheek smarta$$ reviews about silly people, or a heads up about various services here and there. I like when other reviewers share their experiences and warnings, especially bc it saves me time and money. It's not often that I'm truly disgusted by people's behavior, but Lyna's 'Beauty' Depot (Rude Depot!), will not escape my wrath! Mwuhahaha, no seriously... If I could give a negative rating for the rude, and awful owners/employees of this store, I would find a way. I've never entered a store, and been treated with such disdain (a few came close). The behavior I witnessed was ugly and distasteful. I'm writing a charged review, because of the way the owners were treating their regular clientele. I had just driven one hour in traffic with my fighting kids and crabby husband, so I was ECSTATIC to jump out of the car, and even more excited to buy some real hair, tape-in hair extensions!! Woohoo! Caveat: I lost my voice from a cold, but it wasn't impossible to hear me. My angel daughter was also there to help me, so this would not have been a reason for anyone to be rude or impatient. I went up to the counter for help, my daughter and I were so excited to see all the products when we walked in (aka kids in a candy store!). Upon closer examination, I noticed that nearly all of their merchandise is cheap stuff from China. If you want cheap stuff from China (I love the funky earrings I find), you can get better quality items from Shein, for next-to- wholesale prices. I would only shop here, if I wanted something right away, and if the owners were decent to their customers. Unfortunately, you have to contend with very ill-mood people, who are angry with every customer in their store for no apparent reason... So, I was exited before I knew what abhorrent attitudes they had. I went up to a man and woman at the register, and I smiled and whispered that my new amazing friend (Princess from CosmoProf in Fremont - yay!!) had sent me. I thought they'd smile at the mention of her name, bc she is AMAZING, kind, professional and graceful (they could learn a few thousand things from her). The man was super annoyed, and just snipped, 'Yes?? WHAT?!?' I very kindly asked where I could find the human hair tape-in extensions. Now, for no reason whatsoever, both the atrociously rude man, and the scowling woman angrily answer, 'we don't sell tape-in hair here! Only clip hair here!!' I was in shock, not only that I wasn't smart enough to call ahead to make sure they had what I wanted, but also bc they were both SO filled with vitriol. The man even rolled his eyes. Seriously, what happened?! You didn't win the $2billion lottery?! Neither did I rage-o! I said I'd walk around to see if I needed anything. I was trying to be polite, bc I thought maybe they were both attacked by wolves that morning or something. My sweet daughter also looked shocked and upset. I walked over to another counter with more extensions. Long story short (too late)...a different woman with a vile attitude says 'no!!' to any question I ask (even before I finish my question!?). She won't even let me drape the real hair extension next to my own long hair?? This woman covers the hair product with her hand, when I ask nicely if she can tell me the color and name, so I can buy the tape-in version of this exact item online. I have explained that my hair is too weak for sew-ins, that the hair she's holding is close to my hair color, and that I live very far away and can't come back etc. Why care if I want to see the brand/product info if you don't even sell the version that I'm looking for? The woman then snatches the hair product from my hand. I'm so shocked by now. I try to calm her down by kindly explaining that I know nothing about extensions and that I'd love her guidance given all the hair products she carries in her store. She just keeps saying 'no,' as I carefully ask about the information on the back of the box, without touching the box. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL behavior... The last straw for me, was when I saw the man and woman at the register berating (and yelling at) a really kind woman as she was paying for her items. She spoke out as she was given her purchases, "You shouldn't talk to me this way, I shop here all the time." I have no idea what funky issues the owners of this store have going on, but it's unwarranted, ugly, and bizarre. I went up to the scowler and said, 'you've all been SO rude to me, and for no reason. I've also seen you be rude to your regular customers. You shouldn't speak to people this way, I am going to make sure I write a review about how rude your are to people. Your behavior has been terrible." read more

I've been shopping here for the last 20 years. Their prices are reasonably and they very kind people that work here, it a family business. Once they start to recognize your face they're even more friendly . You can request for items they may not have in stock and they will inform you when will be in stock. read more

I will never spend my dollars at this store, EVER! After trying on a few wigs one of the associates stated, "the maximum to try on is six". After requiring us to pay for a wig cap. There was absolutely no sign stating that CUSTOMERS could only try on six wigs. ITS A HAIR STORE!!! This store is targeted towards the African American community however, they treated us as if our dollars weren't good enough for them. It baffles me on how these people can be so rude towards black people while riding the mighty dollar train on our community. This is what I suggest, set your store up in downtown San Francisco an see how well your business does without the mighty BLACK dollar. I'll be calling the better business bureau Monday morning. I don't usually say anything but as many times as I have been in this store and have never really had a good experience, this last visit was one I want to share and it was my last visit. I went to buy hair to make toppers and closures, the man and women behind the counter matched my hair color and I bought the hair (not cheap). When I got home I noticed it wasn't even close. I didn't open the package. I was told the second trip no exchange or credit. I decided to try and make it work. I bought wig pens and clips. Went back again forgot thread and needles. They gave me wrong color thread and another trip to hear no exchange or credit, I bought wig glue they gave me the wrong color I have blonde hair they gave me black so the whole thing is ruined. I will never go there agai read more

The owner literally told us we CLOSED and we had 7mins!!! They are on covid hours but the time posted on the door in the picture was 7pm. She Locked the doors on us and we drove all the way to support her establishment. This was so rude. I will never purchase from here again! read more

I love me some false eyelashes! I dabble in freelance makeup work, and when I have a session this is the place where I stock up on fake lashes. Super cheap, anyone can afford to add some volume & glamour to those eyes ;) Most are 100% human hair (not synthetic), which feel more natural, are lighter and are easier to apply. They also have a decent display of NYX cosmetics. read more

Okay so I've been coming here for about 15years literally since this place opened. I come here at least once a month to purchase $50.00+ in hair supplies accessories etc Religiously. So today I went to pick up some earrings and accessories same as usual. The transaction went south when the merchant didn't want to take my credit card, (I'm hella confused, I always purchase wit this dude, omg he's PMSing I thought hahaha) I almost used cash then thought a little more about it like you're really going to ask me for ID for my credit card when I've been coming here for YEARS, same name on the card is tatted on my collar annnnndddd to top it off he was gonna accept another card of mine... just not unlimited credit. Hahahahaha I came here last month using the same card and the month prior and the month prior. Another thing is the discount card, they offer you 10% off (which ain't sh*t in Cali) if you come and spend a certain amount of money and earn stamps. Okay so like I said, been coming here for YEARS and I literally have NEVER got my 10% Off...today was just like yeah ok f*** you too. I don't expect much other than for a shop owner to know that I've been coming here for half my adult life, remember my face especially after that many years, oh and don't treat me like a street criminal...I could've still bought my stuff with cash debit or another card but it was the principal moral fact that I've been coming here since I was young. That showed me they can't trust themselves as shop owners and in turn are passing that distrust on to loyal consumers. ALL BAD! This isn't he first time I've had a faulty experience here this was just the limit for me. So RIP to this relationship. I suggest if you desire quality and respect when you make purchases with your hard earned money (or credit) that you don't either. If I could put negative stars for complete lack of competence regarding merchant customer relations I would put -10 smooth lost a loyal customer. read more

This is the beauty supply store I frequent most because it's close to my house and usually has anything I need. Today I went by there looking for a particular type of crochet braiding hair, which they didn't seem to carry. After looking through all the braiding hair, I make my way to the door. I pass the counter and the guy behind it calls out, "Find everything okay?" I say, "No, you didn't have what I was looking for." As I'm at the door, the guy strains you see if I have anything in my hands that I'm not going to pay for. I ignore his ignorance and walk out the store. I will never be back. I do not give money to establishments that think that every black person needs to steal their merchandise. It's bad enough the anxiety of knowing that they don't take their eyes off of you as you walk the aisles but the blatant disrespect of actually checking to see if I was stealing something? I came here shopping for a wig. This store has many selections from short to long, straight, wavy, curly...price from the cheapest of $7.99 to about $200.00 ( I wasn't looking for a wig over that price, so I didn't ask if they have selections of more expensive ones) I bought one $149.99 human hair. I gave the store 3 stars because I did not like the service of the sales lady. If you don't expect good service but only care for the products they have, then I'll recommend it. read more

This stores LIES about their products!!! They sell FAKE hair claiming its 100% Remi real hair. Disgusting and disgraceful that they are selling cheap hair for the price of real hair. If we don't get a refund we will be SUING them! They cannot get away with doing this. And they lied when called until we produced the receipt then they changed their tune. Regardless no refund was offered. They sold the product that was not what they branded it to be and they will give a refund or be in court. No one and I repeat no one buy from this fraudulent store. My fiance came here looking for a wig, wig caps, and the supplies to take care of it. when she asked the lady can she try on a wig one of the people who work there told her her hair was to big and that the wig wouldn't fit. and was really rude towards it. Very unprofessional when trying to sell. My fiance was irritated by this and thought I would just let people know if you go here to be on your toes at least when talking to the lady. and the other to were just watching us everywhere we walked like we did something wrong even though we spent 60 dollars in their store. read more

"Every girl needs party hair!" said my new coworkers when I moved to Cali from Wisconsin. Party hair? What the @#$# is that? Lyna's is full of wigs, weaves, clips with hair attached, barrettes with hair attached, hair extensions and more wigs. The blond selection was rather limited but I did find some hair pieces that you clip into your hair for about $25/package. They were a nice shade of highlighted blond, not hoochie blond. My friends clipped in my "new party hair" and I went from Dorothy Hamil to Crystal Gayle in 20 minutes. (If you don't know these ladies then we are obviously born years apart). Nice people. Decent prices. One star off for not having more blonde hair. read more

***sigh*** i miss my hair ;-( I had the nicest hair extensions and I bought them here. For the life of me, I cannot remember the brand, but they were remy virgin hair and it was a little expensive $125.00 per box. The people working here don't speak very good English, but they definitely helped me pick out the right color and showed me the best hair they had. My hair looked magical when my friend did it! When I can afford it, I will most definitely get extensions again. They made me feel glamorous! read more

I came here for falsies while my cousin was looking for a wig. I asked the store associate where the wigs were, where they promptly pointed to the aisles 4-6. While my cousin was looking for a wig, I decided to wander around the store to look for eyelashes and hair accessories. The sales ladies then shout at me, "HAIR IS AT AISLES 4-6!" ... Well, I know that. -__- I asked them where their eye lashes were and they were all below the glass counter. (They had a lot of Stardel Lash for $1.59; i ended up buying 5 in SF43. As for my cousin finding her wig, the store associates were really pushy on selling her longer wigs than the short/medium real hair wigs that my cousin was aiming for. I'm taking one star off because they shouted at me like I was a dumb@$$ and another for being really pushy on selling wigs. read more

I then drove to the Concord location, where the return was processed immediately with no issues and without needing the packing slip at all. Very disappointed by the lack of communication and customer service at the Hayward store. Customers should not have to drive to multiple locations just to complete a simple return.

I spent several minutes wandering around unable to find it. It was disappointing to see staff prioritizing a personal Starbucks delivery over actually helping a guest on the floor. The Recovery: Everything changed when I went up to the front and spoke to a cashier named Helen. I showed her a photo of the product, and she didn't just point--she immediately told me exactly where it was and then walked over to assist me personally. She checked in to make sure I found everything I needed and was incredibly professional and kind. Final Verdict: If you visit this location, look for Helen. She is an African American woman who clearly understands what real customer service looks like. She saved the trip, but management should definitely look into the floor staff's lack of engagement.

My consultation was with Dr. Scott Chiang regarding several skin concerns. He explained all the different options and the pros and cons of each. For example, he explained there is a higher risk of PIH after fraxel with Asian skin. In the end, I decided to have a few small bumps (about 4-5) on my face removed via laser. If I did it that day, my consultation fee would go towards the cost of the procedure. The procedure took about 5-10 minutes and with each zap, Dr. Chiang would say, "that one's gone". The procedure was painless and with the after care instructions, everything healed in about 5 days with no scabbing. The bumps are gone and my face is smooth. Dr. Chiang referred me to an esthetician, Dana Schrieber, for my other skin concerns. Dana was also fantastic. On my first visit I spent about 45 minutes with her. She went over all the different options, and even let me see some of her own personal pictures from her own skincare journey. In the end, we decided to try the Obagi skincare system. She said I can email her anytime, and I'll have another check in with her in about a month. The price for the Obagi products through Kaiser is pretty much the same as the online price. I know there are online esthetician services, but it's nice to have someone I can see in real life taking care of my skin.

Love the skin care routine that I have now.

If the posted closing time is 7:00 PM, customers should be able to enter and make a quick purchase until that time. Closing nearly 15 minutes early and refusing to even acknowledge a customer standing outside is completely unprofessional. After reading the existing reviews for this location, it seems this may not be an isolated issue. Management and corporate need to seriously address the customer service and operating practices at this store. My daughter and I left disappointed and took our business elsewhere. Customers should not be ignored or turned away before the posted closing time, especially when there is clear timestamped documentation showing exactly what happened.

The Asian owners of this beauty supply and their unprofessional clerks are racist and very disrespectful! They do not respect their black customers and are only interested in taking their money! Furthermore, they will treat you like you have a Doctorate Degree in Shoplifting and will severely scrutinize (watch) you from the time you enter as well as leave their "Hole in the Wall," crappy looking beauty supply! So I'm a drag performer, which means I need new wig so that my luxe can be snatched and on point. I went in there today with my homegirl and when I found a way that I really wanted to wear to just try out just to see if I like it so I asked, "Can I try this wig on?". The woman and the whole family behind the fucking counter because it was like literally seven of them says straight up no only women can try on the wigs. Now had somebody said no one's allowed to try on the wigs, I would've been understanding and I would've said no problem but the fact that she said only women can try on wigs and then she looked at my best friend and then she looked at me on a dis, it had me feeling some type away this place is not only homophobic, but it's also sexist. I don't expect anybody to buy business but if you're a fellow drag queen and you're looking at this business as a place to buy your wigs, I would not recommend this place at all if I could give it zero stars I would because that's some bullshit.
