With an appointment the next day the thing took about an hour and while it was on the lift the did a full check and emailed me a very detailed checkup. They found that I had a screw in my right rear run flat tire, which had just needed a fill. They ordered the tire and popped it on the next day. I'm glad to know that these guys are there. My car was having issues on a busy Saturday, and despite being packed with scheduled appointments and walk-in customers making urgent requests, they somehow managed to squeeze me in. The staff stayed remarkably calm and professional even with all the demands coming at them from every direction. The store had 5 walk in customers and 3 appointments come in while I was there, everyone including myself walked in with a problem hoping they fixed it, they all went out of their way to listen and actually care to help. Everybody from mechanics walking by when entering the shop to the service desk managers also all took the time to say hello when passing by after I checked in. What impressed me most was how they handled the hectic atmosphere - they gave every customer attention while efficiently taking care of everyone's car problems. Not only did they fix my issue, but they did it without making me feel like I was imposing, despite not having an appointment. They even gave me other recommendations showing proof of suggested work needed including picture's and descriptions, taking the time to also do while this while swamped with a busy store. This was hands-down the best service experience I've had at an auto shop. They turned what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth resolution. If you need car repairs, especially in a pinch, this is definitely the place to go. I walked out of here faster than dealerships I've had appointments at! Within the last two years, they were able to diagnose problems that nobody else could. Most of my appointment scheduling has gone through Bob, who is really helpful. Today I also got to deal with Eric during the payment process, and he was very kind. As far as the mechanics go, I've never had any issues with their work. They really try to handle your car with care and precaution. (Today Jon worked on my car and did a great job). And what I mean by that is they are... A)Are highly proficient in their work. While waiting for them to correct their incompetence the guy comes in and gives me $40 and apologized for the inconvenience. I went to local Jiffy Lube franchises for oil changes at around 67k and 74k miles. Both times they…read moretold me I was supposed to have had my transmission fluid changed at 60k miles and that it was very dirty -- implying that it looks like it wasn't done and I should definitely get it done. I had my 60k mile service done at the dealership, so the transmission fluid should have been changed then so I was suspicious, of course. Friends of mine know the owner of Joey's so I figured I'd try it out. I set up my service appointment for an oil change, explained my concern regarding the transmission fluid, also expressed some concern regarding my timing belt. He looked at both during the appointment and told me that the fluid definitely wasn't dirty enough to worry about changing yet; my timing belt looked fine and based on the mileage was early for a change anyway. He recommended that the next time I get my oil changed -- if I went to a different garage -- I ask them to look at the rear brakes. They were still okay but were getting low so in the future I'd want to keep an eye on their levels. I really appreciated the honesty regarding the fluid, and the heads-up regarding the brakes. Joey's is out of the way for me, but I'll be giving him my business in the future.
