I verified the brand of the shoe, the name of the shoe, the color of the shoe, and the size of the shoe with the associate. He confirmed everything. I was unable to pick them up, so my mom graciously picked them up for me. When I saw them, the color was not right. I specifically verified the color of the shoe with the associate. Now I have to make a trip to Blue Springs, which is not close, to return the shoes and get a refund. It would have been great if the associate could've verified the color correctly.

That's when I discovered Maurices and completely fell in love with their extra short jeans. Only the basic denim comes in extra short, not the fancy embellished denim, but that works for me because I'm the kind of person who wears jeans every single day, and wears them until they fall apart, and then for a little bit longer. In the past the service here has been so-so. I've had awesome service here, and service so bad I vowed never to shop here again. The other day I came in to special order some jeans (again, I am really short and they don't always carry my size) and the young woman who helped me order my jeans was the kindest, most patient person I have ever met in retail. She told me she was new but I never would have guessed -- she was so professional! She helped me find several pairs of jeans in my size and special order them, even though it ended up taking three different transactions, and she was so cheerful the whole way. I work retail myself and I felt kind of bad that I put her through so much, but she really changed my mind about jean shopping. Normally it's a frustrating process that completely robs me of my self-esteem, and this time around it was a total breeze. Now I'm just waiting for the jeans to come in. I love that they offer that option (in order to waive the shipping fee I have to pick them up at the store, but that's fine by me) and I can safely say that I will be buying jeans from here in the future.

I have mobility issues and am dependent on the OATS bus to go shopping for groceries. It wasn't cost effective to spend $6 to go back to the store right away for a chicken that cost about the same as bus fare. Several years ago, I had an unsatisfactory chicken at Price Chopper in Blue Springs. That only happened once in over ten years. When I went back there, I was given a refund and another chicken. I should have checked the other Walmart Yelp reviews before I went. There is no question. I WON'T BE SHOPPING AT WALMART IN THE FUTURE.
