So initially, my experience was pretty good. My truck shows up at 7 o'clock last night got half of my belongings in the truck and then lo and behold, I find out that my sales rep told me I only needed 515 feet and I needed triple the amount. How does a sales rep get it wrong. The truck drivers asked if I sent the sales rep pictures or a video of my belongings. I said no they didn't ask. He asked for a box count, and then a count all the other miscellaneous items that had to be shrink wrapped and packaged for me. At 10 o'clock at night, I had a shell out more money so they could finish loading up my belongings to move to Arizona. I left the sales rep a message last night and first thing this morning. He does not have the decency to call me back and happened or why it happened. I am hoping somebody from management calls me. I want to understand why this happened. lessons learned if j ever need to move ling distance again. read more

I have to give credit where credit is do. From the initial call I received verifying my yelp request, to the confirmation of the appointment, everything was done as according to plan. The rate of $75 an hour was very respectable. The mover, Omar, was very professional. He is truly one of the hardest workers I have met. I estimated the job to take longer but Omar hustled his teammate to complete the entire move with driving included in 2.5 hours.. Unbelievable. I have given his name as a referral to a loved one who is also moving. I was blessed to have a great worker like Omar taking care of my personal property. This is simply an update to address Delores S., the Business Manager who replied to my initial review. Hopefully she sees this and can honestly and transparently respond: Does Value Movers only employ three movers on your staff? Do you not have enough staff to accommodate your scheduled workload when others are out sick? If not, do you plan on expanding your staff in the future to avoid issues like this? I ask with the same sincerity you granted me when you stated, "please accept our sincerest apologies". Side note: I'm very happy with the movers who ended up accommodating me at the last minute. To those who had a good experience with Value Movers, I'm legitimately happy for you as I didn't. I hope Value Movers expands its staff to avoid situations like this in the future. I called and gave them what I needed to move and where I was going. The quote and the actual time was exact. The Movers Omar, Orland, and I forgot the third persons name, Were professional in every aspect. They arrived early worked the entire time and their only break was driving from house to house. As being professional dressed the uniforms where clean and even has they where working would adjust their shirts back into their shorts. They also had a good sense of humor. The new residence has some tight doorways and hallways and they had blankets on the floors and around the doorframes so not to damage anything. I would highly recommend Value Movers and this team of movers. After they where done even though I know what was moved I was still asked to look inside the truck to make sure they did not forget to take something out. read more

Value Movers were great. They worked with me when I had to make changes and multiple stops. They called to confirm and showed up at 7:56 am. Their ETA was 8-9. Both Omar and Orlando were our movers and they worked really hard all day. Both were very gracious and accommodating. They even took a tv mount off that I hadn't been able to when I asked. They worked continuously loading and unloading throughout the day. Every item was broken down if possible, then wrapped and protected before being loaded. Even the crazy bunk / trundle beds with stairs! They really were exceptional to work with. We will have to move again and I won't hesitate to use them. Great workers and customer service. read more

We place a lot of value in online reviews when we choose new vendors, and I must admit that I was initially a little skeptical that Value Movers only had a couple of Yelp reviews... I then learned that they were established in Jacksonville in 2020, so everybody's got to start somewhere, right? We gave them a chance, and we are SO glad we did. Omar and Justin arrived EARLY on move-in day (who does that?) and safely and expeditiously moved our two-bedroom apartment from downtown Jacksonville to a three-story townhome in the Fernandina Beach Historic District (roughly 40 miles). The guys were incredibly professional, courteous, and experienced as they disassembled/assembled our king bed, wrapped all our furniture, and even moved several large plants. There was zero damage to our belongings, and we ended up saving at least 40% on our move, based on other quotes we received. I can't say enough about them. This is a good, honest company with some really good crews working for them.. The guys showed up on time (both times) and completed the job quickly, effectively and accurately. The phone operators were spot on and were efficient and professional and providing the estimate and following through with it. Some of the other companies out there would do a text estimate and then disappear on the day of the move because something came up. We are downsizing and had some larger items to move to storage. Omar and Marvin were very professional and hard-workers. They showed up in the tine frame they gave and didn't stop moving until the last piece was in storage. They wrapped all the furniture in plastic wrap and were careful in handling. This is an update to address Delores. First and foremost Delores sounds like the company has a gap between scheduling and the moving team. Which leads to my question of why should poor coordination on your part constitute an emergency on my part? Seeing when the scheduler spoke with me for the booking she said NOTHING about a box for a stereo or EMPTYING dresser drawers. And I called back a couple days before to verify on the dresser. Sounds like this is a ploy to add extra time to my bill if I would have to do this once the movers are onsite. Because if that was communicated from the scheduler I could have either been prepared when the movers arrived or choose another company. Again after noticing the type of dresser I have this became a problem. I have moved before the other company this wasn't a problem. And the other companies had boxes on their trucks to sell which is a legitimate question my husband asked. And for the record Adrian CAME IN MY HOUSE WITH AN ATTITUDE!!! So when asked about a box his response wasn't professional then to come in and look at the dresser and say empty the drawers when that isn't what I was told by scheduling......how would you feel? So of course as a customer at this point my husband is stressed and aggravated. Moving is stressful enough but to add an insufficient, insulting, unprofessional moving company that walk in with attitudes that I am paying will piss any normal person off. Again your scheduler knew my move was to a 2nd floor when I scheduled the move so any of the above concerns you are stating should have been told to me then so I could have made my decision based on the correct information provided. I will state again you called me that day per my request and i will stick by you just " band-aid " the situation. To address why did I stay with your company that day I had my back against the wall. I had to be out so who else could I get on the same day and you agreed to not send Adrian back. So I had nothing else to accept. And let's be clear about your "courtesy discount " I make more than that per hour at work so it was insulting. I misheard you because when I spoke with Christy I had to have her repeat it and I said I thought it was more oh well. So what did I save exactly Delores? Yes when Jerome showed up he did his job well maybe he should train Adrian on customer service. But I will stand by my statement there are other companies with way better rates and definitely better customer service from beginning of the experience. read more
