There are 11 locations in Atlanta. The snellville location is closest to my home. Although only about 10 minutes drive, I do not visit as often as I visit the Tucker location. Which is 15 minutes away from my home. I have better luck finding amazing pieces at the Tucker location. But last visit to Snellville store was bananas. I left out with an amazing thrift haul from the Snellville location, including the DVF dress. read more

I've been patronizing VV since we relocated in 1994 from NY. I've ALWAYS found quality coats for my growing fam as we navigated b'tween the "mild" GA winters & below 20° Nor'easters of Long Island. VV has always been a Godsend. Clothes are reasonably priced for the specific item (unlike another chain that prices ALL 'short sleeved tops (including tank tops at newer than WM prices.) I've found formal dresses for an anniversary cruise, suits for our boys to attend weddings, gowns for proms, beautiful fun sundresses for our summer getaways, wonderful fall sweaters, and great classic skirts so I've never scurried to find them when my "mombod" changes. They also have the greatest sandals and boots and accessories! It's hard to believe I said 28 yrs ago, "No dressing rooms??! They'll NEVER stay in business!!" I just make sure I wear leggings & a pullover cami when I go. That way I can just slip stuff on. If it fits over these next-to-skin items, I know it'll fit over my unmentionables. I also love the exchange policy (for those less comfortable w the "open dressing room". I've never had an issue. Staff at the 3 locations nearest me are professional, store is well organized (and quickly straightened up after discount day) but even if I miss it, I LOVE that they don't pull ALLLLL the color tagged discount items like GW and there's always TWO discounted colors. I also LOVE & Appreciate that VV has continued to organize by color& item. Unlike GW, where the trend has turned to mishmashing ALL 'tops' no matter season or color by size. This is under the concept of "if you make the customer go through each item, they'll stay longer& buy more." Well, not this 'seasoned sister'! My time is precious. If I need a cream tank to go under my brown suit for my business luncheon, I'm not even attempting GW! I'll go right to Value Village. If I don't see the color scheme, I can move to another group that will work. Not pick through a t-shirt huddled between a pj top clumped next to a sweatshirt! Who does that?? In the immortal words of Sweet Brown, "Ain't nobody got time for that!!" Please keep your stores the way they are! Organized by item, color, type. Oh! And the music is great, too! From Sinatra to the Supremes to Journey to James Brown to Michael Jackson! Even heard some Bob Marley! Don't worry...cause every little ting gonna be ah'right! Ya man! They just opened on 6.28.18. So my first visit was shocking, in a good way! I loved this store! 1. The store is AMAZINGLY clean, organized and very, very, very easy to shop!!! All women's pants are together regardless of petite, misses and plus! Etc. 2. Every employee I encountered was super nice! 3. No fitting rooms! Some people would see this as a down side, but not me. I prefer to take a chance and try on at home! 4. They have a return policy! For store credit only, but still better than most thrift stores. 5. The last Wednesday of the month is 50% off the entire store! No exceptions! If you are a thrifter, check it out! read more

Worth visiting. Like any thrift store it's hit or miss, but I've found good things here. First time I went I found a Georgia county history -- first time in my life I've ever seen one outside a library or antiquarian bookstore, and it was less than $2. Staff is unusually friendly. I love this place and spend way too much time here. I usually visit once a week and find SOMETHING. I wish they were open on Mondays still but heck I can live with that. Wish they got more stuff in like they used to but covid I think has slowed down donations and staffing everywhere is down so it's understandable. The cashiers are super sweet and personable and the manager is busy but will stop to help if you need him and do his best to resolve any issues and help you test your items if electronics are involved. I have found some awesome buys here, just got a really nice pair of hiking boots I couldn't be more pleased with. I wish they provided dressing rooms but at least there are mirrors placed throughout the store so you can see the fit of certain items before you buy. Almost sad it's so convenient to home because it does make it so easy to stop by. Also get to smell the Chinese Buffet at lunch,on the way in and out which saves calories unless you get enticed in to eat by the aroma! read more

I made a true comment about how I was treated when Applying for a job and during 2 interviews that I had at the Conyers location, on a facebook post Atlanta value village posted about hiring at all locations. They deleted the post and blocked me! Most companies are professional when faced with constructive criticism and look into the problem not cover it up and punish the one who was treated poorly! I used to be a loyal customer even after being mistreated.... but I will no longer give my hard earned money to a company who mistreats their customers or enployees! read more
