Needed back tires on my car so I called on Tuesday asking if…read moreI could bring it in on Thursday. $310 a tire, little higher than I'm used to but this shop is local to me so I wanted to use them and support the local businesses. The guy said no problem bring it in the morning, pick it up at 5. Whole day for 2 tires? But I was working half a day so I asked him if I could bring it in at 12, he said that's fine. He said he'd work with me, hence the extra star. Dropped the car off at 12:30, cops did a fake tag enforcement on the Whitestone so I was late because of the traffic. Guy said it's fine, leave the keys and return at 5PM to pick it up. About 4:20 I receive a call from Ryan telling me they couldn't manage to get to my car. That it wouldn't be ready. I told him that was f****** awful service. He replied well I could say you dropped it off at 12:30 and it's also hot outside, we booked 40 appointments...couldn't get to you. Then why not tell me that when I dropped the car off? Or before? Then he asked should I return the tires, you don't want them anymore correct? I didn't reply to that because it was a ridiculous question, what do I care? I cared about getting my rear tires done but they don't seem to care about that, I'm supposed to care what they do with the tires now? Really? Bit of a joke that convo was but I didn't find it funny, Especially now that I have to take a roadtrip for the holiday without the peace of mind I was excepting to have. Not the end of the world I guess but this was my experience at Yorktown Tire Auto Care.

When the tires registered 34-34-34-2 I knew I had a serious problem and I'm very fortunate I made it there. Geoff was kind enough to push me in quickly despite being at capacity. (I live off a 3 mile dirt road and my driveway is about a mile long with a pretty steep drop down on one side.) I called in pretty frantic and Bobby answered the phone with such professionalism. He was extremely thorough during the phone conversation, asking questions to make sure they weren't ripping me off - since I'm a little out of their area, and so they could come in and get the job done as quickly/efficiently as possible, considering I have to be up in 4 1/2 hours for work. The Owner called me back 5 minutes after setting up the tow, to confirm all details and even joined in on the ride/tow! Nicest guys I've met in the industry and I sure know how easy it is to rip someone off when it comes to car parts, tows, auto body, etc. They traveled further than the other towing companies nearby and charged me less then the other quotes I received! Got my car out safe and sound! After everything, Emerson informed me that he has an auto body shop as well, I have some passenger side damage unrelated to this tow and clearly need snow tires after these last 2 storms. I will absolutely be giving him my business for the cosmetic damage and tires! I highly recommend them to anyone in the Mahopac and surrounding areas!

The tow truck came with a old nasty driver who was pissed off he had to work on the weekend? Bad attitude. The office said I could pay them with a credit card and they were very nice on the phone . This nasty driver told me he will only accept cash payment and wouldn't let my car off the flatbed until he got cash . It's the last time I call Yorktown Towing for anything . My car broke down near my bank and now my car was towed farther away from the bank which means I had to go back to the bank get cash and return to the repair shop to pay this nasty driver . I hope this driver rots in hell , he deserves it .
