The person who fitted me and explained how to use the cpap was very kind and returning the cpap was easy. They come to your house to get it. The gentleman that collected it was very kind as well. The rest was subpar. First, I always had to wait around 30 minutes or more just to get through to talk to someone and then transferred to wait another 30 minutes more. Second, none of the online resources helped with my issue. If it did, I wouldn't have had to call. First issue I had was with the full face mask losing its seal at some point during the night. It would wake me up and no matter how tight I adjusted the straps, it wouldn't keep the seal. No way you can sleep through something that loud and annoying. What sucks about the Resmed cpap is that it has a cycle to test the seal but it only goes up to a 7. WTH! My Cpap could go as high as 20 and that's when I was losing seal. It was fine at a 7. So what a piece of crap test! Because of the seal issue, I switched to a nasal mask. That solved the problem perfectly but then I had issues with condensation. I kept waking up after snorting the water that collected in the mask. When the cpap was explained, I was told the humidity is auto regulated based on the temperatures. Well, obviously it doesn't work and because I don't want to wait 30 minutes or more each time I have an issue, I returned it. Total waste of over $500 of my own money. They need to provide more customer service help without crazy wait times. It's important to have access to people that can help you troubleshoot issues. I'm not even some older person with no technical savvy. When I had the problem with the face mask leaking, I lowered the pressure myself and set it from 20 to 15 but still had the issue. That wasn't even on their troubleshooting site. I watched a YouTube video from some doctor in Australia on how to change your settings. We should be able to get that kind of help from the company we're paying. Luckily my sleep apnea is mild. If it ever gets worse, I hope there is a different place to go because I won't be using this company again. The other thing I don't like about cpaps in general is the waste. All the supplies that end up in the landfill. They should take that stuff back to be recycled. Masks, hoses, headgear, water tank....all need replaced on a regular basis. Then sending supplies through the mail to the wrong house and asking me to knock on the door to retrieve my medical devices. Latest was exorbitant prices. No one answers the phone. Denied my husband as he was referred by another Dr,after he was in hospital with congestive heart failure and could hardly breath. The girls at desk said he would need to pay cash because, no insurance when infact he does, we just got the bill for his hospital bill and he's covered, now his legs and ankles are swelled, having hard time breathing and refusing to go to hospital. I had my appointment yesterday to get my set-up for my sleep apnea equipment. Was welcomed by Denise Butler and she was extremely helpful for my needs and so knowledgeable. She spent about an hour explaining and showing me how to do all the necessary steps for me to use this equipment. There were at least 5 pieces of paper with all the documentation and she went over all of it and made additional notes and highlighted it. I am sure if I will need more information, I can count on her for help. read more

My order for additional supplies was faxed to them three times from a sleep institute dr that uses this place quite a bit. They could never find the order not to mention each time I called I had to wait on hold for 20 to 30 min, old fashioned phone call system,. Each time I had to get back in touch with my dr to RE FAX the order over and over again. . My dr finally emailed the manager my order just so I could get new supplies this took over a month. I was always pleasant I asked serval tones is there anything I can do to help me get this accomplished. Anyway my opinion is this place is run terribly they rely on faxed old fashioned orders at one point the phone employee told me she was looking thru Piles of faxes sounds like the 80's. First, I am 100% satisfied with the service that I received at the Mesa office. The Great service has been supplied by Denise Butler. I am VERY dissatisfied regarding everything else. I would give them a (-10) I call their phone number and am usually on hold for 30 minutes or more. After waiting for over 30 minutes I hang-up the phone. So, I go online to their website and spend 15 minutes writing them an email about the problem and when I click the "SEND" button, I get an error message with some technical language. So then I have to call again. The Resmed 11 has some various defects. 1. Cannot remove the humidifer chamber and 2. Cannot remove the plug which connects the tubing. Philips had a recall on their CPAP machine. I would not be surprised if this Resmed 11 is recalled also. CANNOT remove the humifierchamber or the tubing. Bruce B read more

The doctor wrote a prescription that the insurance company would need a pre qualification to fill and I notified Valley Respiratory once they received the prescription. After a week went by I called to check on the progress and they informed me that they had not and would not contact the insurance company or my doctor and they had done nothing. They said I had to pay out of pocket and then deal with my insurance. I am asking my doctor if he can connect me with a different company as these people will not work with my situation. On several occasions it took multiple calls to try to get an answer about a technical question. Most recently I moved and notified VR of the new address. If I could give this business zero stars I would. I have experienced nothing but incompetence since I was referred here for a CPAP machine. My insurance company authorized the unit 3 days after I was referred, but it has been 4 and a half weeks, and I still do not have the unit. They constantly make excuses, and when they say they will notify me in 24-48 hours, I hear nothing for over a week. Most companies will not deal with insurance reimbursement for a CPAP machine, and only deal in cash purchase. To me, $1200 to have a unit in a reasonable timeframe might just be worth it. I have notified my insurance company of the poor service, and they are investigating to determine if they will continue to reimburse with this vendor. read more

There was an error in my order of CPAP supplies that I received in July. I didn't receive a component that was due and that I needed. The efficacy of my CPAP has been compromised. When i got my system they gave me the wrong size mask, When i called to get this corrected they told me I have to WAIT until the next refill of my masks in 90 days before I can get my new ones that were the correct size. I was unable to comfortably wear the system during that 90 days which meant my insurance dropped me from the program because i wasnt able to use the system fully thru the night. Due to this i was billed over $300 for the machine and replacement masks when they arrived. I returned the equipment the day after i was billed. I havent heard from them for months and now im getting random calls every few weeks that leave a half recorded msg and no details about Why im being called. read more

My Cpap broke. IF you do not know what a CPap is, it keeps one from dying in their sleep. I was told by my Physician to bring to this location for repair. It was a Tuesday. I was told to come back Thursday. I told them I would wait in the lobby until it was repaired. I would rather die in their lobby, then subject my wife to finding my corpse the next morning in our bed. They said, 3:30 PM. When I remained, they moved me to 12:30. Thirty minutes after the Tech began Triage, a very angry man arrived. Told the Tech, times up! A few minutes later an angrier woman arrived, replaced the hose. Told me to get out. The Angry man came back, said there was nothing wrong with my CPap. Get out. My Physician gave me a RX for a new one. I was told two days by Valley Respiratory before I could get a replacement. I got one across the street at CVS Pharmacy in two hours. I shipped the unit to Resmed for repair. Valley Respiratory just called me, two weeks later, to make an appointment to get it repaired. I hate writing reviews but I had to for this company. It has been an awful experience. I have called and ran to their location in Mesa to get out from this financial albatross. They take a credit card and with their deceptive billing charge you. I said I was done packed up my cpap and wanted to return it. Went to the Mesa location told them I would like to return it. They said I owned it now and I was not going to be charged anymore. Sure enough the following month I get a bill and am told I owe 270 dollars more. It has been an awful experience. Their billing practices are deceptive. They tell you one price then you are automatically charged 10x the quote. They require a credit card which charges automatically so you can't even stop it when there is a dispute. Don't leave a message because they will not call you back at all. I have never dealt with a company as incompetent as Valley Respiratory. First, I had a credit on my account that they could not figure out how to apply. I would get a bill. Then I would call and explain that I had a credit on my account. Eventually, they would confirm I the credit and say they were applying it. Then I'd get another bill that showed the credit was never applied. I would call again. I went through this process over and over for months. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told a supervisor would call me, but no one called. Eventually, I got a bill that said they were going to send my account to collections. I called and asked for their legal department. I explained I was out of options except to take legal action. They finally got my account fixed. I thought my problems with Valley Respiratory were over, but no. I was eligible to order three different supplies. I had enough of one so I only ordered two. They sent all three. The first time, I decided to keep the extras because I would use them eventually. The second time, I called and explained the issue. They mailed me a return label. I had to go to the post office to send back the supplies I didn't order. Then, of course, I got a bill for all three and had to call again. The next time I ordered, the same thing happened again. They sent me supplies I didn't order, I called, they sent me a return label, I went to the post office, they billed me anyway, I called again. I don't have time to do this over and over. The definition of Harassment. My mistake was not reading the reviews. Everyone at this place is having a permanent bad day, with the exception of the really nice technician that saw us initially. I didn't realize they need an "open credit card" so they can auto charge you like Verizon, Google, even AOL. Don't give it to them. Stay away from these folks. I would estimate I have had about 30 phone calls from them about virtually everything from "hey we forgot to get your credit card," to "we're planning on reporting you to a credit bureau." They're used to preying on the elderly, but, when I get a chance, I'll make sure my Primary Care Physician knows this story and not to refer them. They are used to Medicare clients where they are free to bill large amounts so they essentially can give you the CPAP machine after a year. If you are not Medicare, you will get harassed. read more

I asked to go in for my first appointment to find out how to use the apap machine. Took it home with a product called "pillows" that fit in your nose. Denise, the rep, was very nice and helpful. I decided to use the "pillows" to receive air in my nose. The pillows gave me sores. I called the company three different days. I left messages for a call back. I had left messages and no one returned my call. VERY FRUSTRATING! Finally on the third day I waited until someone answered the phone. When someone answered after a 20 minute hold they said I had the wrong department. After another 15 minute hold I talked to someone (wish I had her name) that was not very helpful or friendly. She told me to go to the website, find a new product to try and call them back to get something different. OH hell no! Hey lady, my time is valuable too! Where is your customer service?? I looked on the website quickly and told her to send me a smaller pillow. Tonight I will look at the website and read up on options. She said she would send out a smaller replacement pillow for me to try. Hopefully my experience will improve. It can't be that hard to help someone. With other choices for respiratory services you think that Valley Respiratory would work on customer satisfaction. If given the choice I would choose another company that is willing to work with the customer to help them find the right product. read more

I'm currently in their office getting a new machine since my original one isn't connecting to the cell towers. Denise has been pleasure to work with today. I've been using Valley Respiratory since I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. Today, I was fortunate to be connected with Leo for resupply. He was so pleasant, easy to talk with and explained a lot of things necessary to keep the CPAP machine in good working order, especially the reasoning in replacing parts within the subscribed time frame. Have no complaints with this business, this location and the staff. If ever there was an error, it is rectified in an efficient timely manner. I've been using Valley Respiratory Services for several years. I was never particularly impressed, but now they have become so awful, I moving to another supplier of CPAP supplies. There are several big issues. The biggest is that the people working their seem to have no clue what they are talking about. You'd have a better conversation talking to a wall. At least the wall, doesn't blame you for the problem with the equipment. When businesses start blaming the customer is the last straw for me. In addition, you have to wait a very long time to speak with someone (which is probably a blessing). Their response time to orders has gotten progressively worse over the years. Last time, I waited over 2 weeks to get supplies. My recommendation is to find another supplier with employees and administrators who are not zombies = people who can't think, attack people (i.e., customers), blindly follow the predetermined step-by-step processes, etc. read more

I have been a customer with Valley Respiratory Services for several years and after several times of what I call services that did not meet up to standards of a company that claims to be customer minded. So I finally decided to write a review of my most recent incident. On Monday, May 17, 2021, I received an automated call inquiring if I needed any new supplies. I have had problems with leakage with my mask for some time, switched to a full face mask 6 months ago and found that I didn't like, tried to exchange it but couldn't, so I went back to my old pillows mask that leaked and to wait for next time get a call for resupplies. Instead of ordering supplies, I requested a call from a representative to discuss my options. After a couple days, someone finally called, I told them what I wanted to do. He verified that my prescription indicated that I could have any mask I wanted and was told to look on line to select one and I did. Then you have to print and cut out a sizing chart to select the correct fit, not very helpful. I called back to the office, spoke with a different representative, explained my problem that I wanted to be sure to select the correct one and requested an office visit to get fitted. The earliest day I could get was over a week away which seemed a long time. I asked if they had a cancellation list, no, was the answer indicating no one cancels an appointment, or nearly ever. She indicated there was nothing she could do. I explained to her that I had just had back surgery, which didn't turn out as expected and was in a tremendous amount of pain, resulting in minimal sleep and with a CPAP mask leaking didn't help any. I was looking for some help to resolve the matter, which she didn't seem interested. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment anyway, then asked for a supervisor. After a short hold, I was told the supervisor would have to call me back and as of today, no call back. Now, I have gone to another company for my business, I will cancel my appointment, so now they will have an infrequent cancellation. I had a consultation with The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona on April 27,2023. The order for my equipment was sent to Valley RS. I have made 5 calls to the company and to date, 5/18/2023, I have received no equipment. They have told me in 4 calls that they have no received documentation needed from the physician for insurance purposes. The physician's office claims this has all been sent. I really wish I read the reviews before purchasing anything from them. I did an at home sleep test and found out I had apnea. The very first time I called them as a new customer I literally waited over 30 minutes on the phone. They certainly do not value your time. I was told somebody would call me back in two minutes and they never did. I called again and waited 25 more minutes...no answer and I hung up. They finally called me back at the end of the day and I went the next day to pick my machine up. Nobody explained to me how to use it. They took my money and sent me on my way. The people are rude, uncaring and won't budge to help you. We drove over 45 minutes from home to get to this location. There was terrible construction and traffic delays You could not turn into the place for quite a distance. The red light turn arrow was nonfunctioning and I had to make an illegal Uturn just to get out of the left lane. I ended up being about 15 minutes late. The clerk at the front desk told me I could not be seen. There was nothing she could do. The supervisor came in and also said I was too late and could not offer a solution. I said trying to make a home visit was almost impossible as well and it was a month out to get someone to come to your home. She said there was only one therapist. For the entire East Valley?? That is crazy ( although on the phone I was told there were three). So, they were not empathic about the traffic situation and said the situation out in front was temporary and that's why they didn't inform me of the troubles on the phone prior to my arrival. (The entire street was torn up-this did not happen in the last two hours!!) Anyway, after waiting a few weeks to get in, I left empty handed and angry.
