If you want ultra fluffy donuts, this is the place! I recommend the traditional glazed rings for the best donut experience. Cinnamon rolls were ok, more like a donut with frosting than a traditional cinnamon roll. I also got a slice of their shoo fly pie and it was very tasty. Bakery items are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting. The staff is very friendly. I usually go here to buy specialty items for special occasions. The staff will also let you know the ingredients of their items in case you have an allergy or you are sensitive to certain foods. This is a bonus because I like to share food as a gift, and I also like to bake special foods on special occasions and prepare cakes, pies, cupcakes, or other treats with my family. One of the best bakeries in the Lehigh Valley. Breads of several varieties are always fresh and consistently great. I really like the kaiser rolls and hot dog rolls. Donuts are fresh and delicious. Today I picked up some specialties: raspberry cheesecake, black and white cupcakes, and peanut butter Tandy cake. Always a friendly staff who is quick and efficient. When I saw the sign outside I thought the place was closed down. But not every place that makes good food looks up to par so I still tried. I don't mind pay 2 or 3 dollars for a good cupcake. The cupcake only cost 85cents that should have been my second clue. The cupcake tasted like a store bought cake like from acme supermarkets the frosting was not good at all it my hands n lips n teeth. That's ridiculous. I love donuts and often take "donuts trips" to try the best in NJ and the Eastern PA region. Hands down, Vallos has the best donuts between both of the areas combined. There is nothing else like them. You can't go wrong with any of them, but you HAVE to get the Oreo. All are amazing. Make the trip. Stopped in on a whim after getting a hankering for home made donuts and was pleasantly surprised! We had never been there before and was welcomed by a friendly woman in the bakery who was ready to answer questions and help us make a selection. The woman included 2 sample donuts in with the half dozen we got. We also got a small carrot cake ( my husband's favorite) and it was adorable! I noticed that they had fresh bread & rolls. We are planning on returning to purchase some of those soon. My husband works near the bakery and is already planning on a time when he can stop in and bring some of the donuts to work! read more

I have driven past this bakery often and decided to give it a shot because I needed a birthday cake. Nothing fancy just looking for a basic birthday cake. I called on a weekday morning to place my order, and the woman who answered the phone sounded annoyed to be taking my order. I needed my birthday cake for Sunday which I thought wouldn't be a problem since on their website and Google it says that they're open on Sundays. But I was told that they will not do a cake pick up on a Sunday. That seems odd to me there are plenty of events that require cakes on Sundays. And if you're open I don't understand why you can't make the cake Saturday and hold it until Sunday. Unprofessional so I decided to go somewhere else. Can't speak to the in person service or any of their other products, but if you're planning on placing a cake order I would go elsewhere. read more

I am thoroughly amazed there are no prior Yelp reviews for this pretty decent bakery. Their sliced bread is on the soft side and made fresh everyday. We like the bread so much we buy several loaves to freeze. Just tried their whole wheat. Very good. I tend to like crustier bread but for velvety soft, Vallos is spot on. The few sweet things we've had so far were fine. Need to explore more. Driven by here dozens of times. How'd we not stop sooner? read more

My prior comment stands. Yes im aware its half off on sundays, but the sunday selection used to be alot more that it has been the past few years. This is more than likely due to your decreased production and lack of staff for so long. Vallos is still more limited on other days too compared to how it used to be, and the products are drier/harder than they were before to include the krullers (yes harder than they are supposed to be) and sticky buns. Im happy to hear you increased production finally, but after few years of trying to go there tues through sat in the ams and seeing limited production until 10 or 11 (past the time most are already at work), plus what does come out after that time being very limited in quantity and a good portion of it going to call ahead orders, unfortunately I still at this time dont feel up to going back for now. I remember even getting the suggestion from one of you there to place an order the day before for one donut or other pastry if i wanted. But i dont know most mornings till im up if i want to get vallos for my coworkers or myself. Plus if its just for me, i think having to place an order the day before for 1 of an item is seriously going too far. I appreciate the gesture and willingness but dont think i should have to plave an order for 1 pastry or donut the day before in order to get one and HAVE to then go on my lunch to pick it up. It didnt used to be like that is all i am saying! Ill wait to hear from other friends - if they decide to go back- to see how or if it has improved. While i appreciate your response, what i said is the unfortunate truth. I do hope it is improving like you said since i used to frequent vallos as a regular customer for myself, my family, and my coworkers. Most of my reviews of the services and eating establishments in the area have been less than flattering, and deservedly so, but this place is the true, true exception. Old fashioned bakery with decor from the 50's. Donuts fried in pig lard....what a difference! My arteries cry while my mouth rejoices. They have the BEST, I repeat the BEST cheese strudel.
