The employees were like a revolving door due to poor management/owner/employee communication. Working here was hell, from inconsiderate customers to low unlivable wages. The wash was sketchy 90% of the time between a blind employee being able to drive customer cars to the spinners damaging customer vehicles. I have never ever worked at a place that was so inconsistent and nasty to their employees. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service and how clean my truck was when they were done. It looks like it did the day it rolled off the lot! Just a shame! They are so ridiculously bad! We Had our oil changed and they left the oil filter loose and all the oil drained out! Made a terrible spot in our driveway!!!! Thankfully we noticed In time. Called to let manager know and he was so apologetic we decided to give them another chance. When we went back we told the guys at check in again just to be sure and also the guys in the garage what had happened before. We were as nice as can be and guess what!?!?! They did it again!!! Living in Wisconsin I use Car Buffs every other week for two cars. I have been doing this now over a year. I do not use this business only in the winter but summers also due to living on a dirt road. I took my sedan in yesterday and my truck in today. There is not much communication with the management because I believe they must be swamped with paperwork. Always behind closed doors. Today was the first day I had a situation that I asked to speak to a manager. The person behind closed doors seemed not to be aware of what was going on in the front of the house. I ended up speaking with Carson who may have been in management but he did not introduce himself so I have no idea. I explained my situation and was not given a thorough answer. He smiled but did not go out of his way to understand what I had explained. Basically his response was we always do it this way. Having trained many people through Marriott and many 4 and 5 Diamond resorts it would seem that he was simply thrown into a position to sink or swim. He was nice but seem to have no authority to make a decision on his own. The line was pretty long today which was fine. I apparently got in the line where the "oil change cars" have better treatment. As I patiently waited a car was pulled in from the side taking my spot. I was already behind 4 cars. When they began bringing in the second privileged car I got out and mentioned it. I was told that sorry but they had an oil change. Ok so what? Very disappointing in that response and the one from Carson. Once in they did a good job on the truck. I am aware of shortage of staff and did take that into consideration before making this review. There were a number of things that could have been done to satisfy me the customer. I hope it is not getting the point to where they simply heard you in and heard you out. Great little wash and many items to purchase while you wait. I normally make a small purchase on top of my wash. Today I did not. Would suggest to review during a morning meetings not to blow off the customers. Repeat customers share experiences with their neighbors, church family and others. Hopefully my next visit I will be treated as a vip even if I do not get an oil change. read more

I went to Car Buff's because I felt they could help me get off the big splatters and stuff from traveling better than I could. My car was cleaned already inside, but I paid for the Better Wash when I saw the pricing. I was surprised to see the price increases. Not impressed. My inside mats were still wet, and the wiping down inside the doors wasn't as they use to do. Just disappointed. I will take to some of the other washes and take my own towels next time. Have always had amazing service and quality. We drive 40 miles to get there. However, took the truck in and was sorely disappointed. One spot missed would have been understandable as they were busy. However, there was still sand in the cup holders, the counsel was not washed, still grass in the wheel well, and one of the doors didn't even get wiped down. Last week my white car left with visible dirt on back bumper and trunk. Today I took my Van to be cleaned. Since it is handicap accessible it has no middle or right front seat so pretty easy to vacuum. Never again! Visible dirt everywhere. I'll save the extra $20 and go to a drive thru wash across the street and clean the interior myself next time. I don't expect a "detail" but I do expect the cup holders, edges, and VISIBLE dirt to be sucked up. Had to flag someone before leaving to clean my window that had the wash marker on it. Really? To top it off, auto door locks were pressed down and when i got home and finished cleaning it myself- my keys got locked in the car. Needed to call locksmith. After wash wheel wells still filthy dirty, bottom of rear quarter panels extremely dirty, interior of front inside doors not wiped down and left very dirty, when they threw floor matts back in car soaking wet, dirty water splashed on interior leaving water marks in various places....see pictures please. While I was waiting for my car I overheard someone saying they just had to re-do three cars that came out poorly. I will not go back after this miserable experience. read more

They said give them ten mins we did he said it looks alot better well i mean if that only took you ten mins. What did you do in the five hours in detailing it. Worst car wash I have ever visited. Why? I paid $25 for a "best" wash and got nothing more then a hose down with some flashing lights. The associates charged with wiping down the car, 5 of them, where done in 2 min's. I even grabbed some towels and started wiping down my own car since they didn't care or where not trained to wipe down anything other then the outside. The door jams and interior did'n't get more then a fart. This isn't what customer service is about. Good luck and your damn lucky Wausau does't have more full service car washes because CarBuff's would be out of business. This place sucks! read more

I have been going to Carbuff's since it opened, and it they have been consistently good. My car is never cleaner. Carbuff's has employees wipe the car down, and they do an excellent job, much better than hoses and blowers could err do. Employees are friendly, and the store is clean. They offer tea and coffee while you wait. My car stays cleaner longer and is certainly worth the higher price. The business is family run and it shows. They take good care in the whole operation. read more

I work for a service company, my manager requested I take one of our company cars there to get detailed after an employee quit and left it very dirty inside. It also needed an oil change, so I figured have them do that too. I dropped it off stating they can have it until done, requesting the interior detail and oil change. Well the guy had no idea how to use the key fob... then couldn't figure out that its a Dodge Ram Tradesman van.... he's all like "that looks like a Grand Caravan!" And then his system didn't show what engine was in it, so he was confused. He called over another guy and told him I wanted the interior detail. The guy starts complaining of the ladder on the roof rack. I told him INTERIOR detail. He said I need to schedule an appointment for the detail bay, I told him I would leave it here as many days as he needed, he said "I still need to schedule the bay." I said, you know what, forget it, change the oil and ill pick it up when you are done. SO they call me 20 minutes later saying they want to upgrade me to some wash package and they will vacuum out and clean the interior, and ask if I want the empty back vacuumed too. I said, well yeah if its included, sure! They balk on that and I said, whatever, just do what ever is included. Well I get back, they took the ladder off, but refused to put it back up, but had no problem standing there watching me put it on. It was $72 dollars and the interior still looked terrible. The icing on the cake was pulling out of the lot and the light for low washer fluid comes on. The tech can't even top off the washer fluid.... That is item #1 on their alleged 16 point inspection. You know what, I am glad they didn't put the ladder back on. The monkeys working there probably wouldn't have secured it and it would of flew off on the highway killing a family of 5. My expectations were certainly not met, I am very disappointed in the results, the attitude and competence of the employees was also very disappointing. This was my first and last visit here, I cannot recommend this place to anyone and sorry I ever stepped foot on the property. read more

They left the engine oil cap off on the first oil change of my new vehicle!!! I didn't find out until 3 months later when I refilled my washer fluid. At least the cap was still under the hood and not lost. The only thing they offered to make up for their error was a free car wash. I've been loyal to CB's for over 10 years. I've always given them the benefit of the doubt since it's just mainly teenagers working there. But I've gone there two days straight to get both my cars washed. I have to say I will not be going back. Their service is poor. Someone needs to take the time to teach the staff on how to use a vacuum, I don't think they know how to use one. Simply taking a quick glance and determine it's not dirty is not how it should be done. I always take a quick glance to see what is dirty then always glance at the same spot to see if they've cleaned it. The answer is always no. Customers take our cars to your business when we are on the go and need a good clean. We pay A LOT of our hard earned money to expect cleanliness. You guys are not living up to your standards. I have had good experiences with Car Buff's in the past, but their service has gone downhill. I was there on a not very busy Saturday and paid extra to have them clean out the hatchback area. When I got my car back, there was visible dirt on the console and on the seats.
