This is my 1st option whenever I need work done with my brakes and exhaust systems. The people are very helpful and they care about their customers. They take their time to access the issues and they won't charge you an arm and a leg to suck out as much money from you as possible. I'm had my exhaust system repaired which is a pretty serious job and even had smaller jobs done like reattaching a loose muffler. The prices they give you are amazing! Just fractions of what the other commercial auto repair shops will charge! They are first come first serve so definitely give them a call because they are a smaller shop and it may take a little time for them to get to your vehicle but it is well worth it! read more

If you look up the word integrity, you're going to see a picture of the owner Pat without a doubt I've never met a more honest auto place in my life. I went into the Honda dealer. From the first phone call to being recognized the next day simply by the time I showed up and the sound of my car, Pat made me feel like family. He is also up front and was willing to show me exactly what needed to be done while also teaching me more about my car. I have literally been hearing a crazy sound in my car for the past few months. Took it to the dealer and they made me feel crazy because they said they didn't hear the sound and everything was OK with my car. Fast forward to today, I needed to get new brakes and looked up Bargain Brakes and Mufflers and decided to use them for the repair because their reviews were all stellar. Upon coming in I was greeted by the friendly owners who said they would asses the car and ensure I in fact needed brakes. Upon inspection and test drive, they told me that there was a really loud sound that they believed was the tire bearings. Finally, someone also heard the sound and I wasn't crazy LOL! They took the car through a few more tests and positively identified that the bearings were in fact the issue! They gave me a quote on the bearings, brakes and labor that was very reasonable and got the repair going on the spot. After about an hour and a half to 2 hours I was on my out of the shop with a car that drove like it was new with NO CRAZY SOUND lol! I highly recommend this place! This is the best place to bring your car in this area! I came here because my Nissan was making a strange sound and every review on this place is 5 stars! Nothing but good things on Yelp and on google! The staff of friendly and honest!! If you need an emergency fix or don't know what's wrong with your car and need it looked at bring it here! They will take a look at the car and let you know what's wrong and how much before touching it. One tip, make sure you get here as soon as they open with your issue if you can. They work on a first come first serve basis. I came at around 10AM and they were already packed! Of course when you provide great service people will come to you. They were honest with me and told me I would have to wait for a while unless I wanted to come back at opening the next day. I waited for and hour and 1/2, by choice. Well worth it!!! What an honest repair shop. I had my jeep towed to Bargin Breaks n Mufflers today. I thought I need 2 catalytic converters. A 600.00 job. Got call from owner after he put in on computer . He called me I didn't need catalytic converters.That I just needed a regular mechanic. He could have easily did a repair I didn't need. When I asked him what I owed him for his time he said nothing. I highly recommend them. When I need brakes I will definitely go here. It's so nice to know there are still honest mechanics. read more

I had to get an important repair on my car in Atlantic City while I was there for vacation. I had to drive back to NY at night, and without even explaining this, I called and found they had availability. I asked if I brought my car in when they open, how soon would my car would be fixed. I was expecting to have to stay another night for the type of job it was. They said they could get it repaired if I got there before closing time and they stuck with their word!! Very honest and friendly, so good a service that I would consider to drive to Atlantic City from my home in NY (About 3 hour drive) to get my car worked on again at Bargain Brakes and Muffler (if the car can drive there safely! ). read more

He was very helpful and invited me to stop in an hour by for a free estimate. When I arrived, I was greeted by Pat and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Checked this place on Yelp, two good comments (only 2 reviews). I needed an oil change. Trying to do the local small business thing I tried this place. Last Thursday got there at 9, guy says no can do I needed to be here by 8, he does oil changes first thing. Ok, so today, a week later I get there before they open, a little before 8 looked like I was second in line. They open the doors about 8:05 I give the guy the keys, ask him how long, he says not that long, I said well I'll get some breakfast and be back in about an hour. He says, oh no it won't take that long. I sit across the lot having breakfast waiting for them to take my car in. When I notice my car has been taken in I head back. While paying an hour and twenty minutes after dropping off I make a comment about now being late for work. The guy says oh well you have to eat breakfast don't you? The guy is really nice but, $30 for an oil change, an hour plus wait, nothing extra (vacuum, windows top off fluids etc) no receipt for what was done (I did get a receipt for my card). I'm better off at Jiffy Lube. read more

I went to Pat as recommended. I told him what was going on with my exhaust. I left the car - he called me later and told me I had a cracked catalytic converter and the pipe between the resonator and muffler was bad. I o.k'd the pipe at the back of the car and decided that I'd wait on replacing the front catalytic converter. I paid for the car and went home. the following morning I noticed that I could see a exhaust tip exiting below the bumper. The old one was OEM spec, two exhaust tips exiting to the ground and invisible from behind the car. Now I have a single tip that curves under the bumper to exit from behind. I called today and spoke again with Pat, I asked how we can change it back to two tips exiting to the ground for a clean look. he said "we do hundreds of Nissans just like this and never an objection" I reminded Pat that my car was an Infiniti and did not have a notch in the bumper like an Altima. He said "I don't see the problem, I explained to you what we were doing." No you didn't Pat. I had a lifetime warranty on the muffler you took off. Had I known you were replacing my oem spec muffler I would have gotten the lifetime guarantee muffler replaced by AutoZone and had the right muffler and look on my Infiniti not some piece of shit multi fit crappy muffler. The Catalytic Converter that they wanted $1375.00 to replace along with the front exhaust manifolds I WILL GET DONE ELSEWHERE. I RECOMMEND YOU GO ELSEWHERE TOO. read more
