I want to thank everyone who came out last night to see Tapestry Band at the SandBar on Revere Beach. It wasn't a perfect night cuz of the weather, but it didn't matter cause I had the perfect people there. The patrons one by one as they left all said the same thing "great selection of songs." I want to specifically thank Tony Anthony Aloisi (an old neighborhood friend of mine growing up) from the Decades of Rock band who sat in for me on drums. Also my son William Bagnera who did some creative videoing which I'm not too sure if I wanna see lol, but he is good at what he does w social media. Unfortunately, this place went totally downhill. We used to really enjoy coming here and then we noticed that we were being overcharged Every single time we came in. The food is not edible and and mice running around the bar area when we tried to speak to one of the bartenders/managers Jeane she was rude and not helpful and Marianne the owner who is barely even there was absolutely no help at all. If it wasn't for Bianchis they would have been shut down a long time ago! This place needs to be shut down, especially with mice running around they need to do something ! Went there yesterday to see Bam the Drummer. My wife and I sat at the bar. The purple haired bartender spilled a drink on two women sitting across from us. My wife said to the bartender joking that she is shut off. The purple haired bartender came outside the bar to tell my wife how rude she was for saying that and that she is having a bad day. Suck it up or don't bartend. Food was awful and service was terrible. I even waited 20 min for a drink while the other bartender counted out her tips. We should have just went to Floramos which has better food and always great service. Goodbye Sandbar! My absolute favorite spot in Revere! Everyone who works there is attentive, engaging & friendly every time I go there! The bartenders are amazing and always ready to make any drink that you can imagine. The food is always spot on. The appetizers are great & the menu has something for everyone! Went to the Sandbar 2 days in a row. Identical food and beverage order with two wildly different prices. ($32./and then $47.?) tried to speak to our waiter who was incredibly rude and demeaning. Asked for the Manager and was told that "she's never here" and that "I am the best you've got now" Then he points to the 80 year old lady who is supposed to be doing the lottery and said "try your luck with her" This place is getting run down and the food was marginal at best. The salad was delicious. However the so called entertainment Beau was definitely not the best! This is not the first time I've sadly witnessed Beau not being honest with what few followers he has. Since reconnecting with Beau his fans / followers are like him dwindling down and snow hadnt even started. Beau was such an unfaithful, dishonest and disrespectful to what few people follow him. I asked as his breaks were becoming more frequent and longer if he'd be going back on for another set. I was told yes by Beau himself. In watching the time and not seeing Beau return to the stage I mentioned the same question again. Beau this time not minutes later but a good while later when I said if he was going to do the set he mentioned he would be back on stage again. I was then told by Beau he was not going back on stage. I had waited as he mentioned that he would be performing and that was a definite lie. What a waste of time, aggravation and definite disappointment. It's no wonder sadly your business is not packed as it previously had been. This as Beau I'd definitely not the best entertainment and he lacks honesty when misinforming those asking him if he was going back on. A definite disappointment it's no wonder a few months ago I was the only one waiting for him to perform and that night he never set up and left without performing. We enjoyed a couple cocktails at this bar. Like the ambiance. My martini was strong and because of that I gave this bar 3 versus 2 stars. The grape coolaid cocktail was disappointing. We have a go to place back home that makes a similar drinks and puts this one to shame. The other cocktail was on special and made of rum. Husband said the first drink was good but that was it. First off let me say- I love the ambiance.. it's a divey beach restaurant/bar. You can order pizza at the counter next door which is within the same building. We ordered half cheese & half sausage, mushroom, onion & olive. The cheese half was great but other half of the pizza wasn't so great. They put artichokes on our pizza and we never asked for any artichokes. The wedge salad was AMAZING!!! The tomatoes were perfect along with the bacon nice and crisp... not burnt. I ordered a pizza at Bianchi's, and while I waited I decided to have a drink at the bar. I couldn't even begin to think what would take place! I was there for at least 10 minutes before anyone would acknowledge me. The male bartender finally looked over at me, and I gave him my order. My drink isn't difficult, but i usually say it slower for a good reason and wasn't in an insulting manner whatsoever . The couple next me were present and even made a comment about his behavior. He then proceeds to ask me if I was a teacher. I was taken back by the question, and went on to tell me some crazy story about when he was young how the teachers spoke slowly to him as I did. All of a sudden said I had no class! Beyond words! I really don't know how they are staying in business. Bianchis's has great pizza and is not part of the Sandbar. read more

I am a local resident c& appreciate good food & service to match (btw- I'm also a REALLY good tipper- extra cash when treated right) but this place has significantly deteriorated- I waited over an hour for their cheeseburger without even an apology- this happened at 2 different occasions-so I spoke with the manager the 2nd time- she never once said she was sorry - only thing she did was not charge me for the burger! Seriously? I never got the damn burger, why woul I pay for it? and her reply was, "well, you're not coming back, so why do I care?" What kind of "customer service" is that? I sure do hope they get new owners and managers soon, but until then, I will not return and thought I'd share such horrible service with diners who care! read more

Great pizza. Bewildering sit down experience. The most complicated restaurant I have ever been to. First the good. Bianchi's Pizza, which sold its original location and was occupying an oven space at now-closed Renzo's, is back! The pizza is just as you remember it, and gets 5 stars as always. It's very popular, so be prepared for a 30-60 minute wait. Here's where it gets complicated. Bianchi's Pizza (on the left side with the takeout counter) is still a completely separate business from Bianchi's at the Sand Bar (the sit down restaurant), despite both having the name "Bianchi's" and a complete lack of signage explaining this. This is important, because YOU CANNOT ORDER PIZZA AT THE SIT DOWN RESTAURANT. I found this out the hard way. We asked to sit at a table, which took quite a while because they are understaffed. The hostess never explained that you can't get pizza in the restaurant when she sat us. We waited for 20 minutes for the server. He brought the menus, but puzzlingly, we saw salads and ceviche, but no pizza. Hmmm....We finally asked for the pizza menu, and he then informed us that we can't order pizza. For that, we had to get up and stand in line at Bianchi's Pizza (45 minute wait). I looked at him with puzzled eyes. He said, "Well this is 'Bianchi's at the Sand Bar'" as if that explanation somehow should have caused a light to go off in my tiny brain that pizza was not served. I mean, who would expect a restaurant that has "Bianchi's" in its name to serve pizza? Thankfully I wasn't in charge of the tip, because it would be one of those rare instances when it would have been $1. So all in all, a 2.5 hour experience to get 2 pizzas. If pizza and soda is all you want, skip the sit down experience entirely. And "Bianchi's at the Sand Bar," get your #&* together and figure out this dilemma with Bianchi's Pizza! Customers are coming to "Bianchi's" for pizza, not ceviche, and if you continue this practice, you are just going to have more resentful people like me writing long reviews and refusing to ever sit down at your place again. Put pizza on the menu and let people order it. Figure out a percentage rent agreement with Bianchi's Pizza. Make it simple for your customers. The end result will be more business for you. read more

We walked in with a couple of slices of pizza for our family. Planned on eating at the restaurant as well. When we weren't greeted at all. I headed to the bar to ask how they do things, waited patiently to be noticed for a few minutes. Offered to order at the bar but was told that a server would come to us. At this point I wasn't frustrated at all. When server came to us, she was clearly over the top about the whole situation going on about how she 'allowed' us to sit and eat pizza (from attached establishment of the same name) and that we could speak to the manager if we wanted to. We followed our plan and ordered food and drinks from her (we should have left) and ANOTHER server came over, also stressed, introducing himself and welcoming us to the restaurant. The vibe was SO bad in this place- we were treated as if we had threatened the entire staff by asking for a menu. 100% do not recommend. We should have been clear about the crappy treatment and walked out. Also, we were charged 4$ for a fountain ginger ale and 3.50 for a soda water- when the rest of us had ordered drinks. We recently stopped by at Bianchi's at the Sand Bar, our first time since pre Covid. Mary and Stephanie the bartenders were very pleasant and accommodating. Mary explained the process of ordering our pizza separately from the restaurant and provided the Sand Bar menus which looked great! But, since we were in the mood for a Sunday afternoon pizza, football and drinks at the bar we ordered our pizza and within 15 minutes our delicious crispy thin crust pizza was ready. The view of the beach and ocean from our seats were awesome as well as the open concept windows which allowed for the fresh air to flow in. We will definitely be back! I can't give this place any stars , I only sit their for bianchis pizza ,,, to the waiter and waitress working yesterday afternoon with not one table besides me and my grandson who has autism, the both of you are very disturbing people to roll your eyes and laugh at him , every time we go their you make us feel like you for some reason don't want to wait on us , I always tip real good I've been a bartender my whole life so don't exactly no what your problem is except you two adults making fun of a young boy with a disability,,, your disgusting,,, thank god for the owner of bianchis taking care of us and making our stay much better! Who do you have to know to get the bartenders attention? Went to the Sandbar for pizza and a beer last Monday night. A few patrons and a few customers. Seem kind of dead for the summer season. One reason might be the Unfriendly bartender. No greeting or introduction. "Jimmie" seem more interested in doing the dishes and talking to his only friend in the world it seems at the end of the bar. His back turned all night. Typical non attentive service. We met family here for a Friday lunch . We had wings , nachos , calamari, drinks and I had a burger and fries . The calamari was excellent. Different in the sense that it was deep fried not lightly fried . The pizza place kitchen next door opens to the dining room . Many customers were having lunch and then getting pizza to go . Our waiter was excellent with a nice sense of humor . When he came out with a dessert and candle and singing to celebrate my son's birthday, many customers joined in. After years of visiting this restaurant regularly, I will not be seen there again. I'd rather spend my money at Dryft or get a pizza at the FineLine. Bianchis (Previously known as Renzos) was my 'Go to' spot every time I wanted to grab a cold beer, have a bite to eat in the evening, or whenever I had guests visiting from out of town. The pizza is still great, but what the new restaurant management did to the place is nothing short of a disgrace. I told my husband and his friend who was visiting from Germany to meet me there for dinner after work and we were treated like absolute scum by the waitress, manager and the staff at the bar. And mind you, we were there for a quiet dinner. I've never been more ashamed of a recommendation I've made and I know this would have never happened with the previous owners and staff. It's holy week for me, so I decided to walk in and ask if they had Margarita pizza - to cut down eating meat during Easter week. We wanted pizza from Bianchi's and after some confusion when entering we figured out that you order from Bianchi's counter but eat in The Sandbar. A waiter approached us in an inappropriate for the restaurant industry black tank top. He took our drink order. We advised him that we were ordering pizza. It took forever for our drinks to arrive which he plopped on the table. We ate and then wanted to leave. Not a server in sight! My husband went to the kitchen and found one. I went in yesterday for a drink & an appetizer. We ordered 2 strawberry/basil margaritas. It took the bartender almost 15-20mins to get us our drink. My 1st thought was ok, maybe he's never made them before seeing he kept reading what I think may have been a cheap sheet on the wall? But when we finally received our drink I must admit it was absolutely delicious, and the bartender noted himself after stick a straw into the shaker our drink was made of so he obviously made more than needed for our 2 drink I a saw him put the shaker off to the side, not in the sink to wash. We then ordered a 2nd drink, which this time was served in less than 3mins flat. I saw him not only grab the shaker with the 1st drinks leftovers, but add extra ice too each glass to make it look full. The $13 a piece drink was nothing but watered down ice from the first batch. I wanted to say something, but figured it just wasn't the aggravation, but the icing on the cake was when we asked for the check he told us we had to wait because he had to go to the bathroom!! First time here and what and Experiance!! Our bartender, Mary was AWESOME! Matt, the GM came over and talked to us and made us feel at home. He explained what their goal was, to make you feel warm and welcome, and they achieved it 110%!!! Bianchi's pizza was on point as always. The Sand Bar, what an amazing place. It's all homemade. I'd advise to avoid this place if your trying to have a good slice of pizza. This place is not what it USED to be. Previously it was normal good classic pizza. Now, it's just sadness in a box, with Rude customer service. Once you go here, and come back to read the reviews, you'll understand the bad reviews. Literally went 100% downhill as soon as this location opened. Not only has it been the rudest service the two times gave it a chance, but today I've waited 1hr before getting served an old reheated pizza. Not to mention the pizza looked horrible. Are you kidding me??? Got my money back and will never be back again. Don't get me started on the insane service at sandbar or whatever the hell it's called. Oh wait. I didn't get any service neither did any table around me. The waitress just tended to one table and in the entire hour we were there she didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink. It's one of those spots you drive or walk by... food taste, looks & smells great. So why the TWO stars?!? The WAIT! Do not come here hungry, from the time we sat down it took 54 minutes for the meal to come out. We ended up killing the app nachos & took the entree to go.
