I always come here first when I'm thrifting. There's a big parking lot, ample parking spaces. It's really easy to donate items, the drop off area is marked by cones and you can drop off just by driving thru if you want to. I always find cool puzzles and great kitchen stuff!

Used Walmart shirt, barely less expensive than a new one. Probably more if you add your bus fare or gas to get there.

Who in the world prices items there? The amount of times I've seen used clothing from places like Walmart, Target etc being priced only $1-$3 lower than that same garment brand new is mind boggling. That's in addition to more well known name brand items being ridiculously over priced. This place used to be great for deals and helping people afford used stuff, doesn't seem to be that way anymore.

Value Village, like most thrift stores in rough neighborhoods, is fairly filthy, and 95% of what they have in stock is pretty much junk. Fortunately, the store is very, very organized for a thrift store, and their stock changes often. They also go to great care to bag items that are part of a set, and they put nicer/rarer/collectible items behind the counter, for display, with a higher price. That keeps the item(s) from being damaged, or stolen. I didn't have any luck on my visit, but when I go back, I'll go closer to their opening time, and see if I can score something. Tip: Bring hand sanitizer. Lots of it.

Great place to get lost in and find amazing deals. Never been here and didn't find something to bring back to life.

Easy to donate curbside from your car during COVID-19. Employee was able to direct us and offer the donation receipt & coupon contact-less.

The housewares dept is overpriced on most of the items, but not outrageous. I have seen higher prices at Goodwill.

This dude was so instantly nasty to me, dismissive, condescending, just awful. I literally don't even know what I did wrong but try and buy a stack of books and try to get a discount cos I was buying a whole stack! Never ever before met a rude person here in the twenty years I've been coming (since before ravens stadium was built and they were across the street). I've bought thousands of dollars worth of appliances here (2 $500 stoves, a $1000 fridge, two dishwashers, and two washers and dryers), not to mention hundreds upon hundreds worth of lumber, trim, windows, doors, miscellaneous hardware, etc. I bought 400 dollars worth of upholstery cloth one time alone. I come in, I don't mess around, I know what I need and I am a friendly nice customer. (Because they use your phone number when you buy, also? they should be able to SEE this). I was buying BOOKS. Books are not their main business (and to be honest their prices are so out of scale it's crazy compared to thrifts--10 dollars each for a used hard over cover book from the 80s? I think there was one vintage item or two--I collect golden book kids encyclopedias) In the past they've basically tried to GIVE me books I wanted to buy! I wasn't buying anything from the "special glass cases. I asked Josh what they could do for me on these 20 books that I promise no one wants. (I promise). I picked up so many cos I have always been given a little break on stuff here! It's literally the way I thought they do business!!!! Nope. Not a single red cent. Off ANY book EXCEPT one they wanted 20 dollars for that didn't cost 20 new! (No it was not old or vintage!) I had 100 bucks of books in my cart he couldn't do 80? He wouldn't even discuss it and when I was frankly totally taken aback by this since it's so counter to EVERY EXPERIENCE IVE HAD THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS--he threatened to call security on me!? For trying to bargain?????? These were all crap books. I want them for myself and to show my husband AND I make art from them. I'd have paid literally 10 for every set of four of these books at thrift. They wanted 10 and 15 dollars EACH. It wasn't just he wouldn't deal at all on price. He treated me like a criminal for no reason at all. He had his hand on his walkie talkie and when I kind of laughed just thinking he was driving a bargain he said he was going to call security on me!!!! He did this because I had the temerity to say "come on, not any discount at all? I'm buying in bulk!" And I mentioned I've never had them not come down on price on anything ever! I am a short, friendly 53 year old mom. fyi. What the living heck is going on with this place? It was SUCH an unpleasant and weird experience. I feel horrible. I will take my business to loading dock.

I also could see as more residential buildings are opening in the area, how this goodwill will have the potential to improve. The value is okay, definitely not great. Especially considering the limited quality selection. And to be honest, from the simple questions I asked about wanting to donate items, the staff seem beyond under enthusiastic. They could barely tell me how to donate. I'll come back to donate, but probably not to buy or search for anything. Realistically, I'd rather drive all the way to Towson, as that goodwill is infinitely better!

We break them quite often, but that's okay because we never buy them new. We grew up thrifty and there's no shame in that. In fact, I totally recommend thrift stores. Why would you pay full price for something that you could possibly get for $2? We've been in this store before, and truthfully, it's not my favorite. It's incredibly small compared to most thrift stores I've frequented, but it was convenient, and we did accomplish our goal. Four black plates for less than $10. The woman at the register said that if we had been seniors, we could have gotten them 60% off because it was Wednesday. That's something to keep in mind for my older friends. Still, I love a deal, and in this economy you should too. Thrift Life FTW
